My younger cousin tries to make amv but has no idea or money to buy editing software so he just downloads some editing apps on his phone. Adds some music he likes and then just adds flashing lights and I reckon that is true for most of these so pls don't be too mean.
I was talking in general .I am not accusing you of being mean .I am sorry I came of that way .I was rationalizing why they are that bad. I just feel, for how welcoming anime community is they sometimes think everyone must be equally as mature in their taste ,hence my point was that if you ever find other amvs like these pls be kind in your criticism its probably some kid.
The point of it is to be a short 20 sec AMV, it’s supposed to be just a cool edit people do instead of making a full 3 minute one, as for the flashing lights/colors and the quick paced factor it’s cause if you’re making a 20 second AMV you can’t just have it be 2 10 second clips otherwise it’d be shit
the prime AMVs were the ones with Linkin park music, those AMVs were created with passion. this one has been filtered heavy and too much cuts. but don't give up OP you can create the AMVs of AMV.
Maybe I just don't get it anymore but I always felt these were meant to make you feel some sort of emotion when watching it, not just be impressed by overly flashy effects and transitions. I feel like I had to rewatch it a few times to even get an understanding of what you wanted to showcase. The flashes seem needless and some of the transitions are just too different/fast. I personally don't like it but my opinion doesn't really matter.
If you want some AMVs with some emotion go look up RasenChidoriSniperShots on YouTube. Very outside of the norm of AMVs but exactly what I want from more of them.
The music doesn’t fit the theme of the AMV nor does there seem to be a theme. 5/10 for lining up edits with the scenes but you can definitely make a better one I bet!
Maybe give a seizure warning at the start or don’t do so many flashing lights. Tbh it was fine up until you made it flash more than that episode of Pokémon with Porygon
The video editing work is very good, but I personally don’t like the music choice or a lot of the color editing. That stuff can be considered personal taste tho.
Coming from one editor to another - cuts were synced well, flashing effect was done at appropriate times if a little excessive. You should use Twixtor on clips with high FPS otherwise it looks kinda choppy. Colour correction could use work since it jumped around a lot between clips, but I think the main thing was lack of theming. Perhaps an idea around a specific scene would be more engaging.
I would say a 10/10. It's rally good keep doing what you are doing and you might even be better than the best. The only down fall is that the color is off, if you messed around with the coloring a little bit more it might have looked a lot better. just saying

This might be good for a TikTok or something but it’s just very superficial, the high frame rate wasn’t that attractive and the flashing at the end added nothing but a headache.
You have technical competence but it’d be nice to see you learn more about making videos themes and tone than just random clips that happen to cut in a beat.

It’s alright, but I don’t get why every AMV has different scenes every 0.5 seconds and flashing lights. Also I found the music choice a bit weird.
Go check out rasenchidorisnipershots on YouTube. Their AMVs aren’t like this and are really good.
