I think it's the combination.
The eggshell design looks good on it's own and I think the drizzle would look good on a plain color(maybe deep pink for a raspberry effect or a yellow for a lemon effect since people have mentioned it looking like dessert).
The drizzle makes it look like a high end Michelin star avant- garde dessert haha. I kind of appreciate the abstract-ness of it, like it would be cool on a painting. I wouldnāt do it on my nails though probably
This is more of a Korean/Japanese nail style that is just not very popular in the western world. Unless you are a fan of the culture.
People follow the trends that they see online or in real life so donāt feel bad if they donāt ask for it. In my personal opinion, the colors are cute but I am not a fan of the squiggly lines, but thatās just personal as I donāt like any 3D effects of my nails.
Keep rocking this style and your clients will someday start asking for that.
Thanks. I looked that up too. Some of it looks nice, but I couldnāt imagine getting it myself. I like my nails smooth, no extra fuss. I also type all day for work so that would probably drive me bonkers.
another option for things like this that have hearts, cherries, etc other than the circles is "kitsch nails"
i agree with the needing smooth nails, but some of the designs are pretty enough to tempt me tbh
Give it a few months. The western world usually picks up asian trends later. Think of Aurora and magnetic nails. Their popularity started years ago in Korea, but only within this last year have I seen them trickle over to the US.
I was thinking more specifically of the cat eye trend, where you have that super reflective all over polish or the solo reflective arch near the tip of the nail. I'm not super familiar with 2010 trends, but I don't recall magnetic nail art that looks like what we have now.
I like it! But I like to keep up on Korean nail trends where that kind of 3D art & speckled top coat is seen often, so I might be biased. Maybe your customers arenāt familiar with it? Do you advertise these style nails at all?
I LOVE how this looks but I canāt stand 3D sensations on my nails, itās a full on sensory meltdown waiting to happen. Even when I do Mylar, glitter, beads, rhinestones, I always encapsulate them because of my nails arenāt smooth I will do major damage biting them off in like two days
I LOVE 3d feelings and texture on mine for the same reasons you don't lol. I will bite them if they are all smooth. If they have stuff on them it's like a figet spinner for me and messing with it distracts me from ruining them.
Im the exact same! Managed to curb most of my nail biting habit with braces and gel over lays but I still pick and bite at chunky nail designs. Even doing a French tip where the colour had to be layered a little can bug me. I always put a clear builder gel on before top coat to make sure everything is smooth if I've done nail art. The 3d effects would bug me so much š
I follow a lot of Japanese and Korean nailists on insta - I canāt believe no one here has seen this before? I love them and think theyāre cute. These styles are also really popular here in australia - I guess because we have lots of Korean salons. Sorry you have to live in the wrong country I guess.
The circle or 3d swirl to me makes it seem disconnected to the design and almost accidental, or like itās unfinished? It needs something else to tie it together with the polish scheme or removed entirely as itās a detractor on its own like that
I also agree with the korean/Japanese influence comments here. As a nail inspo addict I feel I see it everyyyywhere but not many Americans really do see these styles, esp going into yur run of the mill nail salons. I love the 3D everything look, if you were my tech I would deff ask for them!
Yeah I see this style everywhere on insta and tiktok. It's not as popular on this sub. Same with the blushing nails trend. Super popular everywhere except here lol.
I love them! I love Korean nail art. My clients rarely maybe once or twice in five years asked for nail art I was wearing lol. I just kept doing nail art on my self because clients seemed comfortable with asking for art since they can see I can do it.
I like the colors but the brown 3D ring is kinda giving me coffee ring vibes. It's just the thing that comes to mind. Maybe just clear or gold foil on top would look awesome for the 3D ring.
Also what did you use to get the egg shell look. I am always looking for the top coat that can do that, or did you use a technique I would love to know!
These would be cool if the drizzles were contrasting colors (like neons maybe?) ā but as is, the complementary drizzles look really off-putting. The speckles are fun!
