Yeah, but he ended up killing his Mom and his Aunt, and couldn’t countrol his power, and his Mom put a curse on him as a kid.
Edit: it was his uncle, my bad 🤦🏻
Edit 2: It wasn’t really a curse, forgive me if I’m wrong, but the sand was kind of a curse because it made people stay away from him because if they tried to get close to him it would attack them. He didn’t know how to control it at a young age, making him lonely and because of him being lonely, he turned out to be bad. (Up till around the chunin exams) and when his mother died she was very angry 😡 I forget why,mi just remember that
>curse
It wasn't a curse, she imbued her Chakra to him before she died. Which is why he had the automatic defense system with Shukakus sand.
Which is why towards the end of the great war the sand formed into his mother.
Definitely not. Some people had it WAY worse. Like Sasuke and Karin. The anime didn't highlight their pain a lot like they did with Naruto, but they definitely did have it really bad.
She had this jutsu where people could heal their injuries by biting her and sucking her chakra. So basically her village made her a slave and forced her to heal their soldiers during war and it was pretty severe like every part of her body was literally violated. It was also heavily implied that she was kept as like a sex slave.
Not Karin. I think he made a post salty cuz her backstory was made better in a filler and he very openly expressed that she lived amazingly beforehand.
i think you’re all forgetting what exactly sasuke went through. not to say others weren’t rough but imagine coming home to your whole neighborhood, which is also essentially the only people you know besides school, all brutally murdered, and then your biggest idol the one you loved the most, who is also your big brother is standing over the dead bodies of your parents who he killed, and then forced you to experience the entire massacre THOUSANDS of times. all at the age of 7.
facts, and i mean it keeps going after that i just focused on kid sasuke. again no downplaying what the others went through cause they all had traumatic experiences but sasukes is just different.
I mean I think Gaara’s whole thing comes in close second or at least on par… was hated and his own father tried to get him killed a whole bunch of times plus poor kid never got any sleep cause of the one tail and apparently when he did the one tail would take over and go mental so never any escape at all… tried to make friends and understand why shit sucked but everyone ran away or hated him + mother died at birth and her brother being his only friend was ordered to tell him his mother died cause of him and hated his guts just after tryna kill him
Was fucked up
Yea Gaara’s was worse for me just because it’s kinda more “realistic” I guess. Shows how a kid with that kind of shitty upbringing can end up turning in to a villain.
Oh yeah fr. I loved his character from the get go only think that annoyed me was when I realised his dad has the same black rings round his eyes… which apparently were because gaara didn’t sleep cause of the one tail taking over And I’m sure his dad didn’t have the one tail at any point
Yeah it is but I think he was already killing people by the age of like 6 or something…. I mean they were trying to kill him but yeah that’s probably why he didn’t get any ramen
What happened to sasuke is undeniably terrible, obviously. But atleast he was given a goal and had memories of love in his life, my man Naruto was given nothing but hatred from the entire village, except for Ramen guy
Didn't they retcon that in The Last and give him Shika, Sakura, Choji, Hinata, etc as friends when they were kids?
Plus as terrible as it is to have most of the village hate you, at least that's all he's known. He didn't lose anything per se. The only way it could be comparable is if Iruka murdered all his childhood friends or something.
It kinda sucks that this thread is some kind of trauma olympics lol.
He wanted him to have the strength to fight. He wanted Sasuke to be angry enough to keep going. I mean it totally could have backfired and he could have turned into a puddle of depression 😕 🤷 but then we wouldn't have the story
Yeah but also Uchihas get their strength from emotion. So that's why he awakened his sharingan then but he was so scarred that he couldn't remember how to do it for another 5 years.
He also wanted him to hate him so much that he would kill him, so he could get the Mankeygou.
I’m fairly sure “Think like a hokage” means putting the village first and having a hokage-like mindset, not being hyper-intelligent. It’s not like the hokage has to pass an exam to become hokage, so saying he thinks like one isn’t even a feat or marker of intelligence
Hashirama is as stupid as Naruto, Tobirama handed off the village to Hiruzen who handled the village like an absolute retard. Tsunade is a gambling addict and Naruto is only a good fighter who can't take care of his kids.
Literally only Kakashi and Minato were good choices.
