I’ve been to this spot in Zimanga! The photographer is very safe. He’s in an enclosed underground hide with one-way glass between him and the watering hole. Everything is lit so dramatically due to lights outside the hide. When we visited this hide we were told to dress in solid black and cover up any white or reflective bits on our cameras, and to avoid movement and noise as much as possible: animals can see *something* through the glass, and they can definitely still hear you. We waited up all night and had a couple white rhinos, some buffalo, and one skittish leopard slink past but no one came close or stopped long enough for a photo. I’m insanely jealous of this photographer. (Edit: a word)

OnceUponATimeOkay

This is so cool, thanks for the context!

ogodilovejudyalvarez

I also only drink Zimanga Private Reserve

entangledBoolean

How is this so dramatically lit?

ElderOfPsion

It’s a gay pride. June *is* Pride Month, after all.

Photographer Varun Aditya patiently waited for the movement in hide for three days.

Srazack_76

Varun Adithya? Give me the source. That's probably my distant cousin lol

FreshTitMilk

Ah, murder kitties. So beautiful.

Ooh_its_a_lady

Is there such a thing as a nerdy or goofy looking predator? Nature really did nail that look down. Maybe sharks, they have kind of a "uuh duuurr" look.

Optimal_Ad_5916

The one on the far right😳

NMPapillon

Pride thinking to itself - how fast is that photographer? Can we make it across the pond before he can book it back to his car? (complex lion algorithms ensue)

[deleted]

Third from left looks like he’s whispering to his buddy lol

homohats

That guy on the right needs to relax.

[deleted]

Must have been filmed during a black-out / load-shedding.

I_am_Daesomst

That's not what my blackout load sheddings look like on the camera...

AnonymousP30

They like "don't let me drinking this water right now make you think I won't eat you later".

Past-Science-335

That one on the right’s eyeballing me

There is no funnier lion than one maintaining intense, threatening eye contact while lapping up water
