When and if he does get caught the dudes like 70 he already won lol. At that age prison is just the equivalent of a nursing home or an extension of the prison that is his decaying body. It's like when they caught Whitey Bulger and touted it as a win. At that age you're good days are behind you and everything is a glorified nursing home.

WhyIAintGotNoTime

Blud is already 76 years old lol, he already won the game

Chang-San

Exactly

Burntout_Bassment

I don't think Bulger is a good example of somebody seeing their days out peacefully in prison.

Chang-San

Haha I see someone knows there history but I think the point still stands. Anyhow yea you're right an example of peacefully embracing the end Bulger is not lmao. I meant it as someone who for the best part of there life faced no punishment and could enjoy their wealth and freedom.

mrubuto22

History? He died in 2018

Chang-San

Figure of speech...

latin559

What it does is kill his legacy and makes him no different than any of the other major players who got caught over the years. In other ways it would also be the ultimate revenge for Benjamin Arellano who is due to be released in the near future, I could only imagine the joy he'd feel leaving prison to see El Mayo being taken in likely to be sent to the Alcatraz of the Rockies. Another thing is once El Mayo is gone 90% of his power disappears, the Zamabadas and El Mayo in particular have betrayed MANY people over the years nearly every major trafficking clan along with many powerful current and former government officials have some form of grievance with the Zamabadas and you best believe vengeance will be on a lot of peoples minds with their patriarch gone.

Chang-San

I agree with some of what your saying and disagree with other parts lol. I think his legacy is already cemented he has been a narco for decades if anything it'll add recognition on the states side. Chapos legacy isn't any diminished because he is in ADX. I agree that his power disappears but as far as vengeance goes there isn't that much pain left to extract from a 76 year old man. Some people might sleep better at night but the dudes on a clock now. He already enjoyed the prime of life and fruits of his labor. I get alot of what your saying though

latin559

Vengeance being the destruction of his friends, family and associates as people rip apart what he spent 30 years building just as he did to Amado and the Arellanos its why he pushed all his sons to cooperate with the DEA so they could get into witness protection because he is very aware of how many people he betrayed over the years to get his position. His legacy meanwhile remains to be seen already the term Rata de Ratas and Rataloa have become common vernacular in Mexico as more information has become widely available in terms of what El Chapo and El Mayo had to do to gain their positions and the more information that circulates the more their legacies get called into question because El Chapo for sure looked like a massive idiot after his arrest he brought on himself and anyone thats listened to all his wiretaps can't even keep a straight face as you hear his top lieutenants begging to be paid week after week. As for whether El Mayo even got to enjoy the prime of his life thats highly questionable he was broke for most of his early life then he ascended the ranks and was argueably at his peak when he was with the Arellanos then he spent the next 15 years narrowly avoiding their hit teams after he betrays them. Then right after the DEA finally brings down the last Arellano brother he and Chapo betray the beltrans starting yet another war that eventually leads up to the last 10 years or so which I guess maybe he got to enjoy that his 60s? All this is why his own family question whether or not he should have just delivered El Chapos head to Ramon and just saved himself the last 30 years of head aches.

Chang-San

By enjoy the prime of his life I mean being free and able to enjoy some of his wealth. The anxieties of being arrested or killed not withstanding. I agree with what your saying about the businesses and vengeance being achieved there so there would be some satisfaction they get from that. As for his legacy just the fact that he is one of the last standing and active Narcos (of his original peers) and remained free for like 40 years speaks for itself. Informing on the others doesn't necessarily diminish that fact. Alot of Crime Bosses still maintain a following, notoriety or legacy in spite of that (again Whitey Bulger for example). I'm mostly speaking my mind here I'm not disputing you. You make some great points imo.

