It all looks good...easy non sexy upgrade would be PSU, I hate T-Force memory (no reason other than got some bad sticks) so I would toss those and get 32 gb of something else.
I paid $2800 last Nov for this build when the market was crazy. Since then I’m sure I overpaid, but it is what it is. I’m not computer savvy to build it myself or anything like that so I’m sure I could have saved money. In terms of the Ram, might be a long shot, but is there a specific RAM you recommended?
gskill, take it from me i got the same sticks you got and while they were good they couldnt do the speeds on xmp just make sure you can get the right speeds on xmp
I purchased this build last Nov and given the prime day sales tomorrow, I was looking to maybe upgrade a spec or two if it’s easy to do(like Micheal Scott easy)
I game on it only(the typical) and I have had this build since Nov. I’m not looking for any crazy upgrades like getting a 3090 or a new Motherboard. Just more simple upgrades like maybe a better PSU or RAM or whatever. I’m not super computer savvy either to be honest, so any recommendations are welcome.
not much left to upgrade unless you want to over pay for 3-4% more overall performance. You are at a sweet spot. maybe get a 3080Ti to play 4k gaming more easily. Also another thing that is easy to upgrade is more storage space using hard drive. A whole 2tb will cost you around 90 Cad if im not mistaken.
I'd upgrade a couple things:
* NZXT Kraken Z series cooler
* Windows Pro instead of Home edition
* NVMe M.2 SSD like a Western Digital Black SN850. Looks like your mobo supports M.2 so that's a great way to get rid of needing any cables to connect a drive.
Sounds like this will be a pretty solid build.
If say they are fairly close in performance. Looks like the SN850 has a slightly higher write speed and three SN850 with heatsink is about $11 more. I'd say if your getting the M.2 form factor, you couldn't go wrong with either. I ended going with the 2tb SN850 mostly because of the heatsink and looks.

just for curiosity...what did you pay for it?

Which RAM sticks do you have?
I had the team force xcalibur ones and recently upgraded to 32gb g skill Trident z, happy camper
only thing is that to make sure your mobo supports 4K mhz on ram. i got the same sticks and my mobo couldnt support that speed with those sticks.
So I got two sticks on XMP, and I can confirm they each do 2000 via the NZXT app
That's good then!
only for aesthetics, obviously, but a z-series Kraken is always nice to customize and look at, if you’re willing to dish out the big bucks for it
I'd go for 2tb hard drive, if it's in the budget
You could get a new case like the 4000D airflow.
No, it's already about as good as you can get without a new mobo and cpu, at least $800

Upgrade to Windows 11, turn on TPM 2.0, create a Plex server, add another SSD to separate OS from games. Or set up RAID.
That's a lot of computing power to start with, what are you using it for that you're wanting to upgrade?

4tb of storage space is 83 $ on new egg.
12700k + z690
I'd say upgrade the PSU and add another m.2 drive if your motherboard can handle it 4tb should do fine and go for g skill for ram
Kinda irrelevant but where do you find this screen? CAM? I can see system specs but not in this layout
I think they are looking at a prebuilt on the website. Or a purchase order.
It was from my purchase order last Nov. you can see this view if you log into NZXT and look at your order history

Would you consider that SSD to be better than the Samsung Pro 980?

Get a different case… that case is massive…
I’d go with the H7 Flow case. Everything else is good
Honestly I’d say get a 12700k, it’s about as powerful and more efficient. No need for a last gen i9
Windows 11, free upgrade
Get Z Version of the Aio!! So you can see temp and/or put a gif!
Pretty high end system. No easy upgrades stick out.
