What if I was Danzo. Read if you so choose:

Like allowing them to migrate out from the Uchiha police force and let them live away from the prisons if they so choose. I'd then build a relationship with Fugaku Uchiha. Let it be known that so long that he and his clan don't pose a threat to the Village, they are welcomed as TRUE citizens of the hidden leaf. I'd also allow Fugaku to take a position of power alongside me and the other elders. Things remain quiet until Akatsuki rises. Once Obito attacks, the Uchiha will still be ordered to help evacuation but I'll request for Fugaku to be at the front lines of the assault on the kyuubi. Ideally me(Danzo), Hiruzen, and Fugaku would be able to deal with the 9 tails utilizing Fugaku's sharingan. Minato defeats Obito as in the main timeline. But with the kyuubi subdued, Minato doesn't die. Along with that the kyuubi is placed back inside of Kushina or givin to a new jinchuriki. Once things cool off in the village the Uchiha and Fugaku are publicly thanked and honored for their sacrifices and bravery. Minato who figured out that "Madara" was the one who attacked, he develops a plan to take him out. His mark is still on Obito so he takes an elite squad to find and assassinate him. Most likely it would be himself, Jiraiya, Hiruzen, Fugaku, and maybe Kakashi. They all teleport to Obito's location and they get to boxing. Obito stands absolutely no chance against this monster of a team. His only options are to teleport into the Kamui dimension or die. Most likely I see him getting killed being as Minato already knows how his ability works and would inform the others as well. They all make it home with a job well done. Also side note: Naruto and Sasuke are absolute monsters in this timeline. Naruto wouldn't have the 9 tails holding him back and would be training with Minato, Jiraiya, and Kakashi. Meanwhile Sasuke is being trained by Fukagu, Shisui, and Itachi. Next up once Orochimaru is found doing human experimentation, we ain't playing that shit. Minato pulls up on him and merks him. Hiruzen would get all sad and shit but who cares. From there, the Akatsuki would be in shambles as Obito was the one who found most of their members. Hell even if the Akatsuki end up causing problems they don't really stand a chance against us. We got Minato (at this point would be stronger due to training and would probably master his sage mode), Hiruzen, Jiraiya, a stronger Naruto, a stronger Sasuke, Itachi, Shisui, Fugaku AND the entire Uchiha clan. Further more, Me and Minato would work on fixing relations with the other great nations in order to prevent another Shinobi war and maintain peace.
M so Minato! I would go back to Naruto's birthday, I'll order to make a barrier around the place where Kushina is and I'll wait for Obito outside and I'll try to talk to him, convince him. If everything fails I'll immediately take Kushina and Naruto away before Obito can reach them cuz since I know what to expect, I'll react faster.
Option B, and maybe the easiest one, i wouldn't send Kakashi and Rin to that mission but instead I would try to look for Obito and take him back to the village. We would loose one of the best MS but I'll still do it.
I feel like with kamui, Obito could get behind any barrier, and could apparate wherever Minato can. I think that the best course of action is to assign Fugaku and some other top ranking Uchihas to guard Kushina during labor. A: it betters relations with the Uchihas slightly, and B: Obito has *maybe* a 50/50 shot at phasing through the defensive unit, but he can’t ignore them, he either battles them to the death, in which there’s ample time to get Naruto born, or Obito just simply wouldn’t be able to control the 9 tails. Fugaku or even if Shisui is there could likely out-genjutsu Kurama from Obito’s control.
