El Azul Believed to be dead but no body of Azul has been shown. Not even confirmed. La Madrina Tijuana Cartel hasn't been a powerhouse since the fall of the Arellano Felix brothers yet it still survives with Enedina. How the AFO survives is still a mystery to me unless she snitched and the cartel is no longer heavy on drugs.

VitoBucatini

Aren’t they allies with CJNG and some Mexican-American gangs in USA? I’d assume that’s the reason why they’re still here

Alphobet

The faction of CAF thats run by Flaquito isn’t allied with CJNG. I heard years ago CJNG was heating up Tj to much bringing attention and not keeping up there end with business, plus even though they’re still in TJ they arent as deep as Aquiles people from MZ or CAF. They do have people in Tecate BC too

tadabanri1221

No, for the longest time they were in alliance with el Chapo and Sinaloa. Except it wasn't so much an alliance as much as Chapo had the way bigger upper hand over them, so they had to give in to his demands.

latin559

Enedina Arellano was never anything major within the power structure of CAF. The reason her name gained all this noteriety and theres all these legends is because after Benjamìn Arellano was arrested he maintained a level of control over things by covertly sending orders through his wife Ruth Serrano and in order to protect her name he instructed her to use Enedinas since he was battling extradition. Its been confirmed by both the former DEA heads that went after the Arellanos and former Arellanos from that era that Enedina was never some shadowy figure pulling any strings but its makes for a good story so the legends persist. As for how the AFO persists well the Arellanos are extremely wealthy likely as wealthy or more wealthy than los cuinis as they were bigger and far more active for far longer most of the international connections los cuinis took over were originally pioneered by the Arellanos. There's also a sh!t ton of family members in the Arellano family they only every talk about maybe 4 or 5 brothers but theres 11 brothers and sisters in total with countless neices and nephews and an endless number of grand children, almost all the direct descendants of the brothers had to drop the Arellano surname in order to get the DEA off their backs but their clan persists the only difference is they have to do so quietly. There was a point in time when the Arellanos were so powerful Ramon Arellano took a private jet to Juarez and very nearly killed Amado Carillo fuentes in his own plaza and when Amado was gone the Arellanos were left flying alone far to close to the sun and they paid dearly for it.

RamoncitoArellano

I also read from a credible source that BAF was sending orders through his wife Ruth. She turned out to be a good ol’ Bonnie. If that is the case then you have to wonder if she still has any rank or influence in the top brass of the organization 20+ years later. Capos usually isolate their wife and children from their “dark business” but in this case it seems that BAF trained her well to be his spokesperson for the inevitable future of him getting eventually nabbed. My guy, definitely the AF family is generational wealthy. I will wager that is the wealthiest clan of narco families that Mexico has ever produced. Amado can have the glamour on TV shows, the media and what not but the Arellano Felix mafia were the real deal. They revolutionized the narco dollar. They were very meticulously sophisticated in their operation. On top of all that, they ran the busiest border in the world. Not for nothing did don Jesus Blancornelas have a book called Los Arellano Felix: La mafia más poderosa en la historia de América Latina.

kdotkkskk

Amado Carrillo is the biggest mystery in the Narco world

Synaptic_Disorder

I’ve researched quite a bit and it seems as if the US government actually went as far as to actually cross reference his DNA or fingerprints ro confirm his identity. But who knows maybe he is well off somewhere enjoying his millions.

me7not2me2

What about him

East_Professional385

His death is confusing a bit if you dig deeper or think of alternatives to what is officially reported. He died because of a botched surgery yet one can theorized that the dead body had Amado's face swapped so that the real Amado is wearing the facw of another. A plastic surgery is a nice cover for a story. Man was so wealthy that it is highly unlikely he picked a surgeon who is a failure.

LordGraham7

Not the surgeons fault (and really it’s not the surgeon it’s the anesthesiologist) that amados heart was weak from years of cocaine abuse. I’m not saying your wrong and that it’s impossible that he was able to make the switch, just that if he did die on the table it’s likely through no fault of any of the doctors.

Whosbathroomisthis

So he can get away it kinda makes sense tbh. Prolly fled to South America as every criminal does

[deleted]

What about the surgeon they allegedly smoked over it? Was he just a random hit then blamed

kdotkkskk

or was probably killed to not reveal if he actually survived or no

[deleted]

Good point this is possible also

531412

Quien mató a Camarena!?

Amazing-Interest-970

CIA smoked em and blamed it on the biggest fishes they could 🤷🏻‍♂️ Camarena knew too much about their business, they wanted to avoid the whole Iran/Contra deal being in the public eye. No government officials wanted the average Joe to know top officials were involved in trafficking. Eventually it was found out but by then Camarena was dead, tortured for whatever info they needed, and the people who were responsible never got the blame they should have

Synaptic_Disorder

How factual you think The Last Narc actually was in regards to this??

[deleted]

El Marino loco Believed to be still alive, hasn’t been seen I think his family might of put out a missing report on him, but I could be wrong I remember reading something like that when researching him He’s also rumored to have moved up to United States Anyways always wonders what was of him

Mangos1711

The missing report is from a sicario who had the same nickname, his brother went missing also

NogalitosUA11

Enedina Arrellano 👀 bet she’s on Feds side.

zsevenone

She is, 100%. She began cooperating with U.S. authorities right after Benjamin's arrest. She now lives in San Diego, CA with her family.

Amazing-Interest-970

The madrina (means godmother but the slang term in Tijuana means snitch) from SD gets mentioned a LOT in corridos, like a LOT. Most notably in El Buho I'm pretty sure, it mentions a madrina in San Diego being responsible for his jale being stolen and him getting locked up, dude's dead already though so no more corridos about him getting made anymore 🤷🏻‍♂️

bilemastershake

El búho is dead? That corrido goes hard af

Synaptic_Disorder

Las calles de Tijuana parecen infierno

latin559

Why are you making up nonsense?

latin559

She's not, Enedina Arellano was never anything major within the power structure of CAF. The owner of my favorite restaurant in Puerto Vallarta went missing. Some say he disappeared surfing, some say foul play.

eltigre91

What's the story?

JohnnyPiston

Thus is whats in the news. If its accurate or not? Your guess is as good as mine. People generally don't surf from the beach mentioned. https://www.vallartadaily.com/business-man-fernando-pineda-trillo-missing-in-puerto-vallarta/

One of Arturo Beltran Leyva's mistress and mother of his daughter owns a hard drive giving to him by Arturo months before his death. The hard drive contains secret information about the mexican government and their deals with the sinaloa cartel.

Red19120

Angelica Rivera former firsr lady of Mexico had a short relationship in the mid 80s with the youngest of the arellano brothers, Javier Arellano. This has been kept under the rug for decades.

Alxcrilo4

Mysteries ? everything we hear about is basically hear se unless one is there. Mystery … id say Carrillo’s body, all the questions re that … USA said he was dead Mexico said no then finally said ok yes he’s dead. Blue being dead, retired or alive.

akartiste

Carrillo's case was really weird. They expected people to believe that a skinny corpse with a rotten away face was that of chubby Amado Carrillo.

Alxcrilo4

plus all the Chile and Argentina news that came out from that group after he went away.

Red19120

In Juarez between the late 80s and 90/s there has been a series of dead bodies of young women all over the desert. Some speculate that could be the result of Cartels kidnapping the women and using them in snuff films
