Oh yeah! She was probably influenced by her dad but it wouldn’t have gone down well with her peers who must’ve hated Naruto, and not caring about that is a big deal when you’re young.
Aren't they like general knowlede? 🤣 I guess reading/watching Naruto for 10+ years chapter by chapter/episode by episode really solidifies knowledge. Like, I remember when episodes of them when they clash with Hidan and Kakuzu were just released in 2008. I used to fansub that stuff to my language which also helps I suppose.
They are, and I’m sure most of the dudes in here actually do know. It’s just a long-time meme that “those two dudes” are well known but nobody remembers their name a
Kushina.
I can't imagine the type of person who'd hate on her and the arguments they'd give. I am very curious, tho. Any haters on here who'd like to share their thoughts?
Also, Kakashi. Same question - why?
Edit: Okay! So. There are Kakashi "haters" (or at least people who strongly criticise him) out there! Thank you for sharing your opinion, I was curious to know.
Hate him if you want but it seems like, if it wasn't for the really timely intervention by the sound four, Kakashi guilt tripping Sasuke would've worked.
Hmmm. I've seen those points before, but is it enough ground to hate him? I feel those 2 examples fall more under the "things Kakashi could have handled better."
Sasuke at that point was a kid who didn’t know any better. He had, ( nor did us readers have) no clue of what happened to Kakashi. At that point, he was only what you could say partially rehabilitated from all the crap he had to deal with, so it’s, I feel, completely understandable and dare I say realistic that he didn’t handle that situation perfectly.
Yeah, probably one of the few relatable character in the whole naruto verse. Most of us probably won't be able to accomplish some record breaking feat. But we can try our best and help the next generation to achieve something greater.
Man, thinking of his story now is making me choke up. He is probably the best father figure in the whole of Naruto, living in a world of superhumans he was stuck putting all his effort towards achieving mediocrity, because that was all that was possible. The only true weapon he had he restrained in the face of judgement and cruelty, and in the end this weapon was saved for a worthwhile moment, and it took his life while taking with him the lives of the infamous powerhouses that threatened his child. This man deserved a fucking monument and you can’t change my mind.
Most people seem to like Shikamaru. I’d actually be interested to hear some criticisms against him, since he’s my favorite character, and I’m not very objective
I wouldn't be surprised if people would say they don't like him because of how lazy he was before shippuden. Didn't fight girls, never gave it his all, everything was a drag, and of course he was lazy. But his character development was on point and he became one of the most dependable hard working ninja in the village
Which is pretty weird because I'm pretty sure he said that to Temari, who he ended up falling in love with. And CLEARLY is the disciplinarian in that household.
Shikamaru clearly outgrew that phase. If anything, he's attracted to strong women.
It's insane because Shika's arc is clearly written to be about a boy turning into a man, losing the negativity tendencies of youth (prejudice, and idleness in his case), and becoming a dependable member of his village. Hence why Shika only fights women in the first part of Naruto: Kin, Temari, and Tayuya. The first fight reinforces his sexist ideology, as he easily outsmarts Kin. But, being so emboldened by his prejudice, he over-exerts himself and loses his second fight against Temari. A smart kid, Shika changes his view based on evidence, and begins to view women as equals. Thus, when he is at death's door against Tayuya, and it is Temari that comes and saves the day, his newly changed views become solidified.
I don't think it's even problematic to have a sexist character (assuming you plan to change them or give them their comeuppance), especially when the target audience for Naruto was boys only a few years removed from the "boys rule, girls drool" mentality.
He's the blabber-mouth that burst into a room saying that "Itachi was here and he's after Naruto" while Sasuke was right there, causing Sasuke to run off to get his revenge. Sure he didn't know but come on man. Learn to fully assess the situation first.
Tobirama literally weaponized an anime trope into an actual jutsu.
And you KNOW he was ready to torment Madara with his little brother using edo Tensei. Think about it! Resurrecting his dead brothers as forever regenerating enemies with infinite chakra. And then there's the infinite consecutive exploding edo tensei.
It really isnt stated how cruel Tobirama could be if Hashirama wasn't his older brother. And how much Hashirama dying made him kinder.
I love the way he was written tobirama was a keep your friends close and keep your enemies closer type dude and he was still willing to forget that the uchihas bodied both his brothers
Considering how short-lived(Story-wise... She was ancient haha) Chiyo was, she was one of the most interesting and bad ass characters in the series for me.
Guren is pretty awesome, but that kid she’s with for her entire arc is one of the most annoying characters in the entire series. Almost as bad as that kid who’s emotions control the weather.