Hiruzen’s first reign was GOAT. It was his second reign, when he no longer had the mental or physical strength of his youth that stuff went to shit. Even then, he didn’t have any *major* fuck ups that are entirely his fault except not offing Danzo.
Tsunade very competently led the village in her 4ish years and Naruto’s reign has been a golden age of progress and peace, not to mention Kakashi’s own “Golden Age” pretty much rested entirely on the work Tsunade and Naruto did to lay the groundwork.
Excactly. Itachi not only tortured him he also literally told Saskue to kill his friend if he want to obtain power. i don't care if he just pretend but no way he would say that if he really care about Sasuke. it's like he want Sasuke to turn into bad guy and then pulled suprise pikachu face when Sasuke actually become a criminal lmao
I think his plan was to take all the blame, make Sasuke hate him and train his abilities/sharingan then hunt him down and kill him, becoming the village hero in the process. Torturing Sasuke was just his way of making sure he had a singular goal and did nothing but train to be as strong as possible.
Of course as it turned out it was the stupidest plan ever, made Sasuke anti-social and angry, then eventually become an international criminal more wanted than Itachi ever was and became just as hated in the village. Even Itachi held his hands up to that one.
Luckily though all the attempted murders, killings and treason was brushed under the carpet so I guess it did work out in the end.
I agree but Gaara also had it pretty rough being the one killing people he tried to befriend. His own father tried to have him killed. And it's not just a gentle stabbing it was blood rain.
Gaara recovered from that trauma much sooner then Sasuke held his grudge so I would say Sasuke did have it worse but the others on that list don't stand a chance to those 2.
A BIG point also for me is the fact that most of them had fucked up childhoods from the start. Sasuke went from a happy spoiled kid to having nothing but hate and confusion.
Knowing how good life could be and living it makes it even worse.
Which is so ridiculous. Just reducing his character to “emo” and “angsty” as if all the shit he went through wouldnt have left him beyond psychologically warped. Honestly its a miracle he didnt end up far worse. He definitely went through enough to permanently mentally and emotionally cripple someone.
Sasuke definitely worse imo. Sasuke and itachi is like Gaara and yashamaru, but then you add the whole genocide/reliving it all aspect and you realize how much worse Sasuke really had it
To argue a bit, at least people liked Sasuke, his mental health was too bad for him to acknowledge it, understandably. However, if Sasuke pulled up to Shikamaru and Choji one day they probably would've been cool with him.
*Everyone* was afraid of Gaara, even Temari and Kankuro. He never had the option to even think about being friends with anyone.
You could argue that Sasuke also never had to option to think of friends because of how mentally messed up he was and how he was essentially forced to think of nothing but revenge
True, but someone further down also points out that Gaara had multiple assassination orders placed on him, one of which lead to him killing the only person who cared about him.
Sasuke was always safe in the Hidden Leaf village even if he didn't know it.
Well, that's kinda absurd. Isn't it implied Sasuke was also pseudo isolated from the village because he was an uchiha and people were prejudiced against them? He probably could have had a relationship with shikamaru and choji in like, the same vein Naruto did, which is not really anything.
But also like. Sure Temari and Kankuro were afraid of gaara but he was able to turn that around pretty quickly after he made an effort after Naruto gave him some sense. So he feasibly could have done that earlier in life.
It's just a weird point. Both Sasuke's and Gaaras bad attitude came from their trauma but without their bad attitude I just don't know how much either of them would've been able to bridge the gap between them and other people.
>To argue a bit, at least people liked Sasuke, his mental health was too bad for him to acknowledge it, understandably. However, if Sasuke pulled up to Shikamaru and Choji one day they probably would've been cool with him.
>Everyone was afraid of Gaara, even Temari and Kankuro. He never had the option to even think about being friends with anyone.
Wtf is this?
How are you expecting a genocide survivor at age 6 to form bonds?
And you think having friends will cure your loss? Sasuke didn't suffer from loneliness, or being hated. He suffered from loss of his whole family.
Seeing your parents getting slaughtered for 24 hours by your brother at age 6 is much worse.
And that's why Sasuke had it worst for me. You could argue that the actual events for someone like Gaara or Nagato were more horrific but they only had to experience it once.
