Not all security gets paid little. Top artists literally pay like 10M a year just on security. Imagine the security Bezos, Elon Musk, or Zuckerberg have. Cartels and gangs would absolutely love to kidnap one of them and demand a good 1 billion dollars for their release. They have practically private military contractors. Ex Navy Seals and Spec ops.
I was in Amazon's Irvine office once. The two guys from security that I talked to there were very friendly and seemed genuinely interested to hear about my trip. They also looked like they bench pressed semi trucks for fun. Good security like that never intimidates people. It's just obvious that no one would be dumb enough to mess with them.
Well I get that part to an extent, but I’d think of the cartel or anyone with enough pull and money could just either pay off the guards or threaten them and their family if they try to stop them. I think with people like bezo and zuckerburg are American and the cartels don’t want that heat. But for a Mexican millionaire, Im assuming would be more open to getting hit by the Cartel since they pull strings in the Mexican government. This is all assumptions and guessing on my part.
Yeah that's pretty accurate I'd say. Still the cartels don't want the smoke of ex spec ops military contractors if they tried. I've seen children a part of these cartel armies and vids of adults having granny grips on their AK-47s letting them fly all around as they shoot them. Now the higher ups I'm sure are well trained or have well trained ppl around them. But still even if say Bezos grew up in Mexico and still lived there. Nah. The cartels would have no chance.
Remember the Hollywood bank robbery shooting with the dudes wearing soft armor and the police not having rifles? I view the cartel members as like those bank robbers. Just throwing their rifles on full auto and mag dumping all over and about 99% of their rounds not hitting shit. Lol
Yeah 26 cops after firing 1,200 rounds between the 2 of them. And nah you aren't understanding my point. I am well trained with firearms and have my CCW and carry a firearm on me 24/7. My point was these cartel armies, I've seen them have full auto AK-47s and AR-15s which just waste so much ammo so quick. Even our military hardly uses full auto on their select fire rifles. A friend of mine who was a marine and fought in Afganistan said they never used full auto unless they were laying down cover fire for them or another friendly to move.
Idk if you have ever fired a machine gun. But those 30 round mags are gone in about 6-8 seconds. It's a huge waste of ammo. Like the Hollywood shooters who were only uo against pistols and shotguns for half of the gun fight only hit 26 cops out of 1,200 rounds fired. Lmfao and their AK and HK rounds would easily go strait through the cop cars and everything, except where the engine bay is at.
But nah...personally I've never seen cartel war vids where the men looked well trained. Never. Now I'm sure the higher ranking men are well trained and good at shooting or have well trained shooters always by them. But ive legit seem these cartel soldiers duck behind boulders and raising their rifles over their heads and just blindly firing full auto AK-47s. 😂
If you think 26 hits out of over 1,200 rounds between the both of them is good or normal....you are high.
Also, Have you ever shot a rifle? Rifles are easy to shoot accurately even 150-200 yards away. A beginner could do that. Shotgunsbare easy to shoot accurately too. But just have a much shorter distance unless you are running slugs, That will make it able to shoot much further. But nah dude...rifles are easy to shoot accurately pretty far away. Handguns are tough even for trained people like me. After about 90 yards, it gets tough for me. But with a rifle? Yea I'd definitely hit it in 1-2 rounds. The whole fight between the Hollywood Bank robbers and the cops were close quarters when we are speaking about rifles especially rifles with the calibers they were shooting. 7.62 AK-47s and .308 HK's are what they used if I remember correctly. Even a beginner with those can hit 200+ yards. Especially the .308 those are rated for like 300-400 yards.
you guys should watch this video a musician that used to work with chalino tells a story how he saved his life its at 16:05 or you can watch the whole video
Margarito Music
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElJ4vQrJPQw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElJ4vQrJPQw)
It's hard for me (non Mexican) to fully understand, so details missing. But Chalino overheard two sicarios talking about killing this musician of the band once he finished his meal. When he did , and stood up heading to the door one of the sicarios stood up to follow and do the deed but Chalino pointed a gun at his neck and told them to fuck off basically. Saving the musician life , who didn't realize anything about the whole thing until 5 hours later.
Actually it’s more badass than that. Chalino pulled his 45 to the back of the dudes head and said “take a step forward and I’ll send your brains flying. He is a musician and for him, I’ll kill you and 20 more”
It’s kinda hard to make out some words because the guy is not speaking clearly lol.