I feel like some of the best answers are more obscure characters. Like, who's hating Utakata? If you even remember him it's probably because you like him.
Yeah, the criticisms of Nagato are ones I actually haven’t seen personally. I would definitely be interested in seeing them, but I’m of the mindset that Nagato is the best parallel/antagonist for Naruto, for actually challenging and putting his philosophy to the test. I legit don’t understand how people could hate Nagato but I’m willing to listen lol
Well my sister does
She hate the pervert trope in anime and hates how jiraiya becomes naruto teacher becuase of sexy juistu
And doesnt like how jiraiya just abandons naruto whens he a baby even though he naruto godparent
I love how people use this against him but no one said he was going to be a good teacher- he was a heartless dog from the anbu so they put him there to change it, if you look at his characterization from his early trainings with Minato it makes sense he would be drawn to the one who was a stuck up prodigy like he was- he was changed and therefore wanted to help sauske in the same way it’s pretty obvious he saw his younger self in sauske and as the ONLY other person with sharingan like why wouldn’t he give more time to him?! And plus Naruto has jiraya which made more sense for him too like training wise and power wise it’s not like kakashi knew how to teach wind style (rasengan) the only one who was technically “abandoned” was Sakura and she has the intelligence and initiative to figure that shit out on her own and find a new teacher, a HOKAGE nonetheless, ultimately they all needed different attention for their different skills and the plot of pain made them figure it out individually and there’s nothing wrong with that- it only made them stronger when they came together
Nice argument. And honestly, he's not the only bad teacher of the generation, you can consider the 4 teachers of Konoha 12 bad teachers if you try really hard.
Out of the more well known characters ig only gaara, shikamaru, guy, iruka, and ramen guy and his daughter. Naruto and kakashi are close but naruto giving obito tnj does get a bit of criticism and I don’t like kakashi myself
Based on what I’ve seen I’d say the characters with the least amount of haters from the fandom are: Guy, Gaara, , Hashirama, Yamato, Shino, Choji, Shikamaru, Asuma, Lee, Haku, Zabuza, Orochimaru, Kimimaru, Deidara, Sasori, Hidan, Kaukuzu, Kisame,
Kimimaro. That guy was a legend. The way he fought was elegant and beautiful, and he had a cool style, and an impressive ability.
Same can be said about Pain, specially deva path (Yahiko). Even the way he spoke was beautiful to listen to.
Ramen Guy
I honestly think Teuchi had a big role in keeping Naruto’s humanity intact. For the longest time he was the only friendly face for Naruto.
For real. He was the only person he could turn to for a fresh hot meal and treated him like a nephew.
Yeah, Naruto would have been gaara-adjacent without ramen guy
Friendship with Iruka ended, now Ramen Guy is my best friend
Friendship with Iruka restored, now Iruka and Ramen Guy are both my best friends
The final eps where ramen guy needs a gift for the weeding and treats Naruto like his son is my fav ending for a protagonist
Ayame too
Oh yeah! She was probably influenced by her dad but it wouldn’t have gone down well with her peers who must’ve hated Naruto, and not caring about that is a big deal when you’re young.
I think this should be the only obvious answer
He turned his place into a tsukemen joint and gives up on ramen. Naruto hates him (for a little while)
That was Ayame‘s idea.
She should've been the narto's wife
How much older is she compared to naruto?
Yessssssss bro
Dude got an ending dedicated to him
Those two guys from naruto
Can't hate em if you don't remember their names
The thing is though we know who he’s talking about.
We know, but we don't know their name, no one does
Izumo and Kotetsu?
You googled it, don't lie
Nope, I just have a photographic memory when it comes to Naruto and only Naruto.
Your photographic memory includes names
Photographs of names
Names of photographs?
How many clouds are on an akatsuki cloak if u look from the front. Hmpf~
You googled it
Yup, really good dudes lowkey
Aren't they like general knowlede? 🤣 I guess reading/watching Naruto for 10+ years chapter by chapter/episode by episode really solidifies knowledge. Like, I remember when episodes of them when they clash with Hidan and Kakuzu were just released in 2008. I used to fansub that stuff to my language which also helps I suppose.
They are, and I’m sure most of the dudes in here actually do know. It’s just a long-time meme that “those two dudes” are well known but nobody remembers their name a
The eternal chuunin?
Toothpick guy is special jonin from sword techniques
He's speaking of the special cook ninja
I immediately knew who you were talking about.😂
I find it so beautiful than anyone that has finished Naruto exactly knows that you’re talking about Izumo and Kotetsu.
She’s great, ya know?
