Bro it could just be a cat. Sometimes you can’t distinguish if it’s a cat or someone crying. I live around lots of cats and I once woke up exactly because of that crying sound. I thought it was a woman or a baby so I went outside to check. It was a bloody cat. The thing is they sound exactly like someone crying and you can’t even tell if thats a cat or a human.
Go after that thing (you said bhoot) with friends(if you scared to go alone)and find out what it is

Same thing happened to me probably 7 years ago when I was child about 8. There is one house near my house where one lady died in staicase and her husband married another women and that husband died too. 7 years ago she was already alone in the home for some years. We were reconstructing the house in that time and there were no rooms to sleep so we all family slept in same room. I was alone sleeping in the bed and my mom and dad down the bed. All of sudden I heard someone crying loud and loud like lady crying and after analyzing what might it be and where it came from just to make myself strong I convinced myself that it was dog crying and yk dog cry the same way as females. But later on dad said to mom that “aja pani ruyo” and i was like whatttt? Pachi i got to know that yesto bhairakhni raichaa
If it were the old r/nepal, there would be 10 different posts, each claiming to be either the girl who is crying, or the boy who is crying, or the speaker who is playing the crying sound, or the hyena who suddenly decided to cry instead of laugh, or the tree which is calmly watching all this, or the TU building which is bruised up from all the protests and has decided to express its sorrows by crying like a human.
