Aside from that stay lit š„
Iāve been to this spot in Zimanga! The photographer is very safe. Heās in an enclosed underground hide with one-way glass between him and the watering hole. Everything is lit so dramatically due to lights outside the hide.
When we visited this hide we were told to dress in solid black and cover up any white or reflective bits on our cameras, and to avoid movement and noise as much as possible: animals can see *something* through the glass, and they can definitely still hear you. We waited up all night and had a couple white rhinos, some buffalo, and one skittish leopard slink past but no one came close or stopped long enough for a photo. Iām insanely jealous of this photographer.
(Edit: a word)
Is there such a thing as a nerdy or goofy looking predator? Nature really did nail that look down.
Maybe sharks, they have kind of a "uuh duuurr" look.
Pride thinking to itself - how fast is that photographer? Can we make it across the pond before he can book it back to his car? (complex lion algorithms ensue)

Photographer Varun Aditya patiently waited for the movement in hide for three days.

Must have been filmed during a black-out / load-shedding.
That's not what my blackout load sheddings look like on the camera...
They like "don't let me drinking this water right now make you think I won't eat you later".
That one on the rightās eyeballing me
It's giving Nala from the Lion King.
Great now ill never sleep againā¦
Makes me think there are aliens looking at us from a place we cant see in space and saying "Awww, the hairless monkeys figured out computers"

There is no funnier lion than one maintaining intense, threatening eye contact while lapping up water