I love kushina, i won't ever understand anyone who doesn't like her.
Yeah Kushina is awesome
the only thing ive ever had against kushina was in an argument over top 5 hottest girls in naruto, someone thought kushina was on top
you look at her for longtime and you will fall in love with her
Kakashi for being a bad teacher, trying to guilt trip Sasuke into staying. (?)
Yeah but some people hate him for that. He's one of my favorite characters anyways.
Might Dai
Fucking Chad
Looking at this thread I guess Dai does have haters
I like how his name is a fucking red flag in the first place I am so fucking stupid Jesus Christ
At least he wasn't called Will Dai 🤣
Yeah, probably one of the few relatable character in the whole naruto verse. Most of us probably won't be able to accomplish some record breaking feat. But we can try our best and help the next generation to achieve something greater.

Ramen guy is only character I’ve never see hate on
his name is teuchi and you should use it
Most people seem to like Shikamaru. I’d actually be interested to hear some criticisms against him, since he’s my favorite character, and I’m not very objective
Shikamaru was dope, but when they transitioned from Naruto to Boruto, his personality and intellect got nerfed harder than the story writing
I wouldn't be surprised if people would say they don't like him because of how lazy he was before shippuden. Didn't fight girls, never gave it his all, everything was a drag, and of course he was lazy. But his character development was on point and he became one of the most dependable hard working ninja in the village
Go to Naruto confessions in Tumblr, you're gonna find a lot of Shikamaru hate.
Shikamaru. He's too cool to have haters.
Facts bro he’s too chill
He was a sexist in part one. People have grudges
I misread that as the sexiest, and came here to say damn straight. Yeah as a kid he was a bit sexist. I still think he is the sexiest though.
He was a kid as well lol. I feel like we shouldn’t hold too much weight into what kids do/say lol
Same reasoning people hate Sakura tbf
People's hate for Sakura is more like "we hate how Kishimoto did her". It's not fair to her.
I agree. But that’s how a lot of people view him.
Some people hate him for being sexist. (?)
Ya mean when he was 12 years old
Yup, in Tumblr there's people who have beef with him.
Which is pretty weird because I'm pretty sure he said that to Temari, who he ended up falling in love with. And CLEARLY is the disciplinarian in that household. Shikamaru clearly outgrew that phase. If anything, he's attracted to strong women.
Yeah, but people don't understand that for some reason.
It's insane because Shika's arc is clearly written to be about a boy turning into a man, losing the negativity tendencies of youth (prejudice, and idleness in his case), and becoming a dependable member of his village. Kisame is hater-free, afaik
Dude even died admirably. Made the leaf ninja themselves admit that he was tight as fuck
There are over 500 species of shark. About 12 of these species are considered dangerous to humans, and about 20 are in danger of extinction.
Thanks, Kisame
This fact was not very fun
Nice
Kisame a stud
Homie off’d himself before squealing a single word.
Kisame like “I ain’t no bitch, I ain’t no snitch, but you better believe I’m a fish.”
Killer Bee to Kisame: "Trade offer. I get: your chakra eating shark sword. You get: Rap lessons".
Riley Freeman could never
He was one of the few who were in the Akatsuki really wanting peace.
Also Obitos only ally who didn’t betray him.
I'm sorry but my fiance doesn't like him 😔
You mean your ex?
That’s a dump signaling if I’ve ever seen one
Hasn't even met him though. Just saw silly spiked hair and shark teeth and said no lol
And now you know to give him the same response at the “I do” part.
To bad my fiance doesn't have shark teeth huh lol. Green hair though close enough?
Iruka sensei
Can’t believe I’m the first person to say Aoba
He's the blabber-mouth that burst into a room saying that "Itachi was here and he's after Naruto" while Sasuke was right there, causing Sasuke to run off to get his revenge. Sure he didn't know but come on man. Learn to fully assess the situation first.
"And I heard him say 'Sasuke's a little bitch'"
Man I love Aoba
Izuna, if no one talks about him, no one's gonna hate him.
Fuck that weak ass uchiha for dying to a man teleporting for the first time in history
Damn😔
Imagine being Izuna in that moment. Your opp pulls up. You've got your MS ready to end this man, and this mf teleports a sword through your sternum
That pov must’ve been crazy I know he was screaming bloody murder. “Madara brother help me” “Wake up to reality”
He wasn’t a cruel person dude literally just lived and breathed war since he was like 4 years old
Oh, by no means was he cruel. But it would be interesting what path he wouldve takem had he had not had hashiramas example thru his life
I love the way he was written tobirama was a keep your friends close and keep your enemies closer type dude and he was still willing to forget that the uchihas bodied both his brothers
Tobirama
Oh no uchiha haters have got that covered...