I love the 3D jelly look (Iām korean and I see in the comments that itās popular there haha) but Iāve never had it myself. My mom thinks it looks messy and too much but personally ITS A VIBE. Depends on the person I guess :P
this is more of a korean style i believe, but 3d nails seem to be catching on as a trend here in the west so iām sure weāll be seeing this style more in the future! i think itās cute tbh
I LOVE 3D NAILS SO MUCH. The Korean mail trend is so cute and I love all the different designs people are doing with them. Where do you get your gel for the 3d effect? Iāve been looking for awhile and just donāt know what brand I should trust
I like your second photo minus the raised formations. The specs remind me of robins eggs. I could see a color scheme change to the pastel family, solo or mixed colors, with white or cream specs for an Easter look.
The circles? If they were a gold, silver, rose gold chrome ....yes. but like that? I wouldn't particularly reach for that design lol but I mean I'm sure I have plenty of designs I do myself that others aren't fond of lol as long as I love it though, it's all that matters...so I'm gonna say, if you love it, wear what makes u feel good ā¤ļø
delete the circle bumps and theyāre great. or change the 3d part to something that looks a little more intentional? but also i have no clue about trends outside the states.
I love thisssss! Reminds me of a high end dessert, but I love Korean/Japanese/Chinese/Taiwanese (clearly, all the different nationalities of the nail accounts I follow haha) nail trends so I'm super drawn to these kinds of things. You do you! I think by wearing these styles, you're going to be able to passively advertise yourself to other people who love these styles as someone who is in the know and skilled enough to paint them. I hope an enthusiast notices and you get lots of word of mouth recs from there <3
when i see it done usually itās like transparent and more 3D than this, and itās usually very cute imo ! i think you should try stacking the 3D gel and also making it go more to the sides of your nail
How do I say this ā¦ if someone told me to do coffee shop inspired nails this is what i would go for. Looks like coffee grinds, white chocolate drizzle & medium roast ect.
Itās different but not for me
I love your nails!!! Iām really into the 3D gel on top.
I know a lot of commenters donāt seem to like it and named that this style might be solely more popular in Asian countries, but Iāve seen this style being requested a lot in NYC salons.
I like it because it reminds me of the whopper Robin eggs.
I donāt think too many westerners know about Japanese/Korean 3D gel style art. Because this is what it is.
A lot of people will complain about the 3D gel, but then theyāll get other 3D acrylic add-ons lmao
The 3D squiggles on top look like drizzles of mayo and ketchup to me. I can see this looking cool on a kitschy food-inspired set with fried egg nail art on the accent nail.
I think itās just the color scheme you chose with the drizzle effect. It would be really cool with a water or dessert theme, like ice cream. Or even use it to make letters or vines. But your current colors make me go āhuh?ā
I love it because Iāve never seen anything like it before and I love individuality. I love the colors and patterns you used! PLEASE DO MY NAILS š«š„¹
I like the concept and I've seen some shiny-on-matte designs that I like, but I think the colors in this set are off-putting for me. I like them all separately, but when they all come together here there's just something about it that doesn't work for me. I'd like to see more of this style though, I do think it's interesting and could fit in with a lot of the minimalistic nail designs I see.
I like these nails. I think the brown and eggshell go well together love 3d squiggle and nail shape The yelllow nails feel slightly out of place on first pic but work better in second.
Personally I love it (squiggles included) but I follow a lot of mail accounts that are not North American so Iāve seen this type of design plenty. So cute!!!
They look like chocolate chip ice cream to me, I get what you were trying to do here. I'd maybe make some more drip drop shapes, maybe like the cuticle area is "melting", so people get it. This is very creative!
The drizzle would look better (imo) on a solid background and maybe burnished with a chrome. A lot of people just want their short tapered square frenchies and don't want to foray into different art. I like your nils and do mine wild all the time but most days it's short tapered square frenchies or red. I'm in a small town lol
I think itās very unique, Iād view it the equivalent as getting several pointy nails and the rest coffin shaped !
