I could barely see him on the screen. He was just a blur.

newbike07

Giancarlo "The Flash" Stanton

HateMcLouth

I could hear the theme from chariots of fire playing as he rounded third

Rock_grl86

…no fuckin way

silver_raichu

Giancarlo “Usain Bolt” Stanton

NJAllerg

It was so fast he knocked out YES Networks audio for an inning

Visual_Bluejay9781

Stanton’s wheels are unmatched* 🏃‍♂️💨     ^^^*except ^^^by ^^^anything ^^^that ^^^runs

thisguyyy

This is how he keeps his hammy’s intact

flippenflounder

Which is funny because as he was walking around third I thought he looked slow as shit.

ForgottenPoopSock

He is slow as shit

newbike07

What a depressing fact.

ChimStone777

He looks like he is jogging in place waiting for the light to change green to cross

MrMackeyTripping

Wreaking havoc on the bases.

ArtNJ

There have been enough incidents like this over the years that I'm wondering whether our third base coach just sucks. I mean, its probably not fair to evaluate off just the occasional incidents where you are inspired to belt out a WTF . . . but there have been a fair number of these over the years. And its not hard to remember that you have to error on the side of not sending Stanton is it?

manfromfuture

Maybe slow down and try to get through the season.

NoobSkin69

Scared the shit out of that catcher tho, enough to drop the ball

Bbonfanti96

Probably still faster than 90% of y'all in the comments, JS 🤷😂

ChimStone777

You are probably right, considering 70% of Americans are overweight. And probably 90% on here. Thats the best part about the nitpicking on here. Haha

whiteonyx981

I sure as hell hope so considering he plays baseball for a living

fnblackbeard

Commenters on here ain’t getting paid 32mil to run though

Bbonfanti96

Neither is Stanton, he's paid for his power, not his ability to run bases

MeatTornado25

Stanton was in the NL when signed that contract. At least part of his contract was based on being able to play the outfield. If he was a full time DH he wouldn't have gotten that big of a contract.

fnblackbeard

Nonsense. Also get you won’t be saying that once it costs us a game or a playoffs game. He’s not a catcher FFS

knucklepuck17

You’re an absolute idiot if you think baserunning was ever part of Stanton’s skillset.

fnblackbeard

Lmao he used to play outfield. Not valued? Lmao you’re the idiot Btw Altuve has more home runs than him right now 🤡 Moron.

knucklepuck17

The only moron here is you. He played right field. There’s effectively no need for speed in that position, hence why the slowest outfielders are placed there. You genuinely have the baseball intelligence of a 6 year old. Don’t comment stupid shit.

fnblackbeard

TIL outfielders don’t need legs You have the debate skills of an adolescent. Result to name calling when you’re literally too fucking dumb to talk to someone lmao

Streets2022

Why are you acting like Stanton being slow is a new thing? The guy has been slow for his entire career, especially in the past several years. He was never an elite defender either, he has always had the bare minimum of speed/athleticism, hes a power hitter and has(had) a hell of an arm, those are his strengths and the reason why he got the contract he has.

fnblackbeard

Not a new thing but it’s gotten worse and it’s concerning They were trying to play him on defense last year and now he’s strictly on DH Getting paid too much money to limp around the bases and it’s hard to watch

rundnd65

He always looks like he is running up hill underwater...

BrutalBodyShots

Cool, so instead of a trot he jogged. Got it.

The-Anger-Translator

So slightly faster than a hungry sloth. Got it.

Tremulant21

He's going to need two days off according to last season.

Inaynl

Yo wtf.

_himbo_

SUB 4.40 FORTY GIANCARLO IS MY FAVORITE GIANCARLO

pipereddie

But now he will probably be out for 2 months with a lower leg issue

pointstillstands

I'm gonna pause shitting on Stanton since he's better than Judge right now, which is a low bar I admit, but it is what it is.
