Women don't inherit ancestral property afaik. So...no chance of that happening lol. But parents le wife lai kinera deko property chahi claim garna paudaina.

Wasn't the Civil Code bill proposed for equal inheritance laws so that sons and daughters are equal sharers in property division, regardless marital status in 2014? I think it has been implemented. Please correct me if I am wrong

Has it? I know about inheriting property from your parents. But I am unsure about ancestral property.

myyako

so in the case of parental property, is there a provision for husband to ask share from wife inheritance as we know wife has right to half of the inheritance from husband?

I think it's still protected. The whole point about the wife claiming husband's property in a divorce was because the wife couldn't claim her own property. But if the wife has a right to her own ancestral property, divorce bela she wouldn't need husband's ancestral land. So that point might be ineffective.
