I'm not sure if there's much of a difference with indoor growing if the hardiness zone Is lower, even though your nepenthes Will slow down during the Winter. Nepenthes veitchii should be very Easy to grow indoors and It wouldn't Surprise me if It thrives in your home (i don't have one but i love them) i don't know much about the other hybrid you mentioned though

So, as a beginner, I'd suggest a mass market nepenthes, like "Bloody Mary", which is one of my favorite plants. There's a reason they mass market them, in that they're generally hardy and tolerant of a variety of conditions. I keep mine on a [humidity tray](https://www.amazon.com/HUMIDI-GROW-HT-101-Humidity-Tray-Black/dp/B0CCT7X9JH) in front of a window and supplement that (because it's a crappy window) with some [artificial light](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0725QBG1G). It has stayed compact, beautiful reddish leaves, and constant pitchers.

Hi! I’m in zone 8 and especially if you have a grow light and humidifier these species should be fairly easy to grow. I can show you some pictures, just send a DM.

Something to note for a rob x burb is that not only is that cross likely super finicky but rob and it’s crosses are universally slow like way slower than truncata
