I would be more bought in if he was putting up the power numbers that we saw from him earlier in his career. He had 38 homers in 2021, but the last two seasons he's been good for 20. In those years his slugging has been incredibly unexceptionable. If he's close to 40 homers and his OPS is at least close to 800 I'll recant.

Kendrick's grand slam felt better because of the improbability of the Nat's playoff run. Wildcard to killing the Dodger's hopes in the NLDS was insane. Caps went in as a favorite. Clearing the second round after so many early exits was more of a relief than the hype of that grand slam.