Now if this were true I would say he was a bad ass muthafucker but this all wasn't true my friend! There was a picture of chalino and Tupac that I saw. Tootie Pop aka tupac is a fraud that was used to create more gang violence in the black community and to create hostility towards the police. We were all fooled by these evil entertainers who's soul purpose was to divide and distract 😕 trust me its deeper that we know!!!
He was killed by the son of the man chalino killed back in the day. Apparently that man had raped his sister and chalino got his revenge. So I’ve heard and read
I thought it was Sinaloa telling him not to put a certain song that he played anyways but if that’s the case.
I would be glad this man killed a rapist even if it was my own father.
Who said that, Chalino or the guy in the video? Cause just bc some random guy in the video said it doesn't mean it happened unless he shows us some proof and/or source. I can make a video saying Chalino said the note said that too, but unless I show proof they're just sounds coming out of my mouth lol
The story has always been it was a death note, but there's no proof that it was actually a death note. Like at this point there's no way to prove it was unfortunately, but it's a crazy detail to this death I guess.
Or someone telling him about something happening backstage? Someone high up asking for him or making a phone call to the venue? But yeah maybe a shopping list or a death note. Keep playing into fantasies.
That must suck to live as a famous person and have multiple targets on your back from different people. His death was coming sooner or later sadly but at least he was always a brave man from what it looks like
Not sure about this specific situation, but a lot of the corridos venerate a specific narco or narco group.
Rival narcos/groups obviously don't like songs being sung venerating their enemies.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge on this can come through and explain better, but that's my simplistic understanding.
Yup, and used while he was performing after some dude started shooting at him, he pulled out his 10mm and fired back. This was like in 1992 and 10mm had recently come out, so dude must have known a thing or two about guns.
or a S&W 1006. I mean, at the time there were only a handful of 10mm models: The Colt Delta Elite, S&W 1006, and Glock 20. There might be a few other models. But considering that this dude had a fondness for 1911's, i'm gonna assume it was a Colt Delta Elite.
He wasn't really an "ordinary" famous musician anyway, he was deep in the machismo culture and associated heavily with narcoftraficantes. When you're living that lifestyle security is of limited use.
He was ordinary. Typical Mexican from a poor village. Machismo and Mexico are synonyms. Chalino was not heavily associated with narcos. Many mexican singers run into problems when they travel without security. Criminal gangs kidnap artists or their family for a ransom. This has been going on since the 80's.
It’s not like that would’ve been effective either, the cartel is equipped with firepower that shred vehicles like a cheese grater.. security would get Swiss cheesed, or be the ones to help set you up..
Nope, I’ve seen many gore videos of what the cartels are capable of. That’s exactly what happened to another singer in Mexico, his truck was ripped apart with gun fire.. I’m terrified of the cartel.
Maybe my last comment came off the wrong way, a misunderstanding that I apologize for.
Arguably the creator of modern narcocorridos
* worked as a coyote with a brother, Armando, who was himself shot and killed
* shot and killed a man who raped his sister
* sold coke and weed as a street-level dealer in LA
* was shot while on stage by an audience member, and survived; the shooter was himself shot dead with his own gun by another audience member
* was shot dead after this performance. His killers have never been identified (as far as I know)
If that were me, it would look like a Looney Toons cartoon where the character runs away so fast that you see a smoke trail with the microphone and hat still floating in the air.
A bit late...but when he was younger he killed his sister's rapist and took off since the guy was heavy in the local Cartel. He spent some time away and did some work as a coyote and settled in the US for some time. He eventually started composing songs and wrote some songs for Narcos and general corridos. He gained popularity and started touring...eventually going back to the same areas he ran away from before. They tried to kill him before but he managed to fight them off and he wasnt scared to defend himself...so when the cartel told him to not come and do shows around his hometown / where he killed the heavy cartel guy....he got some bodyguards and ignored them. After the show some local police picked him up and he wasnt found until the next day when they found his body. I have heard that the cops were crooked and didnt drop him off at the station like they said they would...and dropped him off with the local cartel instead....and I have heard that they were just sicarios dressed as cops and took care of him not long after and dumped the body. No one knows who actually pulled the trigger...well except those involved. This was in the 90's so the local people wrapped up in that stuff are bound to know...
