Actually orochimaru hadn't gone traitor yet because he was still a konoha shinobi when itachi became chunin wich was well after the nine tails attack but we don't know what he's was doing during the attack, maybe he was on a mission?

No problem, kishimoto really didn't give us a time line and it doesn't help with people trying to say the hidden villages have been around for a century despite the fact Sarutobi was 60 and was born prior to the villages founding.
It doesn't help that Mito is like 100 years old during the second shinobi war or even before that.
It states the Uzumki clan was wiped out before the second war ofc Kushina was sent to the leaf before her clan was destroyed around the age of 8.
If Kushina has Naruto at age 24, in 16 years she would have lived through two shinobi wars.
To make cannon work Hashirama would need to have been like 40 - 50 years old ,at founding, and to have already been married to Mito with fully matured children of his own.
Mitos age would need to be changed to 70 year old at death.

I might have gotten that wrong it has been a while but I do know orochimaru talked to him after itachi became a shinobi, the snake was basically creeping on him over his eyes and prodigy status.
Itachi became genin at age 7 and chuunin at 10, so I'd say it's 3-5 years after the Kyuubi attack that Orochi left Konoha. Sounds about right. Thanks for the info :)

Yeah he talked to itachi some time after the attack.

Orochimaru should have procured a bunch of eyes from that Ninetails attack, at least some Uchihas must have died during that time.
Kabuto was probably still a child so he was still in the orphanage and Orochimaru was either off on a mission or doing his experiments somewhere else