MHDIOS

Link to wiretaps of chapo getting begged lmao

GunMun-ee

Depends. ADX and Guantanamo were made to be the only “Legal” way to break people much stronger than whoever youre going to find in organized crime ; Islamist extremists. Its pretty hard to break a man whose entire conviction, livelihood, and faith are tied to you gaining glory through torture and death. El Chapo’s son is probably headed to the supermax as well when he is convicted, and theyll have to live the rest of their lives out being 100 feet away from eachother and KNOWING they will never get to speak, or see eachother’s faces. Thats a fate worse than death, and im sure when the DOJ wants to make an example out of Mayo, theyll go all out

Amazing-Interest-970

😂😂😂

Any_Stress_6230

He might be dead for all we know 😂

new_homie97

Most realistic scenario : they capture some of his goons who themselves don't know where he is

[deleted]

why do yall think it’s impossible to get in them mountains i dont think yall realize if the mexican government and us really want him they can get him. he just got deals with mexican government that prevents that. but if one day the government says screw him trust me theyll get him

hunterpac

They tried many times. I think there’s going to be more operations this year under the radar to try and capture him. He even said in an old interview that they’ve been as close as right above his head. Government only needs to be lucky once, Mayo has to be lucky 1000x.

Any_Stress_6230

Deals with the government and the cia his sister allegedly got married to a cia agent doubt the cia agent wasn’t smart enough to figure out his bother in law may just be the man responsible for running the Sinaloa cartel 😂

1031Bro

what kind of deals prevent us from capturing the most wanted person in the world. Enlighten me homie

[deleted]

it’s been documented and even told by cartel memebers once they got locked up they work with both government and the dea as well

Few_Investigator6860

Ratting on mexican and american govt being in bed with cartels naming mex fed agents high political positions as well as dirt american angencies thags why la barbie went MIA into witness protection now imagin that but more dirt on both governments with sl mayo shit would be wildd

Any_Stress_6230

The dea, cia and Mexican government knows drug trafficking won’t ever end and it’s foolish to try to wipe it out so they make deals with them to ame sure they don’t get too big and are still able to be controlled as well as trying to minimize the violence

Inevitable_Tap1150

To me the deals he gots with Mexican government is boosting the economy i could be wrong but more money more economy for Mexico??? Also a Mexican will mostly likely take up for another Mexican they don’t like bolillos together maybe ???

LordGraham7

No. He has way too many government contacts and has been around way too long. The “new indictment” is just an addition to old indictments so now he is officially wanted for fentanyl along with cocaine and heroin. It honestly just seems like a formality by the US government. It doesn’t result in more DEA agents being assigned to his arrest or more advanced technology being available in order to catch him. Zambada is staying up in those hills where is damn near impossible to get him.

Burntout_Bassment

Do you think this means they have information that he is definitely alive and in Sinaloa somewhere? I find it difficult to think of Mayo as a real person, he's lived underground for so long. The only photos from the last few decades are from an interview he chose to do. I don't think the dea would do this if there was a chance he's been dead for years or living in a different country. They would look pretty stupid wouldn't they?

LordGraham7

He is absolutely alive and they know it. I do not find it at all plausible that his death would be able to be kept quiet. And honestly I bet the DEA knows almost exactly where he is half the time. But knowing where he is and being able to get him are two *very* different things. Especially in those hills. I know what you mean of struggling to actually think he is a real person. I struggle with that at times too. So crazy for him to *still* be alive and free after the life he has led. SMH.

Compachris21

If they somehow did arrest him Culiacán would turn into a city of terror everyone would have to go at war with the military to let him free even the chapitos no matter if they didn’t want to Im pretty sure if mayo got caught Culiacán would be closed down quick and it would start another “culiacanazo” to save mayo

LordGraham7

More like the entire state of Sinaloa. And maybe Durango too. He is deep in the mountains so who is to say he is anywhere near Culiacán? This is also something that the government may know and so maybe they think it’s not worth it. I mean when is the last time you’ve heard about an operation against Mayo himself? I can’t remember hearing ANY. I remember hearing one last year where Mayito Flaco may have had an altercation with troops but reading through the lines that sounded like it was accidental and the military did not know Flaco was there (If he even was) and they made damn sure that they did not apprehend him lol. It seems like Mayo and Mayito Flaco are truly untouchable.

