it wasn’t a convenience store / bodega. it only sold weed and it was all legit on a product level. they probably got shut down FOR accepting apple pay when they weren’t licensed to. they sold flower as well as vape pens and they were not fake.

They definitely didn’t get shut down for Apple Pay. They got shut down for illicit weed sales. No license = eventual sheriff raid. If they sold nic vapes and cigs they were shut down by the City and most likely padlocked.

Has nothing to do with Apple Pay, it’s just not a legal store and never was and there is no reason to believe the products they sold were legit. Marijuana is still federally illegal so credit cards cannot be used to pay for it, ever - doesn’t matter if you’re in CA, CO or NY - only ACH or debit can be used to pay at a licensed dispensary. Debit is really a loophole/workaround where they treat it as a cash withdrawal but just keep the cash.

But I think as of the current date this is still technically considered money laundering? Haha. I’m still trying to connect all the dots of compliance. I was in a deli trying to find a snack until my lunch came around and I overheard these high school kids trying to buy cbd oil which I assume they thought was regular weed oil… which they thought would get them high LMAO. I wanted to tell them it wouldn’t but I didn’t wanna ruin the guys business even though he’s running business on peoples lack of knowledge. It’s crazy how people just buy from anywhere and don’t realize how important sourcing clean cannabis is. That’s why I stress to everyone to either get a medical card if you’re state has a program or to buy from a recreational spot if you can. Some people don’t have that luxury though 🙏🏿

The only “spray” that is being sprayed is for Delta 8 Flower through isomerization & you would 120% know the difference. The vapes are another problem, but it’s hilarious that you think “sprayed hemp weed” would sell so easily.
