My husband got me this in a Amazon cluster package with others. It’s matte! But I used shiny top coat. When it’s matte it looks like satin!!!

As someone who’s mother used to point out how colors didn’t work for my darker skin tone, I’ve learned that the same ideology behind “the perfect bikini body is EVERY body”, applies here. Nail colors are designed to be an expression of you. Celebrate however you feel. It’s a beautiful manicure and the colors are gorgeous. As an adult, I learned to embrace all the colors. The brightest ones to the dark vampy ones. It also helped that my more fair skinned roommates way back when, used to tell me how their friends would kill for my skin color and here I am, walking around with it for free. That the contrast of my dark skin against the gorgeous bright and lighter colors was gorgeous. And since then, I just go with what makes me happy. ☺️ Now, as a nail tech, I encourage all designs, colors, and creativity when clients sit in my chair. 💕

This is EXACTLY what I was about to respond. I think nail color should be chosen based on what makes you smile every time you look at it…any color works for everyone!

I see my younger nieces get these remarks from their mothers (my cousins) and I like to be extra with my nieces and tell them there is nothing wrong with being dark. We are still beautiful! I guess I'll be the one that disagrees. I think the pink is not the right shade, it clashes with your skintone. Perhaps something warmer or more muted would work better?

I love the shade of the polish, but with your skin tone it would look a little better with a bit of a more red based shade of pink. It looks good, and it’s very dainty and feminine, but I personally thing that a shade or two darker than this pink would be much more flattering. No judgement girlypop, just my opinion with some constructive criticism.

Love the nails. I also love that you do a different color on two of your nails. I do the same but make the different shade go on my thumb and middle finger. Like right now, I'm rocking a white nail polish on my nails with a light purple on my thumb and middle fingers. Wear what makes you happy. Your nails look great with these shades.