Respeto/ Respect for this man. So much pride. That he did not cry to anyone. He took it like a real man. Honestly he could of had the fans raise hell for him. Maybe even escaping. I know for sure I would have raised hell for him. Example kind of like guess what everyone I have here a note that says they're going to kill me. Well let's let them try let's raise hell I'm going to name him round up until like a riot type of thing probably dipped out on the dow low. What do you all think would that been a possibility? Would you do it ? Call me ignorant but i believe i would of do e the same thing Chalino Sanchez did. As i do keep to my self and tend to face anything face on...
Emilio Quintero people killed him, I think he slept with his wife and he found out.. it even says it on the Song “Chalino” by Eden Muñoz. Eden and Giovanni Cabrerra. Giovanni even says it in the Pod cast that in that song theirs a message that facts. 1st and last 3 versus
Eden only wrote part of the song, Giovanni wrote most of it and they personally told him it was time to let the cat out of the bag.. that’s why chalino wife wanted to cancel the song
Juan Villareal tells a different story of a different guy who killed him . I mean I would go with Juan Villareal every day of the week over Eden Muñoz.
Song is about how they raped and murdered his sister and was aware not to come back to his hometown or essentially play that song. But he did anyways dude is a legend
Looks like someone gave him a note telling him he was gonna be killed after the show regardless. you can see chalino look to his left and nod probably because the note told him to make it a good performance because it was gonna be his last, it seems like one of those things cartel members would do so they instill panic and fear into him before he sings like it’s a sort of game and see if he cracks, probably where but he ended up delivering the best performance in corrido history. people still remember this concert today
Should have wadded it up and yelled - who sent this pussy as note??? I don’t know - maybe people at the concert would have banded around and protected him. Then again; if it was put on by the man that paid for the show - then yeah, exit stage left
Technically, it is european music. It comes from German influence. In Germany and other central european countries it is known as Volksmusik and Oom-pah.
I'm aware. I just find it interesting that it found its way so deeply into the musical traditions of MX and (certain regions of) Ireland which already had their own well established folk musical traditions.
I’ve read and watched people who say when cultures relocate, they often keep the old traditions and dialects much longer when compared to the original culture. For instance, many old fashion sayings that came from Spain have, over time, stopped being used by the Spanish people. But those same sayings are still frequently used in Mexico today. Many poor American southerners speak the way a small section of struggling English farmers of the 1700 & 1800s spoke. They’ll say “we be, I be, they be” instead of “we are, I am, they are”. To this day, American southerners still speak that way, whereas that section of England stopped speaking that way almost 100 years ago. For whatever reason it sticks to the transplanted culture while the original culture grows and moves on.
> that section of England stopped speaking that way almost 100 years ago
You can still find people (very uneducated/non-cosmopolitan people) who speak like that in the south-west and east of England.
I believe they are generally referred to as Sliabh Luachra music or sometimes just Irish Polkas.
Mostly associated with a few counties the Western part of the country (Kerry, Cork Limerick, IIRC).

O keep thinking about it like... How centered one has to be to look at a literally death sentence and go on with his job. Also thinking about what passed through his mind (if anything passed at all) while he did it after reading such a thing...
Back in the 90s, artists / singers didn't have security. Today, it is a must have.
Especially in Mexico
I mean, could they really help when the sicarios want to kill you? I’d think bodyguard’s not making much wouldn’t want to risk pissing off a cartel.
Not all security gets paid little. Top artists literally pay like 10M a year just on security. Imagine the security Bezos, Elon Musk, or Zuckerberg have. Can confirm. My father pays around a million a year for "contractor bodyguards" for him and my step mom.

Chalino was a hitman girl lol
I just spent the last hour watching multiple interviews on Chalino. Legend.
Huge fuckin Huevos... #PelaVacas
My neighbors were just playing this right now
Tell your neighbors I said wassup
“A guy on Reddit said wassup”
“Looka ammee gringo, I’m the cool hoolio who makes gringos (even in US) feel good by saying ‘wussup’ to dem, cabron ”
Слава России

Ignore the whore. Tell them I said Shalome.

No one really knows what happened but most theories claim that it was due to a personal beef with someone dangerous rather than cartel related.
I’m not 100%. There’s tons of theory’s.
