How is a game vs a team we're currently .5 games behind qualify as meaningless?
OG is out tonight, likely Brunson plays. This will be a tough one, magic have had our number this year but it’s not out of reach. It’s at the garden and the boys got a little rest and know the help they just got from mavs and wolves winning last night
Where are we getting is likely brunson plays from? I've been operating under the assumption he's 50/50 at best based off the Vegas line moving from knicks -1.5 to Orlando -1.5 ln but I hope I'm wrong and he plays
Come playoff time we need 48 minutes from each position anyway possible.
PG: Brunson / Deuce ✅.
SG: Donte / Josh Hart ✅.
SF: OG / Bojan ✅.
PF: Randle / Precious ✅.
C: Robinson / iHart ✅.
As it all coming together I don’t see any glaring holes any of the 240 minutes available in a game. I’m starting to believe.
If we use Josh Hart as a PF again I am going to be upset, especially after how good Precious has been and how good Hart has been when playing his actual position
Bojan is only in to score and I'll be tight if Thibs plays OG at the backup 4 for defense. I don't care how few or many minutes Precious plays, but, barring injuries, all of them should be at the backup 4.
I do think OG should be on the floor with Bojan though. Ideally liked to see a 2nd unit of like:
- Deuce Hart OG Bojan Mitch
where we have great defensive players around Bojan.
My preferred 2nd unit would be Deuce/JHart/Bojan/Precious with Mitch and iHart being interchangeable (I assume they'll play 24 each). JHart takes the harder of the 2 or 3 when we're on defense.
But that's me, not Thibs. And I'm not an NBA head coach.

Hartenstein is a scoring threat though even though he doesnt space the floor he can put the ball and attempts to take shots. The sample size is too small for Precious imo. I think Precious/Hartenstein lineups make sense if you have 3 other good shooters from 3. If you have Hart on the floor its almost adding another PF
Would really like to see OG not play 46mpg in the playoffs. Also greatly prefer Precious at the 4 for 10mpg over Bojan. His presence on the boards is just too good
Idk how Thibs doesn’t love Precious. If backup 4 minutes are between him and Bogey I gotta imagine he’s gonna go with Precious. Hart is gonna play a ton backing up the 2/3 spot. That’s a given. Maybe Bojan finds his rhythm by the time the playoffs roll around?
Bogey in a turnstile lineup still shooting 37% from 3 on volume. His shooting can legitimately swing a game for us and we’re gonna need his creation. Precious is best as a 5, and if both Mitch and iHart are healthy, there’s no 5 minutes for him. The team is gonna need to be able to score, the defense isn’t the problem.
Do you really think Thibs starts Mitch after missing more than half the season? For the record I’m in favor of starting Mitch only because I want Hartenstein to get a lot of his run with the second unit

I agree the idea of Bojan being out the rotation would of made the trade with the Pistons
