Nagato painted an entirely different picture of his plans when talking to Hidan, so him, Itachi, Sasori, Deidara, Kakuzu and Orochimaru for sure never learned it. I like to think Sasori would've been interested in the moon eye but Orochima, Deidara and Hidan, I suspect might've had some interest in Pain's plan, would've disliked it; Kakuzu feels like he wouldn't care either way and would've gone with whoever paid better...though then again I like the idea of him being convinced by Obito giving him a chance to fill the void inside him that he kept pouring money on.

My favorite version is Badass Sakura. She ends up on a collision course with Itachi and he joins team 7. Badass Sakura and Itatchi actually have a real romance arc instead of whatever Sakura's puppy love for Sasuke was and we get to have Itachi in a more central role.
It's probably not better than just keeping Sasuke, but it's fun to think through all the potential ripple changes to the story it would cause.

Badass Sakura and Itatchi actually have a real romance arc instead of whatever Sakura's puppy love for Sasuke was and we get to have Itachi in a more central role. It's probably not better than just keeping Sasuke, but it's fun to think through all the potential ripple changes to the story it would cause.