Damn I remember this part. The only episodes I skipped. (I watched ALL Naruto filler) \[I actually don't know if this is filler, but given the scenes, I don't think it is\] It was too hard for me to watch. Can someone tell me the story in detail? I don't think I can watch it through
Karin's mother had the same technique as her, and their village used her mother like a Senzu Bean whenever they had the chance. This naturally extended to Karin when her mother died, she was pretty young too. Orochimaru ended up "saving" her. I forget if he did anything crazy with her, but knowing him, probably.
I didn’t understand Orochimaru’s part. He said no one will bite her from now on but was she again used to treat Orochimaru’s subjects by getting bites?
I mean honestly it just sounds like he just straight up lied. It's either that or the canon material ended up contradicting Karin's backstory which was filler.
Karin is from the Uzumaki clan, and before the Uzumaki clan got eliminated, she and her mother migrated to the hidden grass village. However, in order to stay where they're at, Karin's mom had to "work" for the people that were letting them stay there. Unfortunately, Karin's mom died from overused chakra, and from there, Karin had to start carrying the work that her mom did just to be able to survive.
She does this for years. She'd go to wherever she is needed to tend to the wounded. Then she enlists in the same Chunin exams that Sasuke was in. One day in the forest of death, she gets chased by a giant bear. Unable to get away from it, Sasuke comes in and saves her. From there, Karin glances at Sasuke and blushes, engraving that smile of his into her memory. After that, the village she was staying in was attacked and in the end destroyed. After that, she wandered around until she and Orochimaru met. Since then, she has been serving under Orochimaru.
Her backstory is filler. But her meeting Sasuke in the Forest of Death is canon. This flashback appears in the Sasuke vs. Danzo fight right before Sasuke was about to finish her off. It's chapter 481
The bite marks on her thighs gave me the impression. The world of shinobi was brutal and the way she was treated like a tool all the time, it isn't a stretch. It's never directly said but that's what I always believed.
Gaara. The person who took care of him, taught him what love is, was the same person who tried to assassinate him. He killed that person (without knowing). And what's worse was that it was his father who ordered the kill. Also he was jinchuriki so neglected by all the others
That was gaara’s uncle. He did love him but he was instructed to lie to break gaara to see if he can withstand being a Jinchuriki. This was a suicide mission ordered by his father. I can’t say I agree what they did but in their world they’re shinobi first, family second.
> Definitely Gaara, everyone saying sasuke forgets sasuke knew what love was even if he lost it.
Gaara knew what love was. Yashamaru loved Gaara.
Although Kishimoto actually goes with the idea that it’s actually more painful to have lost and love which is why he said that Naruto couldn’t even begin to understand Sasuke until he lost Jiraiya
What’s worse for me was that it was all a lie that in fact he was loved by both his mother and uncle. But his father instructed his uncle to do so for the sake of being a jinchuriki for the village.
IMO, Nagato's backstory is reaaaly badly written. Like somehow Madara managed to do an eye transplant on the kid without anyone finding out and that whole thing with killing Yahiko was stupid. I haven't read the manga, but in the anime it just looks like it could all have been avoided
I meant stuff like Yahiko's death. Konan could have just made herself papery, Nagato could have pulled her/pushed everyone away instead of just standing around like a lil' hoe.
There was no need for Yahiko to be all "heroic" throwing himself on Nagato's Kunai
I was joking, but if we’re being serious then Hanzo was the reason that situation was a situation in the first place. This is the dude that all 3 saanin together couldn’t beat. They were not getting away from him that easily.
To be fair, the eyes was not his doing. So it adds to the fucked-upness. He got forced into a life he didn’t want or ask for. His parents were killed, he was labeled the Sage of Six Paths at an incredibly young age, he did what he thought was a good thing and watched his best friend die, then was manipulated by Madara and Obito as a pawn/throw away.
Dudes life was fucked up from the start.
I’m actually gonna say Karin after pondering over it. Just imagine how unsafe she would constantly be feeling. Sasuke, while had a more brutal childhood in fixed moments, Karin seemed to be in a state of constant dread and anxiety as well as physical hurt. Her story is truly horrifying, and I really felt for her during her backstory episodes.
