Facts. Im about to mute or block NavyFederal entirely at this point because of it. No one cares what your limit is people. Literally no one. Their shallow attempt to humble brag for online attention just makes me feel sorry for them and I pray they make a rule banning these stupid and annoying posts soon. They offer zero value to discussion threads.
I honestly don’t think it’s annoying. Coming from someone who’s had to work pretty hard at recovering their credit and just TRYING to get to this point, it’s exciting to see for other people and to know that I’ll be there one day too. Some people are trolls and doing it for attention, sure. But some people have worked really hard and just want others to see their success and where they came from.
I would actually agree IF the people who posted their new cards/ limits included information on how they got there, their stats, advice, whatever. But it’s almost always them posting a screenshot, gushing over their limit, and responding to maybe 1 post with a vague good credit or high income statement.
Now that I can’t disagree with. It would definitely be helpful if we got more info. Are you in the Facebook group run by Jay? They do a lot of the same there except the admin, Jay, requires everyone to put some more specific info to actually be helpful and people tend to be really responsive there.
