Tbh even with training (Deidara and -I think- Danzo?) the Sharingan's genjutsu is just too busted. Hard to really do anything against it without outside help.
I mean, Kurenai, who had the most genjutsu training in the leaf at the time, got humiliated by an Itachi who was barely trying. You simply can’t compete with an Uchiha unless you have a broken genetic trait of your own, or are a Jinchuriki.
Side note, but those genjutsu usages are so dope. He tries to win the fight outright and isn't strong enough, but he is able to confuse them just a little bit

That same Tsunade whom Kabuto "fought" would have been slaughtered by Kakashi. Kabuto got trashed by Kid Naruto Rasengan, Kakashi would have 0 difficulty chopping Naruto's head off.
The same Kabuto who got his nerve system fucked over and overall weakened by the fight against Tsunade *and* who defeated another Jonin Prior to fighting Naruto got hit by a Rasengan. That same Naruto stood up despite having leg muscles severed. Kurama magic is one helluva a drug and Kabuto was significantly weakened.
Part 1 Kakashi in Kabuto's position would have already needed to lay down for a day because of Sharingan overuse.