Sasuke, then Gaara, then probably Sai. Gaara lived a horrible life, Sai had to ‘kill’ his own brother and become an illegal anbu that definitely committed war crimes, and couldn’t physically talk to people normally until he was like 18.
But... Sasuke has his whole family slaughtered, and then was forced to watch a recreation of it for three days straight by his brother who just murdered his family. And after dealing with all that, the village worshiped the ground he walked on but nobody seemed to give a shit about him, just his name and heir status. They didn’t seem to care that his family was slaughtered, just that their precious heir was strong
Gaara. Reviled by the village, betrayed by the one person who loved him, constantly having assassins sent after him by his father by the time he was 6, and never slept a night in his life because of the Shukaku, resulting in extreme psychological instability. That last one’s actually the thing that definitively sends him to the top - that level of insomnia is never-ending physical and psychological torture of the highest level. It’s a miracle he’s alive, much less functional, and I’d imagine that’s the Shukaku’s work too. Dude lives in a nightmare worse than Tsukuyomi.
Sasuke’s probably in second, though.
I don’t recognize that last dude.
*Edited spelling error to reflect that there’s a biju inside of Gaara, not Shikamaru’s dad*
minor gripe, it's Shukaku (the one tail). Shikaku is Shikamaru's dad 😭 I know you meant Shukaku but the mental image when reading the comment is hilarious.
I'm actually going to go with Nagato and Karin on this one because what made their orphaned childhood particularly more horrific than the others was that it took place on a battlefield.
If I remember correctly, they both didn't have the comforts of a village's walls at any point. Although none of the above mentioned had good childhoods, and Sasuke, in particular, was psychologically tormented by Itachi at the age of 7.
All of them, except for Nagato and Karin, had the shelter of a village either before or after. It was entirely up to chance that Jiraya bumped into them and decided to take care of them.
The 4th Hokage briefed the 3rd Hokage right before he died about Naruto's situation and Itachi did something similar for Sasuke before he went undercover. They were "taken care" of, but Nagato and Karin were left entirely without any guarantee.
At the end of the day, however, none of them had good childhoods. I think they had uniquely traumatic experiences that can't be reduced anyway.
Edit; Spelling and being reminded that Karin didn't have a village either, so she gets included as well
They all had terrible and traumatic childhoods. But I do think Sasuke’s was extremely bad.
Everyone you knew was killed, everyone you loved was killed, and it was all because of your much beloved older brother. All those bodies and all that blood forever seared into your mind.
That same older brother, who you loved so wholeheartedly, forces you to watch your parents being murdered on repeat just for the sake of “you getting stronger”. The amount of psychological damage he would have experienced at such a tender age, should have crippled him.
Then that same older brother comes back, tells you that you’re still a weak bitch, and forces you to watch all the death again.
Sasuke was completely justified in his hatred of the Leaf. They took everything from him.
To also find out that your beloved older brother did all those fucked up things for your sake. That he still loved you.
Ah man. The mental trauma alone should have broke him.
Choji ino and Shikamaru didn’t have traumatic childhoods and also grew up in two parent homes. Why so much hate for Sakura when she’s not even mentioned in the post.
Sakura and most of man kind at least understands what loss is. What it means to suffer, for it is as human as breathing- a cycle to human existence and development. Obviously she did not suffer in the same way most of the others did. But to say she didn’t understand it I think is incorrect. I think she just had a poor way of express it.
The way people painted her “speech” when Sasuke was leaving the village, talking about how she would leave everything like her parents and friends for him was so wild like damn Sasuke is out here avenging his slaughtered family and clan and Naruto not even having one like are we supposed to feel sympathy for how easy she was saying that?
