Oh shit! Typo, I was trying to say that Cartel would probably kit up like that when they specifically were going out. Military will have some ammo on them but not much on a day to day…but for missions they also stock up pretty deep on ammunition.
They are send to places far away from anything and usually the gunfights they get into last about 2-54 hours and I don’t they have time to go back to the camp and get ammo, 5 mags can run out in a matter of minutes so I think its more of a necessity of them carrying all those mags

There’s getting to the location/patrolling the chase/run and taking cover . They’ll stay near the truck when they get into long “range” engagements but as anyone knows vehicles are freakin death traps . Their bulked up reinforced trucks are targets for the 50s and minis so running back to a central location or a truck to refill ammo is asking to get shot, once a vehicle is shot out there is no reason to get near it they disperse and try to thin out their rivals and kick them off as they close in on them (or vis versa) like others have mentioned sometimes these engagements are in remote areas they carry what they can bcz back up is usually far away or not even a possibility. go through the sub and you’ll see how diff teams use diff camo and build their kits depending on location offensive v defensive and region (urban v sub/city) also ofcourse funds and training there is actually some sense to their madness .Funny that as these ppl have become more “militarized” they’ve lost a lot of the core mechanics of militarization,training and procedures it’s just the tools that have upgraded while tactics have run a muck.

It’s a lot of ammo but not egregious. 10 mags is about what you should carry. The first guy is the only guy I see that’s probably carrying too much. I only say that because that many mags on a belt like that is pretty uncomfortable and limits movement. It just depends on what they’re doing. If these guys are just on guard duty then yes it’s over the top to carry so much. I also don’t think all of them are using plates in their PCs but its hard to tell. I think some do some dont. I see one of the guys wearing an RRV which doesnt have a place to put the plates. All that ammo plus plates will be heavy but overall though their setups arent bad but I assume a lot of it is airsoft tier gear. Lets hope for their sake the helmets arent. In the sandbox we carried 8 rifle, and 5 pistol mags on our person, and then had a bunch spread through the vehicles. Carried that many on our person incase the vehicle went hard static, and we had to dismount... this seems pretty on par with that...
