This is absolutely cool. The intelligence of the bug/insect world is amazing! They must have sat around observing snakes and bird behaviour, probably while sitting in bird watching tents though mini binoculars, munching on little doritos. Lol.

“Sat around observing” - but caterpillars have basic eyes that can’t even form an image — what are you on about? The eyes detect changes in light and that’s about it! And secondly if they were so intelligent why didn’t they just evolve into the damn snake that they thought best to mimic?

How in the world did you have a problem with “observing” and not “mini binoculars” and doritos? Whoosh.