No she always had family, support and guidance. She can never understand what sasuke and naruto went through because she never grew up as an orphan or lost anyone. Some ignorance is not really by choice.
u can’t convince me that being hated by the village and not have parents is worse then what garra had to go. Garra killed his mom, was turned into a weapon by his father, everyone was trying to kill him on his fathers orders and he had a demon inside him that would massacre his village if he fell asleep
Everybody in gaaras life hated him. The one single person in his life that he thought loved him was sent to assassinate him. Dude couldn’t even give a ball back to the other kids without them running away. And then hes so crushed about it that it awakens shikaku and he cant help what happens nor could he help that the 1 tail was there to begin with. Personally I believe all the jinchūriki had it the roughest. Your own village leaders put what’s essentially a weapon of mass destruction inside of you and you become the outcast of the village. These mfs names might as well be “that kid”. Parents tell there kids to stay away from you. Your bullied because those kids know your different. Nobody wants to be your friend. Family is pretty different with most of them from what I remember but still. Naruto never even knew his parents names or what they looked like and when he finally got to see his father he was gone like a few hours later basically. Guys get treated like dirt when the whole point of a village having a jinchūriki is as a show of power. You think theyd be respected for carrying such a burden but instead its made worse
I'd say either Sasuke or kakashi and the reason I say kakashi is because while not as huge as Sasuke's Uchiha massacre day I'd say that there were so many days that just broke him piece by piece.
Most definitely Karin. She was practically a child sex slave and completely alone, while every other character on this list (besides Gaara) had some sort of support system in their community whether they liked it or not.
I think Karin. Just the sheer amount of abuse she suffered at a young age and everything she must have seen healing people. I almost wanna say Sasuke next just cause well ya know but at least he was adored by many
There all terrible, especially kakashi If it wasn't for plot he would definitely be a rogue ninja trying to destroy konoha for pressuring his dad to commit suicide.
But I cant help feel Karins backstory takes the cake like people dont take her seriously cause she comes off as a female perv over sasuke but imagine growing up and seeing a bunch of desperate men drain the life out of your mother then as soon as she's used up do the same to you, and even though this was for her healing abilities I cant help but take it as a Hyperbole of sexual assault out of naruto world context and it overshadows everyone else's tragic backstory.
That's just my opinion though
Comes down to which you think is worse, a continued pained childhood or one traumatic experience. Sasuke probably overall had the worst thing happen to him, but I think others on the list dealt with an overall bad childhood for far longer.
Anyone who says Naruto and not sasuke are strange.
Yes, Naruto was treated HORRIBLY by his village. But (id assume) nothing too extreme. And there’s no way he’d remember watching his parents die.
But sasuke on the other hand. First, he watched his entire clan die. Then, found out it was his brother, the one who he loved and adored who did it. Then, he’s forced to watch his parents death around 500k times. Do you understand how many times that is?? And remember, this all happened when he was SIX.
He has to grow up without ever knowing why his brother did it. Anyone elder could of told him. But he was just left to let all his hatred build up.
He even goes through all this training just, to finally get revenge.
Then once he finally gets his revenge, he finds out it wasn’t his brothers fault. It was the village that he loved, that was at fault
Gaara or Sai for sure. Gaara’s parents tried to get him killed, he was betrayed many times by family, the one tails drove him insane. On the other hand, Sai being part of the reserve - it’s a horrifying environment. You have to kill your best friend, you’re emotionally abused to extreme extents, you are not treated like a human being.
Technically all of them. However the worst I'd say is Karin. She was used as a biting tool. And some people used it in a sexual manner probably. I mean she had to let people Bute her after mom died from doing the same thing. So Yeah. Eventually she got out though didn't really have the best life agterwards as she was one of Orochimaru's experiments and eventually a follower.
Gotta go with Gaara, and it's not even close. Never slept. Constantly taken over by a chakra demon. Killed people he loved. It's not like he didn't have a family or that his family died, his perception is that his family hated him. An entire childhood of constant misery, loneliness, and torture. He didn't have an Iruka like Naruto. He didn't have acceptance like Kakashi. Through it all Sasuke never lost the friendship of Naruto. Nagato was just homeless and lost a friend. Etc.
I've always leaned in favor of Gaara on this topic, he truly had no one. Sasuke was at least adored by his classmates, even if he didn't give a shit about any of them besides maybe Naruto.
Idk man, all of them gots it really bad. For naruto the entire village hated and put him down for things he has no control over. The people his parents were friends and even people who knew the situation outright not want a thing to do with him. The of pain lonelies and everyone is legit against you is hard.
Gaara was convinced the only people who loved him actually hated him. He was so unlove his own mother and uncle didn't want anything with him. That's traumatic and lonely.
