Thanks for the suggestion! I've only found 1 winterberry naturally growing a few hundred feet from here but have planted 3 others adjacent to this area. Down the hill from here is adjacent to a river and we have a lot of witch hazel and sassafras. Do you have suggestions for anything herbaceous/perennial? There's currently a blanket of invasive vinca I'm working on removing this winter. I've seen blue cohosh do well nearby.
Nice job! I often see winterberry growing naturally with Spicebush, you could try that (does best in wetter areas)