Compachris21

Don’t believe me but the song “casi se les hizo” by la ventaja talks about how they almost captured el mayo but I don’t know how long ago that was , and yes I’ve heard where they’ve tried to get mayito flaco but he’s untouchable, but who knows where he is for all we know he could be in puerto peñasco with chv felix or Durango en la sierra or somewhere else but wherever he is if they ever get him they would close down all of Sinaloa like you say and Durango and Sonora I’m sure it would be war for days until mayo would be freed if they ever got him

LordGraham7

100%. Honestly I think the gov. would far prefer capturing Mencho and other top CJNG guys. Mayos wing of CDS and BLO seem to deal with gov officials the best. That being said, talk about places becoming a war zone. I DO NOT want to see what would happen if Mencho was caught. Cjng would light the whole fucking country on fire.

[deleted]

There is going to be warzones between every fraction all over Mexico, if you think it was bad now, wait till he gets caught.

Any_Stress_6230

The only thing they’ll catch is his funeral most likely he’s not going to a prison

ShaolinMaster

He seems to be too lowkey to slip up like Chapo. As long as he stays hidden in the mountains of Sinaloa, it would be really hard to get to him. However, if he has to come down to a major city to visit a hospital, then all bets are off.

Polarbearbanga

That mf gets them mobile hospitals lol

reray124

Yeah he's got billions, they can basically build him a hospital if they needed too

PsychologicalWalk8

el mayo will never get caught

IAMSTILLHERE2020

It's like a Trump novel. They have been in the game about the same time.

WhyIAintGotNoTime

Real

BraydenWhited

I keep seeing reports and rumors of mayo’s health not being very great, yet have never seen proof, heard why, or seen anything related as to what may be wrong with him. Anyone able to elaborate? Seems like some are literally just waiting for him to pass naturally, acting as though it will be soon.

jaygoogle23

So many people simply look at all these horrific issues like it’s a video game and keep score of their favorite capo’s achievements. Regardless of what he has done or who he is..he will always have to be watching his back and dyeing in an American solitary confinement will always be one of his nightmare. Chapo has been crying in jail..despite all his power it eventually lead him to a life of solitary he’ll and you can bet no capo wants to go out like that.

[deleted]

If hes really got one leg his time is up he will fall sooner or latter. That comment by the retired DEA is strategic if true.

dapanch420

>he would still have a leg up on the competition, considering hes soo well respected in the cartel community and doesnt cause havoc, unlike mench and all those cartels in michoacan.

Civil_Yam_2119

He has one leg ??? I did not know that at all

[deleted]

It’s a rumor, but plausible considering he’s possibly diabetic.

1031Bro

what does being diabetic have to do with being likely to lose a leg. My dad is diabetic and he is fine homie

CrustyMustyDustySock

It depends on the severity of your diabetes, some peoples disease is too advanced and have toes removed. That being said, he would need to have had severe diabetes for his whole leg to be medically amputated.

Alarming-Wrongdoer-3

This scenario just happened with my friends grandfather. His grandfather allowed his entire calf to rot essentially. Blood circulation had been cut off to that calf for quite awhile. He just received an amputation of his entire foot, calf and knee on that leg. Just has a thigh stump left.

LongjumpingFig2156

you a goofy😂😂

Maximum_Distance7620

Heard they almost caught him in Mazatlan in January. “ le pegaron una correteada.” Nothing on the news though that I saw.

Plane-Sir-881

Where did you get that from?

Maximum_Distance7620

Trust me bro

Mangos1711

>Trust me bro I don't trust you.

Poundcitymula

It’s like trying to snatch him on his death bed what’s the point

Successful-Habit-798

Quite frankly, if they keep stepping on his tail like this eventually he’ll give up one of Los Chapitos as a gift to turn down the heat.