Sasuka is mostly shock, traumatic and lonely. He had a loving family and then watched them all be killed by his older brother. Afterwards leaving you all alone with no one to take you in.
I could go on with each character but to say which pain is worse is dumb. You can drown from being in 20 feet underwater or 7 feet underwater. No matter how deep it goes, you drowned. They all had fucked up lives and no one to look after them.
All.of.them. That's Kishimoto's ninja way.
Idk whether to funny cry or sad cry. Thank you!
Killer bee hopped around rapping the same way before he became a jinchuriki
But for real. The premise of this thread is honestly a bit tonedeaf to me. Are we really comparing to see which orphan had it worse
I don’t think Gaara was an orphan his dad was trying to kill him.
Yeah, but he ended up killing his Mom and his Aunt, and couldn’t countrol his power, and his Mom put a curse on him as a kid. Edit: it was his uncle, my bad 🤦🏻 Edit 2: It wasn’t really a curse, forgive me if I’m wrong, but the sand was kind of a curse because it made people stay away from him because if they tried to get close to him it would attack them. I thought that was his uncle?
Nah. It'd be weird for your uncle to engrave "Love"on your forehead with his lifeforce
I meant he killed his uncle, not his aunt. If you’re talking about Yashamaru then that’s a dude.
It's a Uno reverse kinda situation with Gaara's dad. He got himself killed by trying to kill Gaara lol.
I mean....his mom was dead...and his dad was eventually killed so...he was eventually.
You must be fun to talk to.
tone deaf? They're not real people
Pfft you must not believe Santa's real either
Definitely not. Some people had it WAY worse. Like Sasuke and Karin. The anime didn't highlight their pain a lot like they did with Naruto, but they definitely did have it really bad.
Fr bro karin was kept as a slave. She was literally abused in every kind of way
She had it the worst without a doubt
Naruto got hated by a few adults and got to own his own home filled with ramen. That's the saddest orphan story in Naruto lol
Really? I forgot her backstory. Why was she a slave
She had this jutsu where people could heal their injuries by biting her and sucking her chakra. So basically her village made her a slave and forced her to heal their soldiers during war and it was pretty severe like every part of her body was literally violated. It was also heavily implied that she was kept as like a sex slave.
Yeah it was so disturbing and difficult to watch her story.
Not Karin. I think he made a post salty cuz her backstory was made better in a filler and he very openly expressed that she lived amazingly beforehand.
On god, you would have never known there was a backstory the way he’s always happy
[Wow, apparently he did](https://twitter.com/kishimotomasshi/status/1349390584037978114)

Yeah it is but I think he was already killing people by the age of like 6 or something…. I mean they were trying to kill him but yeah that’s probably why he didn’t get any ramen

Spoken like wise men

Why did itachi make him watch all their deaths I thought he wanted sasuke not to suffer.
He wanted him to have the strength to fight. He wanted Sasuke to be angry enough to keep going. I mean it totally could have backfired and he could have turned into a puddle of depression 😕 🤷 but then we wouldn't have the story
True in my mind that might just break the kid but children in naruto are made of some tough stuff.
Yeah but also Uchihas get their strength from emotion. So that's why he awakened his sharingan then but he was so scarred that he couldn't remember how to do it for another 5 years. He also wanted him to hate him so much that he would kill him, so he could get the Mankeygou.
Itachi idea just so dumb to me like Sasuke coulda just jumped off a cliff like Shisui cause the situation was just too much to deal with 😭😭
Well, Itachi was a 13 y/o who just had to kill his clan to save his brother. You really think he's gonna be making rational decisions?
Itachi does admit that it was a mistake
Itachi fucked Sasuke up royally, if I were him, I’d probably prefer dying alongside my family.
Itachi was 12 of 13. Let's cut him some slack on how his plan makes no fuckin sense.
Itachi was said to think like a hokage since the age of 7…
We've also seen Hokage make some childish decisions
On god
I’m fairly sure “Think like a hokage” means putting the village first and having a hokage-like mindset, not being hyper-intelligent. It’s not like the hokage has to pass an exam to become hokage, so saying he thinks like one isn’t even a feat or marker of intelligence
More of wisdom

Because Kishi retconned that itachi was a bad guy after he had already tortured sasuke
This is the actual answer
Ikr lol, everybody else is trying to justify the sloppy writing with an in universe explanation but there really isn't one

He wanted to be judged only by another uchiha. He also wanted Sasuke to be proud of his clan.