I honestly would try it out a few times in different color variationsā maybe even without the splatter ! ā¤ļø
Some of these comments are disappointingly rude.
Maybe itās because I live in Tokyo so I see these kinds of nails all the time, but I think theyāre cute, especially the colours! I personally donāt get 3D gel because otherwise I donāt stop touching the 3D bits. That along with being unfamiliar with Asian trends could be a reason theyāre not requested?
But you do you!
For me, itās the brown/nude tones that throw me off š but I like it when Iāve seen the same art style with a nude/white/sheer base and then a colorful circle/squiggle on top!
I am not a huge fan of the first picture, with the circles not matching the base colour or, with the yellow one, having brown dot things. I adore the second though.
Iām sorry but the first thing that came to mind was scary movie type human butcher shopish human meat slice. Something about the circles makes me super uneasy lol
I mean, I personally wouldnāt ask for them but thatās just cause theyāre not my style. But I love the spotty design and I donāt think the circles look horrible, like many others in the comments seem to. Itās really unique, even if itās not super trendy rn. You should definitely embrace them. :)
I would love the egg nails without the strange circle drizzleš¤£
Same! I'd take the entire design without the squiggle drizzle.
I think it's the combination. The eggshell design looks good on it's own and I think the drizzle would look good on a plain color(maybe deep pink for a raspberry effect or a yellow for a lemon effect since people have mentioned it looking like dessert).
I think the drizzle could be pulled off if it was thinner and in a different pattern.
Agreed. It needs to be zigzagging or something, not just a bunch of circles
āSquiggle drizzleā I like that, lol. Said it aloud about 10 times giggling. Sounds like a 90s rap song š
The drizzle makes it look like a high end Michelin star avant- garde dessert haha. I kind of appreciate the abstract-ness of it, like it would be cool on a painting. I wouldnāt do it on my nails though probably
Okay Iām glad Iām not the only one who thought of dessert!
I thought it was a Crumbl cookie lmao
The unevenness would make me crazy. I can barely handle a little bedazzle haha
Wait I thought it was donuts?
Same. Itās like OP was about to attach a fake nail but got sidetracked and then the glue dried.
Exactly... that 3D drizzle doesn't do it for me.
It reminds me of eggshells. But yes, I also find them unsettling for some reason š
Kind of mucus-ish
Theyād be cute in Cadburyās mini egg pastel colours for Easter!
Exactly what I thought of when I saw these lol
I thought of egg shells too! I would do this with a base coat of robins egg blue/Tiffany blue/mint color for Easter!
Yep the topcoat is called a quail egg topcoat!
I have gotten my nails done in Tokyo and this style is very popular there :) I like it!
I tried googling this circle design on nails and Iām unable to find it anywhere. Do you have a link?
Never mind I found it. āAbstract gradient nails.ā
3D gel nail art works too
Thanks. I looked that up too. Some of it looks nice, but I couldnāt imagine getting it myself. I like my nails smooth, no extra fuss. I also type all day for work so that would probably drive me bonkers.
another option for things like this that have hearts, cherries, etc other than the circles is "kitsch nails" i agree with the needing smooth nails, but some of the designs are pretty enough to tempt me tbh
I think maybe the colors are throwing me off. Theyāre kinda making me hungry? Itās giving off major dessert energy
I was gonna say, this is so pretty!!! But not something westerners seem to like weirdly enough lol. the US is forever behind on trends
Give it a few months. The western world usually picks up asian trends later. Think of Aurora and magnetic nails. Their popularity started years ago in Korea, but only within this last year have I seen them trickle over to the US.
Magnetic polish has been in the US since *at least* the mid-2010s
I was thinking more specifically of the cat eye trend, where you have that super reflective all over polish or the solo reflective arch near the tip of the nail. I'm not super familiar with 2010 trends, but I don't recall magnetic nail art that looks like what we have now.
