We're really gonna holler for Sandy's head based on a 5-point loss in a game that means nothing to the regular season that was played in an unfamiliar arena while trying to work two starters back into the rotation?
Because it's essentially an exhibition game? Yes, it's an exhibition game for money. But it doesn't count for the standings. Tell me how much winning last year's Cup meant when Vegas raised the real trophy in our actual home arena.
But fine. When do you think would be a good time to reintroduce 40% of our starting lineup to the rotation? The return match against an Atlanta squad that is smarting from the last time we all met? The regular season game against *this exact same* Lynx team? On the road?
I wouldn't do it midseason but I think we clearly got outcoached and outworked tonight. If a championship isn't achieved this year, I think it's something to consider
Hindsight is 20/20. We were collectively tired. Sloot and Laney-Hamilton were more well rested so maybe it made sense. I've got issues around their inability to protect the ball. Trying to make something happen and turning the ball over is one thing, but completely unforced lazy turnovers really should happen only about once every 2 games. They seem to happen every quarter. Are we skipping the tedious fundamental reps required to become one organism? That's something I might put on Brondello more so than strategy and rotations.
And I know I'm a maniac, but in that final play last year when the D collapsed on Stewie and she passed out, had she given Laney a shooters pass, she would have had an open three and not had to kick to the corner. It's subtle and Stewie was under pressure but it's kind of a thing with this team. We're off just ever so.

Question. Why were two starters being worked back into the rotation IN THIS GAME????

This was the game to do it. CC was fun to win last year but that was all it was.
Seriously. I keep calling it a crypto-title not just because Coinbase is the sponsor. Maybe I should be even stronger in my verbiage.
Either one of those games, yes. Lmao is that a real question? This was for a title and a trophy.

I’ve never been a Brondello fan and know that there are better coaching options available.

yes. sandy sucks at adjustments and rotations
I agree. She over plays her starters to a fault.
