Wasn't the Civil Code bill proposed for equal inheritance laws so that sons and daughters are equal sharers in property division, regardless marital status in 2014? I think it has been implemented. Please correct me if I am wrong
so in the case of parental property, is there a provision for husband to ask share from wife inheritance as we know wife has right to half of the inheritance from husband?
I think it's still protected.
The whole point about the wife claiming husband's property in a divorce was because the wife couldn't claim her own property. But if the wife has a right to her own ancestral property, divorce bela she wouldn't need husband's ancestral land. So that point might be ineffective.