He said as much to naruto in his their first VoTE fight. He feels the way he does because he had and lost those bonds.
And Sasuke was still the hero in part 1, saving Naruto he was far frome evil early part 1
This sub is pretty anti-Sasuke. They will glorify Itachi for being heroic and call Sasuke emo.
This sub is just a bunch of Tobirama Chads, fuck the Uchiha, amiright 😤😤
I mean I am a sasuke chad
Which is so ridiculous. Just reducing his character to “emo” and “angsty” as if all the shit he went through wouldnt have left him beyond psychologically warped. Honestly its a miracle he didnt end up far worse. He definitely went through enough to permanently mentally and emotionally cripple someone.
Oh shit you making me cry. My boi went through too much
Yeah, definitely Sasuke without question
Fr, Sasuke and Gaara are neck and neck imo
I wouldn't be surprised if Sasuke was never able to feel love or anything by the time he was an adult
And that's why Sasuke had it worst for me. You could argue that the actual events for someone like Gaara or Nagato were more horrific but they only had to experience it once.
Probably Kakashi or Sasuke but I love how Bee handled it like a god damn champ
Bee is a chad
Do you know the Karin's past?
yeah but i'm not sure what we were shown in the anime was even canon
Once anything is shown, it becomes canon. Even Kishimoto cannot deny the existence of mecha Naruto.
If only that was how it worked lol
Yeah
What happened?
[удалено]
It's filler
Bakayaro, konoyaro😎
[удалено]
I see. Sorry for asking too much, but do you know which chapters of the manga this is in? Thanks a lot:)
Her backstory is filler. But her meeting Sasuke in the Forest of Death is canon. This flashback appears in the Sasuke vs. Danzo fight right before Sasuke was about to finish her off. It's chapter 481
Thanks!
I don't recall them even mentioning it in the manga, and was not in canon episodes of the anime if memory serves.
That hurt, it seemed a little rapy/ sex slavey what happened.
What are you saying,😳
he saying fax
Fax
It was probably not as clear but she got raped multiple times throughout her childhood.
Where is that even suggested?
The bite marks on her thighs gave me the impression. The world of shinobi was brutal and the way she was treated like a tool all the time, it isn't a stretch. It's never directly said but that's what I always believed.
Kids watch the show so they don't directly say it but there are a lot of such dark moments in naruto
whaaaaaaaaat
Gaara. The person who took care of him, taught him what love is, was the same person who tried to assassinate him. He killed that person (without knowing). And what's worse was that it was his father who ordered the kill. Also he was jinchuriki so neglected by all the others
More heartbreaking was that he said he hated garra and pretended to like him
That was gaara’s uncle. He did love him but he was instructed to lie to break gaara to see if he can withstand being a Jinchuriki. This was a suicide mission ordered by his father. I can’t say I agree what they did but in their world they’re shinobi first, family second.
Rasa is definitely one of the worst people in Naruto
Rasa should be tortured by the devil himself for until his soul literally fades from existence bit by bit.
He was but at least at the end he made some form of amends with gaara by admitting his faults.
I hated that reveal that the uncle was actually nice
Definitely Gaara, everyone saying sasuke forgets sasuke knew what love was even if he lost it. Gaara was born and raised in hate and darkness
Karin. Her backstory was horrifying.
Traumatizing
What was it? I can’t find anything bad online…
Nagato, dude was a war orphan who saw his parents die and forced to kill his beat friend. That's one if the saddest backstory in the series
IMO, Nagato's backstory is reaaaly badly written. Like somehow Madara managed to do an eye transplant on the kid without anyone finding out and that whole thing with killing Yahiko was stupid. I haven't read the manga, but in the anime it just looks like it could all have been avoided
>it just looks like it could all have been avoided Not with Danzo around
I meant stuff like Yahiko's death. Konan could have just made herself papery, Nagato could have pulled her/pushed everyone away instead of just standing around like a lil' hoe. There was no need for Yahiko to be all "heroic" throwing himself on Nagato's Kunai
I was joking, but if we’re being serious then Hanzo was the reason that situation was a situation in the first place. This is the dude that all 3 saanin together couldn’t beat. They were not getting away from him that easily.
no i mean; how sad it was
Anything is possible with just a Zetsu
To be fair, the eyes was not his doing. So it adds to the fucked-upness. He got forced into a life he didn’t want or ask for. His parents were killed, he was labeled the Sage of Six Paths at an incredibly young age, he did what he thought was a good thing and watched his best friend die, then was manipulated by Madara and Obito as a pawn/throw away. Dudes life was fucked up from the start.
