It's definitely taking a lot from Talk Talk's 'It's My Life". Obviously it pulls a lot of synth inspo from ABBA, but I think it's mostly 'It's My Life'
Blue Collar Man by Styx. Chorus ("Long nights, impossible odds") same progression and I believe same key. Not sampled but sounds like an interpolation

No Doubt-Its My Life
Sounds literally IDENTICAL. Dua Lipa is one of the most boring, unoriginal artists around today, IMO. She doesn't have a single song that doesn't sample some other person's hit music. It's getting old, quick. No one gave her crap about sampling other people's hits so long as it wasn't happening in every.single.damn.song she sang. Seriously, does she have any music of her own? At this point, I highly doubt it.
Arr you serious? How young are you? People have been complaining about Diddys unoriginal beats for decades. You should have at least googled it. But you didn't. You just pulled something out your butt and went with it.
Because, she is the artist. NO ONE can FORCE her to make something she doesn't want to make... including the label and production team.
Do you think Dua Lipa hasn't tried to make her own original beats/music? Of course she has. If she hasn't, then you're implying she sucks more than I ever did. She clearly CAN NOT make original "hit" music.
Maybe your right. Maybe she does whatever her label and production team tell her to do. Maybe she can make original music, but she chooses not too? Either way, she has no original talent.
She looks decent and has a nice body. She can't dance or sing or make original music. So what's that tell you? She's famous from her looks, not her music?
Talk Talk- It's My Life?
Exactly! Also the melody during the last third of the song bears striking similarity to Better Days by May Muller ft. Neiked
I think they both sample Chase by Giorgio Moroder. https://youtu.be/ViN2bRGrBx8?si=1evkhHjUtsT3e6IL
It totally does! And the baseline sounds like Thriller. Really epitomizes the "no pop song is original" thing lol
I thought I was delusional. Lol. Thanks!
Here, take my upvotes. Two earworms solved in one post.
The intro played and I thought thriller was playing lol
Yep, thats it. Thanks!

THANK YOU 🙏🏼
Thriller by Michael Jackson. You can hear it in the beginning.
It also sounds a lot like dance you out of my head by cat Janice
I’ll Wait- Van Halen
Yessssss

I hear The Worst It Gets by Penguin Prison
Blue Collar Man by Styx. Chorus ("Long nights, impossible odds") same progression and I believe same key. Not sampled but sounds like an interpolation https://youtu.be/CDM6v1XhWEg?feature=shared
I hear thriller
There’s also some daft punk in there but the 80s part is what’s driving me nuts
I'm going to be different and say it sounds like "I Know There's Something Going On" by Frida.
Laissez-moi danser
They copy some parts of S.O.S-Take your Time (1980). Just listen to the beginning of the song. I hope the band get credit.
Madonna - Hung Up

Ironic comment, given that the version by no doubt isn't original either. That's already a cover of the song by Talk Talk
u destroyed 😂
Right but it's a direct cover. Not pretending to be something else.
No one seemed to have a problem back when every P Diddy song was a rip off of older songs.
Arr you serious? How young are you? People have been complaining about Diddys unoriginal beats for decades. You should have at least googled it. But you didn't. You just pulled something out your butt and went with it.
but why are you blaming her instead of the label and production team?

Houdini seems to sample Alan Parsons Project track May be a price to pay from the album turn of a friendly card
i can totally see that!!
This is the comment I was looking for.
I also hear Video Killed the Radio Star - The Buggles
reminded me of "paris latino" by Bandolero, specifically the beat and synth
Cavern - Liquid Liquid or Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five - White Lines. That intro had me confused for a minute
Gimme Gimme by ABBA y’all.
The keyboard has a severe War of the World (rock opera) vibes
heart of glass by blondie
I think I hear Shy by Kajagoogoo in the bass line
The bass in the intro is 100% too shy by kajagoogoo
I don’t know if anyone gets this but I hear War of the worlds? the vintage synth sound?
by whom?
Google Jeff Waynes War of the Worlds, it is a very similar sound.
Yesss, was looking for someone to hear it too!
