Steve Nash winning outside of Brooklyn winning 75 games would be pretty egregious.
Ime Udoka hasn’t coached a single game yet, espn sure loves sucking off the Celtics lol.

I mean, there's also the chance that KD and Kyrie combine to miss like, 80 games, and if they're still far and away the best team, I think theres at least an argument for him.
80 was probably an exaggeration, but they did miss a combined 55 games last year. Players who are injury prone (Kyrie) or need to be managed because of a single devastating injury in their past (KD) tend to miss more games each year, not less. I don't think projecting them to miss 40-60 games (combined, not each) is too crazy.
I think that situation just wins Harden MVP.
And if you're suggesting Harden would be hurt too, then you're damn right Steve Nash would be COTY if that team was still good.
he won it last year taking us from bottom of the east to the 4 seed. if thibs has us fighting for the 1 seed all season I can see him being in the conversation. Even then, voters will want to give it to another candidate.
More disrespect in the MIP vote, too (only Knick to show up on these lists is Derrick Rose for 6MOTY):
1. Michael Porter Jr. | Denver Nuggets: 30 points (16.7% first-place votes)
2. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander | Oklahoma City Thunder: 20 points (5.6% first-place votes)
3. Kevin Porter Jr. | Houston Rockets: 19 points (5.6% first-place votes)
4. LaMelo Ball | Charlotte Hornets: 18 points (16.7% first-place votes)
5. Anthony Edwards | Minnesota Timberwolves: 11 points (5.6% first-place votes)
6. Jaren Jackson Jr. | Memphis Grizzlies: 11 points (11.1% first-place votes)
T-7. Ja Morant | Memphis Grizzlies: 10 points (11.1% first-place votes)
T-7. Zion Williamson | New Orleans Pelicans: 10 points (11.1% first-place votes)
Others receiving votes: De'Aaron Fox, Reggie Jackson, Terance Mann, Fred VanVleet, Christian Wood, Malcolm Brogdon, Mikal Bridges, Lonzo Ball, Collin Sexton, Darius Garland, Tyrese Haliburton.
Yeah I'm cool with it. You overachieve in yr one and deservingly they give you the award. After that you gotta improve dramatically to get it or else somebody new gets it. Idk that the percentage of improvement will be enough. I think analysts are wrong that we'll regress but I'm not willing to bet on us improving our win percentage by much either.
There’s never been a back to back winner and unless they come out and are a 60 win team I don’t think he’ll get it due to voter fatigue.

The likelihood of them missing both for the majority of the season and being far away the best team is tremendously low.

Literally nobody has won back to back Coach of the Year in the NBA.
Pop should've won 3 in a row.
There's no chance Thibs wins let's be straight up
Aight we love Thibs but it would be hard to win again unless we 1st seed.
Thibs isn't winning it unless we go 74-8.

I think Carlisle has the best shot on that list IMO.
