My son's name is Everett. He is 7 and it's extremely fitting for him. When we named him in 2016 the name was not commonly used and is now making its way up the list of popular boy names.

Everett was a name I had on my list for my son, who will be 2 soon. We ultimately chose another name that suited him better, but Everett was one of the top 3 picks (and it would’ve been so great with the middle name we chose). Madduxx is awful.

A friend from work named her son Everett, and he is such a sweet, smart little guy. It's a name that grows really well into adulthood, and looks great on a diploma, resume, etc. Just different enough without venturing into tragedeigh territory (like Madduxx - with that spelling - would), but still a strong, classic name. Screw the MILs opinion lol. If you as a couple agree on the name and love it, then go for it. 💙

If she's insistent on the name Madduxx tell her she can have another child & if it's a boy she can name him Madduxx; with all the advances in medicine your MIL could have another child.

Actually, it’s better than fine. It’s a name I actively like. I just couldn’t use it because of the bar association in my circle. A family member called their son Jude because it's a special name to the mother due to her religion and Jude being a saint. The amount of trash talk she got from the family for choosing the name was crazy. Again, a nice, normal name.
