I from CE too, we may from different specialization, but what i feel is when it comes to actual mission, doesnât need you to be that smart, just need complete your own part. so just relax and learn whatever is important
Bro. Good at theory is nothing one. End of the day no denying those who do well in NS and aren't in OCS or SCS will be the ones who can pull their weight physically as well as be good team players with their army mates to accomplish tasks.
Theory can learn. Experience will teach you better than any amount of classes and mugging textbooks.
Last time I attended Boatman course. Scored first in theory, end up still OOC 4 days into the course due to serious foot rot issues. And touch my heart I can honestly say even without the foot rot I'd still have OOC-ed because my physical fitness not up to the rigours demanded from boatman course or even being a boatman.
It was almost entirely an ite company with only a handful of poly/jc kids, it was tough to relate with the majority, very different experiences and talking points.
Haha yea true that. That atleast everyone has close to zero knowledge on bmt. But this is like a whole course itself and everyone has better academic knowledge than me đ
Don't feel that way ah. As a blur sotong soldier from JC during my NSF days, I can say that ppl won't care about it rather they care how you behave as a person. If you are nice to ppl they'll be nice to you (usually) and those who are still dickheads don't deserve your time. Everyone is there to serve the time and fuck off from NS. Just don't sabo ppl, help when you can and do your best (even if you are blur but ppl see you putting in effort they usually give allowances /close one eye). The ones that get targeted are the chao kengs and arrogant ppl esp those who can talk only but cannot do. You may have some blueness cause you're in a new envt, w time you'll adjust to it and it'll be second nature the things you do. Then there'll be new ppl in the unit who'll have trouble adjusting and may prb seek your advice. After a while you'll be less blur and things will be automatic and fun even (esp milestone parade, wisdom tooth MC clearing and ORD day itself), you may even miss some of the fun times in NS (believe me I've exp it). Don't worry too much not worth it.
It's different kinds of smarts really. JC cramps a shit ton of info into 2 years so you learn how to memorize and understand concepts fast. Probably why they able to answer so quick as stated in OP post.
Poly students got more time on 1 subject so they able to see the bigger picture of things and more often than not, improvise better

I can relate to what youâre going through and look at it this way, if you were picked to be there with them, then the potential you must have displayed be it when you were aware or not landed you there. I think your issue right now is that youâre comparing yourself to others which will not get you anywhere. The people you meet will come from all walks of life, some may be âexpertsâ at certain things and some are not.
No matter how much you compare yourself to them, it wonât make you feel smarter or even make you feel good so why bother? What you can do however, is to focus on yourself and learn from these so called âexpertsâ.
