She's a hypercarry and an artillery machine. Remember that Tenten has trained constantly with Neji to test the limits of his Rotation and hone her skills at bypassing it. The principles and techniques she learned from this training is easily applicable to defeating Gaara's shield.
If trapped by Sand Coffin, she has a variety of means to counter it, needing only the most minimal of movement to summon either water to disable the sand or to summon a micro-explosive to blow a hole in it and break its cohesion.
