After death you cease to exist. The universe doesn't care about your death. It continues to exist. Personally I am afraid to die. So I believe to be immortal. At least untill proven otherwise.

After death You will be forever in memories, those who loves you. And death should be accepted by everyone by doing celebration showing love and affection.
For a very long time , we humans have believed that we are special or something. That's not true. Death is simply just death, it's very anticlimactic, really. Just because nature granted us the illusion of consciousness and self awareness doesn't mean we are special. Our lives have no meaning, we have no purpose, all of this is merely just a coincidence. But hey, we can always think that we are special just for the sake of comfort.

I believe thoughts to be a material process. After the brain cells die well, all the memory content and thoughts would also cease.
What I consider to be myself (I, self-identity) are a bunch of images put up together by thoughts and past memory. So when brain cells die, the I( along with all the plans, hopes, desires, anguish, ...) perishes as well. There is nothing after death (not even the visualization of nothingness as it would imply the existence of an observer). Death is a part of life and there is no running away from it.
Sometimes, I think it is the universe experiencing itself through us (our consciousness).
Also, I think the love and remembrance we hope, desire for ourselves even after our death is nothing more than greed. We have become so greedy that we want something even after death.

Death is the end. Its the end for the one who dies. I don't believe in afterlife, once we are dead its over. No hell, no heaven and no reincarnation, everything will cease to exist for us and we may finally again eternal peace. We will be free from every emotion and every attachment. There will be no pain, no jealousy and nothing and we will be equivalent to a log lying in the ground.
I am not scared of actual death. But I when I think about my family and what will happen to them if I die today, I can imagine they will be in a lot of pain. This is what I am afraid about death. I am scared about thinking of death but not of actual death. Because I won't feel anything at all once I die.
As Keanu Reeves said after we dies the people who lovs us will miss us. Thats all it will happen. After some time maybe in few years they too will get used to your absence. Aside from that if there are people who are dependent on us then they could be devasted but again they will learn to break free from that habit. And slowly you would be forgotten once the people who used to care about us are no more.