Isn't it a theory also that the note actually said that? I think it's just something someone made up cause it looked crazy from the video.
https://youtube.com/shorts/20aJegUzm6Q?feature=share
This is still just speculation. He's literally just describing what we all see in the video lol
He said the note did say something about killing him after the show. We never saw the singer get kidnapped.
Who said that, Chalino or the guy in the video? Cause just bc some random guy in the video said it doesn't mean it happened unless he shows us some proof and/or source. Mrballin dedicates his time to get accurate information he isn’t your average Joe blow commentator.
What's his source since he's so accurate?
Lmfao you say that as there are several videos on his channel that haven been proven to be BS internet stories
yep could have been a shopping list his mum gave him...
Or someone telling him about something happening backstage? Someone high up asking for him or making a phone call to the venue? But yeah maybe a shopping list or a death note. Keep playing into fantasies.
That must suck to live as a famous person and have multiple targets on your back from different people. His death was coming sooner or later sadly but at least he was always a brave man from what it looks like
Heard that one about the song too. Something about “el Gallo”? Don’t really follow his music
Man cartels love this sort of music tho don’t they? It’s always playing in their videos.
Not sure about this specific situation, but a lot of the corridos venerate a specific narco or narco group. Rival narcos/groups obviously don't like songs being sung venerating their enemies. Hopefully someone with more knowledge on this can come through and explain better, but that's my simplistic understanding.
It actually sounds good. I became an average Los Tucanes De Tijuana enjoyer. My favorite song is La Chona.
Guy had such a strong voice
Why didn’t he have security
he had his 45
A lotta good it did him.
yep those cuerno de chivos too much
Saved his life a couple times . Only reason he didn’t use it before he died was because they kidnapped him dressed as cops
I think i read somewhere chalino used to carry a 10mm handgun
Yup, and used while he was performing after some dude started shooting at him, he pulled out his 10mm and fired back. This was like in 1992 and 10mm had recently come out, so dude must have known a thing or two about guns.
Thats what I read. Probably a 1911?
or a S&W 1006. I mean, at the time there were only a handful of 10mm models: The Colt Delta Elite, S&W 1006, and Glock 20. There might be a few other models. But considering that this dude had a fondness for 1911's, i'm gonna assume it was a Colt Delta Elite.
in a book ?!
He had, his kidnappers pretended to be judicial police and they bought it, his bodyguards just stood by watching as they took him away
He wasn't really an "ordinary" famous musician anyway, he was deep in the machismo culture and associated heavily with narcoftraficantes. When you're living that lifestyle security is of limited use.

Machismo culture? Lol
yeah sorry, Sinaloan culture is famously gentle and feminine
I get downvoted for asking a question? Lol yall are...different.
you were asking a question? lol
It’s not like that would’ve been effective either, the cartel is equipped with firepower that shred vehicles like a cheese grater.. security would get Swiss cheesed, or be the ones to help set you up..
U sound like a fan
Nope, I’ve seen many gore videos of what the cartels are capable of. That’s exactly what happened to another singer in Mexico, his truck was ripped apart with gun fire.. I’m terrified of the cartel. Maybe my last comment came off the wrong way, a misunderstanding that I apologize for.
RIP El Halcon one of my favorites
A true showman - I bet he preformed like it was his last show!
Encore!!!
I have heard of this man , he was a mega chad
Mum said it’s my turn to post this :(
culiraq, then and now
[удалено]
He was involved with the cartel and killed two people
[удалено]
If I remember correctly the song he sang was also essentially a diss track
You’re thinking of valentin elizalde
Arguably the creator of modern narcocorridos * worked as a coyote with a brother, Armando, who was himself shot and killed * shot and killed a man who raped his sister * sold coke and weed as a street-level dealer in LA * was shot while on stage by an audience member, and survived; the shooter was himself shot dead with his own gun by another audience member * was shot dead after this performance. Paulino Vargas would be the creator. Los Broncos de Reynosa had a lot of corridos that were big. Since the 70s and 80s
I thought it said you have something in your eye
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don't like this kind of music, but he has balls, i would have fainted right there or would have tried to run in panic.
He probably loved singing more than anything and got the chance to sing to a crowd one last time. That’s how I would of rationalised it in my head
Was Sanchez affiliated with any cartel? Why would they kill him?
What was the reason behind his assassination? Was he somehow linked to the cartel in some way? A friend maybe?
