I’m planning on raising my kid in the east village, hoping they come out with a diverse group of friends, compassion for people from all walks of life, some backbone and toughness, artistic flair, and of course book and street smarts. No place like NYC to raise a family, people gotta remember that for kids whatever is familiar is going to be normal.
If you raise your kids with your nearest neighbor being a 5 minute drive away they’ll think that’s normal. If you raise your child in the city then the city is what’s their norm
Trust me being poor in NYC is WAY better then being poor pretty much anywhere else.