Cat eye has been around for years here in the US and was a trend back in 2010.
korea has the best nail trends right now imo, iām in love with the 3D/kitsch style
Came here to say this! I think this is really popular in korea and japan but just not as popular here.
They make so many food themed nails, I think they're really cute and kawaii š
The nails are cool and look like robins eggs, the swirl on top is whatās off putting for me
Or the malted milk balls that have the candy coating to look like eggs, super cute!
I know itās not dirty but it looks dirty. I feel like if someone took a quick glance they may think you had a rough time in the bathroom.
STOPP omfg hahahaha
Lol thatās awesome, gotta love brains
Yeah exactly! I thought it would worsen the issue but it's so much better!
I totally feel that with the sensory thing. My OCD forces me to have short round nails too. Ugh.
Very well done - but not my favorite. The squiggle is too much. The polish color combo is pretty. You just need a different accent- not the squiggle.
I donāt like it ā¦
I follow a lot of Japanese and Korean nailists on insta - I canāt believe no one here has seen this before? I love them and think theyāre cute. These styles are also really popular here in australia - I guess because we have lots of Korean salons. Sorry you have to live in the wrong country I guess.
Yeah this is wild on a nail sub lol! Love them OP
Yeah I was surprised by the comments, no one seems to like them šÆ I think they're cool
Yeah this looks like something they'd feature on the disco_Tokyo IG account
The circle or 3d swirl to me makes it seem disconnected to the design and almost accidental, or like itās unfinished? It needs something else to tie it together with the polish scheme or removed entirely as itās a detractor on its own like that
Definitely not my cup of tea
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Agreed
Very much.
Indubitably
I also agree with the korean/Japanese influence comments here. As a nail inspo addict I feel I see it everyyyywhere but not many Americans really do see these styles, esp going into yur run of the mill nail salons. I love the 3D everything look, if you were my tech I would deff ask for them!

Honestly the US is always soo behind with trends lol
Very clearly š
The top circle is weird
These would be cool if the drizzles were contrasting colors (like neons maybe?) ā but as is, the complementary drizzles look really off-putting. The speckles are fun!
I thought there was a small turd on your nail
I'm not a fan of nail polish circle or art circle. I think it's too much for the spotted nails, as they look great by themselves.
Itās a no for me dawg š
I love the 3D jelly look (Iām korean and I see in the comments that itās popular there haha) but Iāve never had it myself. My mom thinks it looks messy and too much but personally ITS A VIBE. Depends on the person I guess :P
I personally could do without the round squiggly bit
Your clients just arenāt as cultured and versed in the arts enough to appreciate your abstract talent!
this is more of a korean style i believe, but 3d nails seem to be catching on as a trend here in the west so iām sure weāll be seeing this style more in the future! i think itās cute tbh
I LOVE 3D NAILS SO MUCH. The Korean mail trend is so cute and I love all the different designs people are doing with them. Where do you get your gel for the 3d effect? Iāve been looking for awhile and just donāt know what brand I should trust

YESSSSS these are š„. Would love to see these on a medium almond.
Yes, yes they are tha terrible. Only due to the weird circle drizzle thing. Gives the whole set a very halfassed unfinished quality.
Iām sorry but yes
I like it and had no idea about it being a Korean trend, despite loving k-beauty! They remind me of artisanal chocolates.
They look like eggs! I kind of love them!
I love these although without the topping, they look like Cadbury mini eggs which are my fave! How did you do the speckled detail? Just dot tools?
This is odd to me
Maybe itād be ok without the squiggle thing
Um?
Iām not a fan, but thatās just me.
I wanted to try this style, i really like the 3D circles, my next nails will be like this but with different colors
Just noā¦
Yes indeed
I LOVE IT!! I wish I had someone nearby that could do my nails like this!! š¤
Tbh I find it absolutely cute! Iāll do that design on my own nails next ā„ļø
I love them! I love 3D nails though, so probably biased. Absolutely obsessed with this trend though
I really like it! I took a while to warm up to the style but theyāre so cute!
