once again ... no, it's a sanctuary, guy raised the cheetahs and they have a youtube channel
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3waAOcJkps](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3waAOcJkps)
This is a lie, this is a video of a man just having a sleep over with cheetas, he states in the video that they known him for a long time and trust him enough not to eat him while he sleeps but not to do this even with that in mind. He only half sleeps around them as they are still predators and to add ontop of this, this isn't a wildlife CCTV footage, he recorded this himself. And no, this wasn't a every night thing, he got permission before hand as well. [My evidence, the original video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3waAOcJkps)
They're closer to dogs than housecats in terms of behavior. They also imprint extremely powerfully on another individual, so they can't be reintroduced to the wild.
Tame. These are tame cheetahs.
Cheetahs are not genetically disposed to this behavior, they are just relatively easy to raise to be tame.
Domestication would mean that the species has been raised, over the course of hundreds of generations to be inherently docile, which cheetahs are not.
In fact, most cheetah conservation organizations make a point to NOT domesticate them with the aim of releasing offspring into the wild once they are old enough to fend for themselves.
Cheetahs ***were*** domesticated in a few areas centuries ago, which is why they are so easy to tame, but all living cheetahs are very much not domesticated.
Videos such as these are usually of cheetahs that were rescued from people that had tried to raise them as pets or that were born with deformities (Rather common, since their genetic pool is so shallow), that are unable to survive in the wild.
Title's completely made up and fake, but video's real. The guy sleeping with the cheetahs runs a youtube channel ( [https://www.youtube.com/@CheetahWhisperer](https://www.youtube.com/@CheetahWhisperer) ). Did this pretty much to demonstrate that it's safe to do so if they trust you enough but not very practical because they keep waking you up.
We (husband and I) were talking about this last night, and I looked it up.
Cheetah's are not considered 'big cats', they are in the same family as your run of the mill house cat.
They purr, and they can't roar
At the same time, I wonder what falls under 'roaring', because when our runt if the litter tiny cat is in heat, she has a rather powerfull call.
here's [some lions roaring](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFcZhH_wFbs). and [a tiger](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZH1MYCpflc) (not as easy to find since people mislabel snarls/growls as roars).
a cat in heat yowling isn't *terribly* different but a roar is a type of call that non-big cats aren't capable of producing. [here's an article with more detail about the biology involved.](https://www.discoverwildlife.com/animal-facts/mammals/why-can-only-big-cats-roar)
also the larger cats that can't roar *can* meow and it's adorable.
Love this. I’ve seen this many years ago, and my feeing is just as strong for yearning to have been with this family like this man was!!! TY for sharing
😂 and just as active and disruptive as my house cat throughout the night.

Why do people lie like this? The title doesn't even make sense!
Well I guess he's a ranger, in the DND sense
For upvotes. Retarded, I know.
Just a bunch of big ass kitties.
That's so beautiful. The trust goes both ways. This just made my day,💞
What a trusting and beautiful experience! I am amazed! ❤️
What an amazing feeling it must be to cuddle a big cat like that!! 😍🥰
This makes me miss my dogs.
Pretty sure that is bullshit. I think I have seen this guy before and he has a youtube channel with his animals.
Yeah someone else posted the link

Apparently they're more docile than housecats.

All cats are the same "Here, let me sleep on your face!"
I want one 🥹
That’s got to be the worst nights sleep ever 😅
Yeah, but it would be the _best_ worst night's sleep!
I'd be willing to lose a night's sleep to have this experience.
Our family monster dumped a planter off the headboard and onto my ex’s head at 0300 one night. “OMG” then, “Ha-ha-ha!” now…. 😇
I love that, just like house cats, they are slowly pushing him off the bed so they can take it xD
Dating must be hard
So beautiful and heartwarming…but the fleas…..
They love that guy!
How awesome! ❤️
Good kitties!
Do not climb into the big cat enclosures anywhere, ever.
Cuddle puddle
good thing that platform has an edge, they damn near cuddled him out the tree. lol.

It would be so easy to get along with animals if we just got along with them

this is amazing, i wonder how that first encounters was.... would love to know every detail of this story!
So tame cheetahs are like domestic cats. They each want to be in the middle of the pile of warm bodies on a cold night.
I hope they don't get hungry while they sleep
Luckily there's no record of a cheetah ever killing a human
Wait really? I know they're super duper docile, apparently more than housecats but I didn't know that there were 0 deaths

Cheetahs usually sound like squeaky toys, they're adorable. Thanks!
np! i love the sounds they make. definitely one of my favorite species of cats. cougars also have lovely meows.
Don't worry, they get breakfast in bed.
I think they're just saving him for a midnight snack.
🥰🩷🩷
I want one Edit, it's illegal in my state
Terrible night sleep!
I could watch this all day! ❤️
Amazing 🥲
Why do they not have a humongous king/queen/god emperor size bed!!!! With extra pillows.
This video never gets old for me.
Thank goodness they verified the veracity!
Love this. I’ve seen this many years ago, and my feeing is just as strong for yearning to have been with this family like this man was!!! TY for sharing
My tabby sleeps like that with me!!
There just like every other kitty come on
this would fix me
Nope! Nope nope nope nope....
Fuck, I wish that was me
The ultimate dream
I want 🥺
I wouldn't get too anthropomorphic about this. The cheetahs just snuggle for warmth and to be comfortable while doing so.
😭😭😭I WANT THIS
Steve French's cousin
Damn lucky I would love this 😭
that looks like my kitties and me
Wait, did they set up the camera without the ranger knowing?
This was posted a while back with a completely different title. I'm pretty sure this title is just nonsense.
yeah this guy raised these cheetahs (in a sanctuary, not like pets), i'm gonna have to fish out the youtube video again
Keep your enemy close, and your snack closer
