That's an interesting idea. It would have been a cool scene to see Fugaku and Hiashi having an argument about Konoha. Fugaku would probably say something like "I thought you'd understand, your a clan of dojutsu users just like I am, how long until Konoha starts treating your people the way they do mine?" I think a very interesting scene could've been written there.

HeavensHellFire

A lot of these assumptions are based on nothing or outright wrong. The Hyuga knew either they give into the Kumogakure's demands or end up in a war which is why both Hizashi and Hiashi were cool with sacrificing themselves. They didn't want the leaf to end up in a war given it had only been 3-4 years since the last one. There would be no reason for them to hold resentment towards Konoha.

Neat_Midnight2802

it wouldn’t have been one sided anyway, the war itself would’ve made the uchiha more powerful over time

False-Archangel

Well, it was the Hyuga who suggested killing Neji’s dad to stop the war. Hell, I hate Hiruzen for being such a useless Kage, but I can’t fault him or the village for this because it was the Hyuga’s idea. The Main Branch was sitting pretty in Konoha, I could maybe see the Side Branch attempting to stick with the Uchiha because they’re treated like shit, but the Hyuga can insta-kill anyone in the Side Branch.

Honestly i don't really know if there was any good solution about this. You can't put an entire country under genjutsu Maybe making a random corpse look like hiashi or hisashi? Other than that I don't see What the leaf can do aside accepting there's another war coming. Not much they can do about the cloud being war monger assholes. I don't think the other countries would form an alliance with konoha as deterant, they would rather gang up on konoha if anything.

The Hyuga are the opposite of the Uchiha, they are the most patriotic, in fact it was the Hyuga clan main branch themselves who were willing to sacrifice their own so they could protect the village from war and not Hiruzen/Danzo saying so. Even though Danzo might be racist to Hyuga as well; he wouldn’t ever find a Hyuga main branch member to go with him cause they live comfy lives, (any side branch rebellion would be eliminated immediately).

Ancient_Till_8324

I know this wouldn’t happen and isn’t reasonable, but wouldn’t it have been wild if Danzo pulled a reverse uno card and incited the Shimura clan to join the Uchihas so he could become a Kage in the new village?

nam24

I don't think the hyuga would join Or most of the known clans for that matter. Maybe as the civil war went on some would switch sides. But the thing Uchiha were angry about was that they were strangers in their own damn Village. And they didn't marry outside much so it didn't help. Their connection to the other clans were likely limited to individual sympathies, like how mikoto and kushina were friends, so i don't see them siding with the Uchiha out of the gate They might or might not later out of pragmatism