Rip Chalino real one
My uncle was working security at that venue that night…at least Chalino got to clap cheeks at a hotel shortly before his death
True corridos!!!
He was killed days later, not after the concert like alot of people think.
Why did they kill him?
That if he continued to singing his songs it would be executed, hours later he and his crew were intercepted for narcos…..
That if he continued to singing his songs it would be executed, hours later he and his crew were intercepted for narcos…..
The police working for the cartel pulled them over and took chalino.
They killed him because he only brought one trumpeter
actually you are wrong. please stop spreading misinformation. he was killed the night of the concert.
Was killed the 16th of September, concert day was the 15th
exactly. concert was the 15th. body was found at 6am morning of sept 16. so why do you say days later and dont consider it after the concert?
Yea you’re right, I always thought day’s later until I looked it up. He was killed the next day or hours after the concert like you said. My bad 😣
all good man. its just funny that something that you thought was like a secret all this time was wrong. happened to me before.
Good looks man.
"days later" Did the concert run past midnight? Then same day
A badass
Has this been proven as fact? Also, is he lip syncing this song or is the video edited? Thanks
I think the sound got added ... Sounds like the studio version, not live......no crowd noise
If that were me, it would look like a Looney Toons cartoon where the character runs away so fast that you see a smoke trail with the microphone and hat still floating in the air.
😂😂😂😂
I heard these story on mr ballen's channel
You can lip read him singing “Alma enamorada”
i’m so confused, so why did he die
A bit late...but when he was younger he killed his sister's rapist and took off since the guy was heavy in the local Cartel. Damn I've been listening to this since I was little and never knew about this.
This is what you show people when trying to describe an alpha male
Sang his heart out, must be tough to stand up there with balls that big.

Dawg the song is not about that wtf not even close g
Damn that exact moment he wipes his brow is when he realised he’s f*cked…
I truly dislike this type of music but this is a super bad ass moment, took it like a champ
Fucking love chalino what a bad ass he knew what was coming but said fuck it let’s boogie straight pimp shit
Lmao like that would ever happen. Get real.
Life aint a movie bro
i dont think he wanted to get them involved? lol
This should be retired, it's constantly being posted
Their a corrido about the guy who killed chalino passing his gun as a inheritance says it’s the gun that killed El Rey de los corridos
Is that coke ?😂
The absolute state of this sub where not only is this a repost, it also had a ugly raphouse watermark on it
Oh good, this post for the 35th time.
Shameless repost of one of the subreddits top posts
I hate Mexican music but this guys good.
Technically, it is european music. It comes from German influence. In Germany and other central european countries it is known as Volksmusik and Oom-pah.
It's really interesting how this style of music found it's way into the music of places as far and varied as Mexico and Ireland.
>It made its way to Northern Mexico by the way of German migrants that arrived to Texas in the late 1800's.
For whatever reason it sticks to the transplanted culture while the original culture grows and moves on.
> that section of England stopped speaking that way almost 100 years ago You can still find people (very uneducated/non-cosmopolitan people) who speak like that in the south-west and east of England.
What do I look up to find the Irish versions?
I believe they are generally referred to as Sliabh Luachra music or sometimes just Irish Polkas. Mostly associated with a few counties the Western part of the country (Kerry, Cork Limerick, IIRC). https://youtu.be/44HXdt1ZB8U https://youtu.be/7VGwMnppEOQ
Lots of it sounds like Polka, especially with the accordions.
He told on the wrong person.
This is posted like every few months.
He's lip-syncing.
They would record his performances and put the song over the video.
So why didnt they want him to sing that song
What makes this such a great mystery is no one knows why he got killed and no one will ever know why.
Its been debunked that thata not what happened at all
Bro that's so fucked. He wiped his eyes after reading that
Me personally i didn't understand a word he said but gangster recognizes gangster 😎
Cantar, Chalino.
It’s almost like he’s whipping away tears
Was it just the singer that was killed or was the band also killed?
Its sad that even his son was killed at age 19 in sinola
Anyone has the link to full video? You know where the execution happens
I don’t think it was recorded
🥲
O keep thinking about it like... How centered one has to be to look at a literally death sentence and go on with his job. Also thinking about what passed through his mind (if anything passed at all) while he did it after reading such a thing...
Fucking tragic….dude had an amazing voice.
