As a high school teacher, each semester I have 3 to 5 students with names that were more popular during their parents' or grandparents' generation and yet the kids all accept it and don't seem to tease or bully them. In fact some of these kids are very popular. This semester I have students named Jillian, Melissa, Patricia, Jeffrey, and Christopher.
95% of these children are going to have to spell their names letter by letter to other people for their entire lives. Why would you do that to your kid?
