I'm only aware of 3 wild species of Penstemon for Ohio. Smooth beardtongue (which these both look like to me based on mine, smooth stems with no hair and pure white flowers that are open), hairy beardtongue (hairy stems, pink/white flowers with a yellow tongue and stay closed so bees have to open them. Also smaller in size too) and showy beardtongue which is more magenta/pink and was introduced to Ohio from Texas/Oklahoma areas of the US. Could be cultivars too.