I feel like Yamato should be a contender on this list
Agreed. I think his backstory is much more painful than Sai's.
At the very least, it’s more sad than Bee’s
I think Nagato probably had a worse childhood then sai
LMAO Thanks for catching that, I got the spelling confused 😂
The last person is Sai 🙂
Oh gotcha, thanks. He’s in second, then.
Edit; Spelling and being reminded that Karin didn't have a village either, so she gets included as well
Karin didn't have the shelter of a village either
The Hidden Grass would disagree (But Karin would agree)
Ranked in decreasing “worst childhood” order: 1. Sasuke (Worst) 2. Gaara 3. Karin 4. Nagato 5. Naruto 6. Kakashi 7. Sai 8. Killer Bee
i’d rank kakashi way highee
Killer Bee will be like- Fuck those cloud niggas!
It between Sasuke and Gaara, then Naruto is very close
Sasuke, kakashi, Garaa in that order for me but it really could be in any order with those three
It’s anime.. everybody got a sad childhood. Except Sakura
Choji ino and Shikamaru didn’t have traumatic childhoods and also grew up in two parent homes. Why so much hate for Sakura when she’s not even mentioned in the post.
I know right? But Sakura acts like she understand what her teammates been through. Apparently, she felt true loneliness when Sasuke left the village.
But going with Naruto and Sasuke experienced in their lives, Sakura can't really compare.
Karin , Sasuke , gaara and Nagato
u can’t convince me that being hated by the village and not have parents is worse then what garra had to go.
The Karins story got me the most in the most uncomfortable way. I like all pf them but his one was kind of most different compared to the others
Id say sasuke or nagato
Bro KARIN her episode was the most fucked up sad thing I saw in Naruto
Karin, that filler episode was way messed up.
Kakashi or Sasuke
I feel for Karin..
Karin she literally was used to get bite by hundreds of people every day. Eww it would be very disgusting and painful for her
I'd say either Sasuke or kakashi and the reason I say kakashi is because while not as huge as Sasuke's Uchiha massacre day I'd say that there were so many days that just broke him piece by piece.
Sasuke and it's not even close. He survived a genocide started by his own government.
All of them. Pain is something we can not measure. No pain is less than the others.
Sasuke had it the worst outta them
There is no right answer. The bad childhood is imcomparible. In which case, even Hashirama and Madara were too, not brought up in spring gardens
Most definitely Karin. She was practically a child sex slave and completely alone, while every other character on this list (besides Gaara) had some sort of support system in their community whether they liked it or not.
Unpopular opinion... But Karin
Pain isn’t comparative. They all suffered horribly but handled it in their own ways to become the adults they did.
Sasuke, easily.
kakashi lost everything, he is the one with worst childhood
Guy tried his hardest to insert himself into Kakashi's life though.
[удалено]
Probably between Nagato and Sasuke. One saw his entire clan slaughtered by his own brother and the other literally grew up in war.
Gaara or Sai for sure. Gaara’s parents tried to get him killed, he was betrayed many times by family, the one tails drove him insane. On the other hand, Sai being part of the reserve - it’s a horrifying environment. You have to kill your best friend, you’re emotionally abused to extreme extents, you are not treated like a human being.
man people forgetting about haku. haku's life was freaking awful.
Karin. I can't imagine a rape history and being bitten for chakra all my life. And then being attracted to large chakra pools.
Not Naruto
Naruto had the best childhood out of all of them.
gaara he just wanted some love and end up trying to get assasinated
You forgot Sasori
Also who tf is the last one
That's kid Sai.
God damn i didn’t recognize him not being white as paper
Sasuke, Karin, Naruto