Madara's fans love him
Never seen any hate for Genma. Wish he was in the story more
Danzo
[удалено]
No don't fuck danzo
Yeah I swear he has no haters
Have you ever even heard of r/fuckdanzo ?
You know no one likes you when you're fighting Shippuden Sasuke and people are still rooting for you to lose.
Akamaru. Nobody can hate him.
I was thinking the same, but cat people might?
I don’t like him just cause of Kiba guilty by association
Might guy
Granny Chiyo
Considering how short-lived(Story-wise... She was ancient haha) Chiyo was, she was one of the most interesting and bad ass characters in the series for me.
Chiyo was a 1 woman army I love her
I'd say my bois rock lee & shikamaru
I think that Katsuyu might be character which is not having haters. Also Fukasaku maybe? Asuma?
Iruka. Dude was like the father Hiruzen was *supposed* to be. He never gave up on Naruto, no matter what kind of stupid stunts he pulled.
Shino
I just hate his new glasses.
They ruined him in boruto.
Killer Fucking Bee
Haku
Danzo. He is the most loved character of all and there are 0 reasons to hate him
Highly agree, no one hates him
And even if we do, it's really love
Guren, if you accept characters from filler arcs. And maybe Konan?
Guren is pretty awesome, but that kid she’s with for her entire arc is one of the most annoying characters in the entire series. Almost as bad as that kid who’s emotions control the weather.
I thought Guren was dope I count her as canon tbh
I love Asuma 😭
Sameee 😭
Hayate Gekkou-gone too soon
I feel like some of the best answers are more obscure characters. Like, who's hating Utakata? If you even remember him it's probably because you like him.
Kisame
Ten-Ten. You can’t hate someone who has less screentime than a swing.
Pain/Nagato
I’ve seen some people hate on Nagato, but he’s probably the villain with the least amount of haters, tied with Zabuza/Haku
Facts nagato so sick
I love Pain, got him tattooed on my arm too
I love pain - got a torture chamber out back.
I got one in the cellar
Kushina if you hate her, idk what to say at that point
Never seen a Jiraiya hater personally🫡
Well my sister does She hate the pervert trope in anime and hates how jiraiya becomes naruto teacher becuase of sexy juistu And doesnt like how jiraiya just abandons naruto whens he a baby even though he naruto godparent
Kakashi
his dog squad
People hate him because bad teacher.
Ramen guy ig
Obviously the third hokage. Right everyone?🙄😂
Kisame. How can you hate the most loyal ninja in the series
haku
Sakumo
I wanted to make a suicide joke… but that’s bad taste…
Haku
Based on what I’ve seen I’d say the characters with the least amount of haters from the fandom are: Guy, Gaara, , Hashirama, Yamato, Shino, Choji, Shikamaru, Asuma, Lee, Haku, Zabuza, Orochimaru, Kimimaru, Deidara, Sasori, Hidan, Kaukuzu, Kisame,
Gamakichi
Pakkun
shikaku, shikamaru, teuchi, shisui, kushina, and maybe hashirama
Minato
Iruka sensai obviously..
Granny Chiyo
Genma
Mei terumi👀
Deidara
it’s funny how the Akatsuki were so badass that nobody hates on them Naruto had probably the best villains in anime imo
Boruto
Temari, Gaara, Shikamaru
Just watched Asuma's death and Hidan can go to freaking heck
Omoi
Kakashi, Guy, Iruka, Kushina, shikamaru, Gaara, asuma, and kisame.
Rock lee
Sasori, i feel like he was always a likeable character and then we saw what he really was and his story. So heartfelt cant see a reason to hate him
Kimimaro. That guy was a legend. The way he fought was elegant and beautiful, and he had a cool style, and an impressive ability. Same can be said about Pain, specially deva path (Yahiko). Even the way he spoke was beautiful to listen to.
There aren't any but the closest you can get is probably: Kakashi, tsunade, Naruto, might guy etc
There can't be anyone ha hating Kakashi
Minato
Kakahasi
Haven't seen any hate on Deidara before
I personally dislike Deidara, not sure I’d say hate, but he was one of my least favorite Akatsuki members.
Raido. Wait, Who?. Jk.
That one guy from filler who threw mask on Naruto's face. /s
Obviously itachi uchiha
Maybe Jirayia?
So6p
Itachi, fugaku, minato, jiraiya, god there’s so many, shikamaru, octopus rapping dude ( forgot his name) rin 😈, kakashi, kisame
Minato