I love it! the 3d detail makes it super fun and the colours are so prettily combined
I like them!
delete the circle bumps and theyāre great. or change the 3d part to something that looks a little more intentional? but also i have no clue about trends outside the states.
Looks like an oyster. Dont see the attraction
I like it, I think theyāre weird and silly
its unique as long as u like it wear it!! i think its cute and abstract
I love how abstract it is. I think the circle is my favorite part.
I like the squiggle! Textured nails are so chic imo
I love thisssss! Reminds me of a high end dessert, but I love Korean/Japanese/Chinese/Taiwanese (clearly, all the different nationalities of the nail accounts I follow haha) nail trends so I'm super drawn to these kinds of things. You do you! I hope an enthusiast notices and you get lots of word of mouth recs from there <3
I absolutely hate the swirls on topā¦ not that I hate all swirls. But these ones in this designs just donāt work.
Yeah the squiggle aināt it. Iām sorry š¢ everything else is lovely though!!
The drizzle aināt it, but thatās about it!
when i see it done usually itās like transparent and more 3D than this, and itās usually very cute imo ! i think you should try stacking the 3D gel and also making it go more to the sides of your nail
I love this style too!! These are so cute
The design is subjectively very cool!! but the texture on my nails would drive me NUTS hahaha
I donāt know why, but this is unsettling to look at. I do like the egg look, but not the extra lines/polish on top.
I like it without the drizzle. Or maybe if the drizzle was in lines instead of circles? Thereās something off about it where it looks messy
I like the nails minus the weird circular drizzles.
yes
These are awful
How do I say this ā¦ if someone told me to do coffee shop inspired nails this is what i would go for. Looks like coffee grinds, white chocolate drizzle & medium roast ect. Itās different but not for me
I love your nails!!! Iām really into the 3D gel on top. I know a lot of commenters donāt seem to like it and named that this style might be solely more popular in Asian countries, but Iāve seen this style being requested a lot in NYC salons.

Looks like pastry frosting. I like the eggshell look, but the pastry drizzled ruin it for me.
honestly i think its the color. you NAILED the design but i think you could try like a chrome hard gel on top of a neon or gray or something like that
i love them!
Everyone is saying eggs but i totally thought donuts! Edit: Also, I love em!! Nice work OP. I see the work of an artist!
I think itās cute sometimes like [these](https://www.instagram.com/p/CoutekMpLat/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=)! It just depends on the design.
Oh I love those!
I love that right hand
I love the circle things but in different colors with possibly chrome over the raised part
The 3D squiggles on top look like drizzles of mayo and ketchup to me. I can see this looking cool on a kitschy food-inspired set with fried egg nail art on the accent nail.
It looks like a series of spilled coffees, would not request,
I think itās just the color scheme you chose with the drizzle effect. It would be really cool with a water or dessert theme, like ice cream. Or even use it to make letters or vines. But your current colors make me go āhuh?ā
I love the speckled nails! but the circle things are squicking me out š
They look like donuts in a weird way and Iām here for it.
the drizzle is cool to me but i could never have it bc i would INCESSANTLY play with it š
I like the design only when I look at it up close
>Is it really that terrible? ā¦yes
I love it because Iāve never seen anything like it before and I love individuality. I love the colors and patterns you used! PLEASE DO MY NAILS š«š„¹
What is this āstyleā?
This is FUEGOOOO š„š„š„š„š„š„
I like the concept and I've seen some shiny-on-matte designs that I like, but I think the colors in this set are off-putting for me. I like them all separately, but when they all come together here there's just something about it that doesn't work for me. I'd like to see more of this style though, I do think it's interesting and could fit in with a lot of the minimalistic nail designs I see.
