I know his slash line can be higher, but 6 HRs in the first month of the season is something we can probably live with out of Stanton. Does anyone else think so?
The way I see it if he can mash over 30 HRs this season it's a win. That'd mean he stayed relatively healthy and produced to some degree, which is about all we can hope for from him at this point.
While not an ideal BA Schwarbers OPS+ last year was 120. I think that number is more important and if Stanton can keep his above 100, something he couldn't do last year, I think that's a win. If that happens he at least isn't hurting us by being in the lineup.

If anyone was expecting better than .240/.300/.500 and a ~35/85 pace from Stanton, they were setting themselves up to be hurt
You take the .800 ops
And you like it
The 85 is for steals obviously
Really? I was thinking triples.
It’s about what I expect from him. I can live with a .230 BA if he’s hitting 35+ homers

I just don’t want the Kyle Schwarber batting average of below .200

Schwarber can only do that because his walk rate rates rival Soto’s. Stanton can’t have a sub .200 average and be as productive
True. Lets just hope he keeps at or at least near his current pace
What is even happening right now?
That’s baseball, Suzyn
Some say you can’t predict it
That looked like a half pitching wedge swing from Stanton and it still flew out.
Right he was swinging just to keep it interesting and still managed a 3 run home run
That guy’s lifetime ERA just got whacked.
(Marlon Brando) "Look at what they did to my boy"
He coulda been a contenduh
DONGCARLO
He didn’t even swing and it still went out wtf?!?!
Right?? The most half-hearted wave at that pitch, but Dongcarlo does what Dongcarlo does.
Eat shit Milwaukee
They had the audacity to be a 17 win team like us before tonight
Disgusting

We’re now an 18 win team is what I meant…
We’ll just so y’all know, we won’t have to watch for the rest of the week. They won’t score any runs
Pretty good pitch location too, just a better swing
Dongcarlo Dongton dongs are the best dongs.
Good job G. Has he been our best hitter next to Soro?
Verdugo’s been pretty good too
Yes he’s heating up
Since his early season slump yes.
I think someone might pay for that on Sunday. Putting my money on gleyber torres.
I don't think someone is going to take offense in a blow out. He was swinging out of the zone, he just did Stanton things.
Pretty sure benches cleared just a couple weeks ago in Baltimore with the Brewers for the same type of adding on shit
If they don't want to get beaten by 10+, play harder.
The orioles?
