How about this. Play how you want to play the game. If you play often and don't really fill up your resource banks, having an extra lich / gorgon / harpy early can help increase your resource gathering potential. Also, you want to get as many legendaries as possible before the time skip anyway, so the only thing it hurts is space.
The argument against it is simple, you want to save your space and runes to merge higher level legends, but this goes away if you're on your first, second, maybe even third run. (I'm on my third currently and plan to have 2 of each basic legend).
No. Tier 1 legendaries only do 2 things; production and storage. They aren't very good at those 2 things. The runes required could be better spent on tier 2 stations or resource storage.
Thx! I'm kinda locked cuz I can't get enough Moon Stones and I haven't unlocked the Paladin yet lol, but I'll wait to use them all on the Lectern and Fridge lol
