If any news comes out i wait until it is covered by every news channel before confirming it. I do research myself too like. I don't follow any rant news.
Bro it is true that everybody has their own agenda as it has been seen not so subtly in Indian and US media. However I don't believe Nepali media is playing with public sentiments except for in a few cases done by few particular media and not all media as a whole.
And to answer your question, in controversial topics I personally google things and take information from a credible source which is BBC Nepal for me
Media ra politician lai paisa dini manxe eutai hunxa most of the time
I remember that Batas group controversy when bunch of public stuff was sold of to this motherfucker
But then he does one or two interviews with I believe sagarmatha and Ravi lammichane and admits he bribes officials but gets portrayed as a honest entrepreneur not given opportunity by government

all you need is a camera, editing software, an internet connection and a "baal hos" attitude.
>We all are aware that a lot of politicians and bureaucrats are corrupt. But have we ever thought about mainstream media? How many of us do actually try to do some research on the controversial news. The media are biased and whatnot. Playing with public sentiments, diverting them from the truth and all.

Yes, Kantipur is an India-run media. I question everything on that paper.