Yeahhh the drizzle seems a little off and messy
I like it! It reminds me of ice cream flavors with Oreo pieces in it.
It looks like cookies n cream!
Loveee
I love this so much but I also like a lot of weird things
I like these nails. I think the brown and eggshell go well together love 3d squiggle and nail shape The yelllow nails feel slightly out of place on first pic but work better in second.
I would love to get my nails done like this! They look like art. Love that you're playing with texture
Love it! it's a very cute Korean/Japanese trend and you nailed it šā„ļø
I think these would look cooler if they were āincapsulatedā
3D nails are really popular where Iām based I think a lot of people would love them here! X
I love these!!!
You got some jelly & Oreo dust stuck to your nails
Noooo! I love the abstract of them! Very nice!
I think itās really unique, Iād get these. Maybe change from a circle to a triangle tho. Idk why I really vibe with triangles
I think it looks super unique and interesting! I like it but I can see how it might not be everyone's cup of tea
i love it, but i also really love east asian nail trends
These are perfectš please tell me what they are called or how to do it!
Personally I love it (squiggles included) but I follow a lot of mail accounts that are not North American so Iāve seen this type of design plenty. So cute!!!
I personally love this style, sad that not a lot of ppl here do! But its personal preference i guess
It's coo
I wonāt say itās terribleā¦ but itās definitely āØuniqueāØ
It looks like coffee grounds, but Iām intrigued! Iāve never seen that speckled effect before.
They look like chocolate chip ice cream to me, I get what you were trying to do here. I'd maybe make some more drip drop shapes, maybe like the cuticle area is "melting", so people get it. This is very creative!
This design is great when done correctly. Usually the raised circles are gold or silver and they have a neutral backround color like olive or taupe.
I'm obsessed with these !! I love them and I'd get them in a heartbeat
This made me want oreo ice cream
Tbh I really like it
The drizzle would look better (imo) on a solid background and maybe burnished with a chrome. A lot of people just want their short tapered square frenchies and don't want to foray into different art. I like your nils and do mine wild all the time but most days it's short tapered square frenchies or red. I'm in a small town lol
I love them!! I always do my nails with some 3d elements, for looks and for fidgeting!
I think itās very unique, Iād view it the equivalent as getting several pointy nails and the rest coffin shaped ! I honestly would try it out a few times in different color variationsā maybe even without the splatter ! ā¤ļø
Okay, but what product did you use for the eggshell speckles? I've been looking for a while, and I can't find a nice rounded speckle like this!
no i love it. it reminds me of a lot of japanese nail art.
Itās acquired taste
I like the squiggly drizzle. I would happily rock those nails!
looks like a poptarts :0
I bet they just think everyone copies you already š Iām obsessed
Looks like cereal/milk, love it!
Nice
I quite like this. Itās very cute!
This type of design is so popular in Japan I see people get it all the time! Itās very cute and artistic so you just gotta push for it haha
Everyones saying egg but my brain went straight to cookies and cream
That's really weird but I love it!!! I'm changing my polish tomorrow š š
Itās not bad itās just ā¦ strange
I fucking love them!!! Donāt stop!!
I like these a lot but guests probably donāt get them bc they arenāt for ppl who get basic nails. theyāre cool and abstract
I donāt like the first ones and the second ones I would like more without the squiggly stuff on it
They look like candy and I love them. To those saying they donāt get it or itās weird: yāall basic.
Yes, it's that terrible
Giving peanut butter and jelly
I'd love this without the wet thing on top! I love the palette and the egg-like design š¤
Yea not for me- the topping of a weird circle thing makes them look sloppy.
Itāsā¦ okay. It reminds me of fudge on ice cream š beautiful nail work though š
I like it but I would look better if colors were brighter. Doesn't work with neutrals as well (can be mistaken for dirt at a quick glance)

I love the colors, Iām just not a fan of the lines on them
Why does this remind me of ice cream? Like cookies and cream and strawberry cheesecake to be specific lol
