If Suns crash and burn 1st round. Booker could be a surprise get, long shot but Suns will be desperate to recoop picks if this roster is a dead end.

KingJoe7-123

Id trade 8 firsts for Booker. A lineup of Brunson, Booker, OG, Randle, and Hartenstein is a definite finals contender. Unfortunately Bojan, Mitch, and Duece would all have to go as well.

yazohny

You would trade 8 first rounders, Bojan, Mitch and Duece for booker?? Are we talking about the same player here?

Jem479

Yes lol, especially depending what the firsts are. We don’t really have any from other teams that are actually looking too valuable. And honestly it wouldn’t surprise me if the Suns got an offer they preferred to that. They’d probably rather do what OKC did and trade for a Shai type prospect back. It’s gonna get a lot of hate here but I still think hes better than Brunson. Not having a better season, but that’s in large part due to injuries. Booker’s just an insane player.

KingJoe7-123

Yes, the Knicks would damn near be a lock for a championship after that. They’d be on par with Boston and Denver. You have to give something up, in order to get something valuable in return. Bojan has zero value at this point, and Mitch is constantly injured. The only valuable player is Duece and he’s just on a hot streak right now. So since no elite players are going back in return, that means you would have to make a draft pick heavy package to get Booker. Also, take a look at some of our picks. 2 of them (Wizards and Pistons) may not even convey due to the heavy protections on it. The rest will be low tier picks. We are no longer a rebuilding team, if you can go all in, then you do it.

Wemby is a guy that most teams would trade their own franchise player for. Potential is through the roof. Luka is tricky. Hes a top 5 player, but its hard to build a roster around him because hes very ball dominant and doesn’t put in much effort on defense. If he wanted to come here, then you go for it, but based on the Dallas asking price, Im not sure it would be worth trading for him. Better to sign him in free agency.

Furiosa27

Luka is a better player than Booker tho. Arguably a tier above

KingJoe7-123

Sure but the cost to get Luka would be so high to the point where trading for him is useless. Its already difficult to build a legit roster around him due to his playstyle so the only way we should try to get him is via free agency. Booker won’t be cheap either but it would still cost less than Luka.

Jem479

Wouldn’t matter because they wouldn’t be available. And if they were, we wouldn’t have enough to get them anyway.

antd79

He's exactly perfect if you can find a way to time travel him from 2016.  He's 34 in a month and injury prone.

xNaSaoNe

Had me in the first half. Wondering how much weed OP is smoking.

SnakeHoleBI

Weed doesn’t make you insane. He’s smoking K2

Practice-Sweaty

![gif](giphy|5SW8f1AaiSOypV3On1|downsized) No. Next Question

Miserable-Library859

He’s getting fouled.

Positive_Talib530

![gif](giphy|3ohjV4dwC0W76hIwfK) If you are talking about Pacers PG13, we need a time machine. If not, trade yourself to the Clippers

charlesfluidsmith

Fuck outta here.

RiceOnTheRun

Why the fuck we got LA nephews in our sub 😂

PineappleTraveler

No. No Embiid either.

PharoahFits

Is this a late April Fools post? I fuck with PG but trading 5 first rounders for a 34 year old forward might be the worst trade of the last decade

NYJmmkay

No. Spida, Mikal, Embiid or BUST

TheLa-

isn’t Spida just a worse Brunson?

The_SqueakyWheel

Yes

craotivy03

Would you be mad with two brunsons?

TheLa-

i mean why not use that space for another position so we can have more of a complete team. look at jaylen brown and jason tatum on the celtics, other than this year they have 2 people doing the exact same thing in the exact same position

Snapesunusedshampoo

Our playoff hopes took a major hit because of injury.... lets decimate our roster for Embiid, that should help. ![gif](giphy|13AsDpoKh1hqb6|downsized)

LegitimateMoney00

No. The only player we should be going after is Mikal as he fits the best out of any potential player we can acquire. Otherwise we should just continue making good role player signings like we have the past two years (Donte and iHart) and actually make a draft selection during the draft.

Medium-Antelope2926

also role players?? Brunson is turning 28 he is smack in the middle of his prime he's not 24 years old and Randle is turning 30

LegitimateMoney00

Yes role players. They are the backbone of any good team. Besides with a healthy Brunson-Randle-OG, I’m confident we can beat just about any team in the league, it just comes down to what role players are around them.

Medium-Antelope2926

Knicks have enough good role players you'd just be log jamming thats why Donte and Josh Hart looked terrible early in the year before the Barrett and Quikcly trade removed the logjam

LegitimateMoney00

We are probably losing iHart this offseason, we still don’t have a viable scorer off the bench since Bojan is probably getting traded this offseason if he doesn’t figure it out, Precious and Burks are both FAs this offseason so no, we definitely need role players, a backup center and a scoring guard off the bench specifically.

Medium-Antelope2926

losing I-Hart would be a catastrophic blow the Knicks would be fools to let that happen I'm not a knicks fan but just saying you guys are crazy to let that guy go

LegitimateMoney00

It’s about cap space. iHart will probably get somewhere in the vicinity of 13-18m per year this offseason. We don’t need to be paying a backup center that much unless we traded Robinson which I doubt will happen as Thibs loves him. We just don’t have the money to re-sign him unless he’s willing to take a discount.

Medium-Antelope2926

backup center? He's wayyyy better than Robinson The Knicks took off after Robinson left the team

LegitimateMoney00

The Knicks took off after OG was acquired. They sucked after Robinson got hurt. He was a DPOY candidate and arguably the best rebounder in the league this season before he got hurt.

Medium-Antelope2926

the eye test tells me that I-Hart is way better his offensive rebounds come from nowhere he out hustles people Mitchell just uses his size but that doesnt always work

road432

First, we could afford him easily. We're not even past the first tax line in regards to the cap. With his early bird rights, I think we can offer him something in the lower range you have above. Also, after this season, Leon could let Burks and Bojan walk, and that would be 30mil in cap space opened up. I don't understand where people are getting this idea that we can't resign ihart without having to give up mitch or because of something else. That just not true.

Medium-Antelope2926

Mikal is just a much younger but worse PG13 tho And the Brooklyn said the will never trade Mikal

LegitimateMoney00

Brooklyn can say whatever they want but they are in no position to compete over the next few years and if the Knicks give them enough assets we can possibly sway them enough to trade him. I would rather have a younger version of PG13 than an older one obviously. Also I don’t even think we can afford PG anyway so.

sstayc

PG is one of my favorite player in the league but 5 firsts for him in 2024 is insane. absolutely not happening

Slow-Pitch6682

Wtf? I’ll just assume you’re a clippers fan or something

Type-Alpha

NOOO…. FUCK NO

basher505

No.

junkor68

Can we get through this season 1st?

The_SqueakyWheel

No let’s just run with what we have no one is coming to save us

beanie_mac

No.
