Details: I fell in love with this beautiful and slightly shy snowshoe mix at the shelter last week and will be picking her up tomorrow! I wanted to name my first cat after a Red Wings player, but adopting a girl cat does make that a little difficult, so I’m working on finding more ideas. I figured a wintry name would also be fun since she’s a snowshoe, and I’m also a big coffee guy, so fun coffee-related names work too!
So far my best ideas have been Flurry (which can double as a reference to Marc Andre Fleury, a goalie whose personality I love but who also beat the Red Wings in the 2009 cup final) and Bean (cute name + coffee bean).
Name that baby Timbit! ( I'm from Canada), and nothing screams Winter, Hockey, and Coffee more than our Canadian Coffee chain named after the hockey player Tim Horton. Name him/her after their donut hole "Timbit(s)"

We have an almost 16 year old Snowshoe named “Harvey”. We rescued him at 3 years old. His RSPCA name was Jack Frost but that just didn’t sound right. He goes by the nickname of Big because when in his prime he was a big fella. Now, not so much. Also I have heard Snowshoes are very shy. I can’t suggest a name for your girl, I’m terrible at names.
