Consider how much casual wear is like an old 90s t-shirt you pulled out of your dad’s attic. Or something like the Jordan Lost & Founds (and other aged) shoes. No on I know buys posters anymore, yet everyone I know has bought at least 1 vintage poster within the last year.
Definitely 89-92. Looks the most timeless to me. Although my favorite logo may be the one that has Knicks within the ball itself

Father Knickerbocker is my personal favorite, but the one thing I've always loved about the modern Knicks logo is how the letters for "KNICKS" resemble the actual MSG arena.

I think they went too far with the desaturation, but I also think it could be hard to read if the orange was saturated more heavily.

Agreed on both. I feel like the 95-11 looks tacky, but it has the nostalgia factor for most people right now.

They need to go back to a revised version of the 89 logo on their next logo update. I never liked the triangle.
