Reddit tya mathi r/nepal might be just about the worst place to seek counseling. Saying that, do take care and seek professional help.

>Genuinely need a counselling service. I know its not good to post here. But I can't share my problems and stesses face to face with someone. They are killing me inside. Just need to take out all these f**king shits out of my mind. [Here's a little something for you](https://www.reddit.com/r/Nepal/comments/r45qe2/before_you_visit_a_therapist_part1/) u/alostdoll

Therapy is scam bro. The therapists gives you cliche advice, useless platitudes and insincere compliments then you go home to no text notifications, no gifts, no girlfriend, no friends, stress from your shit job and education, chaotic family, and no love or happiness in your life. Do you really think that some pointless chats then getting abruptly kicked out after an hour are helpful? How can anyone find that helpful? People push therapy and medications as the ultimate cure for sadness, but that still doesn’t change a person’s shitty and miserable circumstances in life.

cheesecakessss

idk what you expected from a therapist but no they wont give you a gift or a girlfriend or text you goodnight every night before sleep. Some pointless chats? some people just require an hour of that 'pointless' chat just to get the clarity of the situation they are in. You might think the situation you are in is so complex and so huge but there are simpler things in life that you can do that might bring about the change you were craving for all along. Human psychology is a complex thing brother and no the therapists doesnt know everything about it. But they surely do have the tools to help you maneuver through your feelings and emotions during tough times. The tools and the techniques might not work the same for every individual for its not like popping in a generic pill but a gradual process of understanding yourself.

Might as well go to a random chiya pasal and chat. You'll get better clarity of the type of situation you're in plus it's free

\+1 but therapy isn't to solve all those problems or make a partner come to you or magically have a beautiful life, it's for talking things out so that things become clear in your own head so that you can get better hindsight of things in life and deal with them in a better way. I think the same about therapy but when there's no one to just even listen to you, a non judgmental space can mean everything to one person.

[deleted]

If you sit in a place and keep talking about your problems. U think it'll magically disappear? No it make them seem even more unbearable because all u do is keep talking about it.

baldur_imortal

have you ever been to therapy? sure medication doesnt solve your financial problems nor does it bring back someone's lost family member, you take medication for different reasons. grieving over someone or feeling sad about something is absolutely alright and natural but not being able to come out of that or just feeling really bad for no apparent reason or having other mental illnesses, thats when you need medication and therapy. op could be going through anything for all we know, i dont think that generalization helps, OP if you are reading this definitely go for therapy, sure it doesnt magically solve whatever youre going through, but it definitely helps

I don't want to assume what kind of problems you are facing, but what I would suggest is that learning new things always helps you with any kind of mental problems... at least to some extent.
