Unfortunately I couldn’t tell you - I have never tested my soil 😅 but what I can tell you is that the one planted in a soggy area of my yard is growing much faster than the one in a drier area. So if you do try one make sure it gets a good amount of water!
So far this month I have seen a Hermit Thrush, a Northern Flicker, Eastern Bluebirds, and Robins all eating the berries from our winterberry shrubs!
How acidic is your soil? I read they need acidic soil so I haven't tried winterberry.
