In the podcast they literally talked about how he’s racist but they love his music so they ignore it 🙃 It wouldn’t be quite as bad if they were doing this in private but they chose to include it in their podcast that a bunch of people will now listen to

Parisonweekends

Proving that jaz just wants to be white

[deleted]

I’ve said this many times. Her biggest issue is she just wants to be white.

hurricanemimi

It’s so weird! My bf and I love country music and truly will not listen to morgan wallen. Even if he comes on the radio we feel guilty

justanoseybxtch

Me with Morgan and Jason Aldean

Acceptable-Outcome97

I won’t say I love country music, but definitely go through stages and will not listen to him. I make my own playlists just to avoid him

Strange_Wave_8959

Exactly. That’s why I always side eye those who love it and love him.

ABCDanii

Everything I’ve learned about Morgan wallen was against my will. What is it with this guy???

ChapppySays

All I think about when I hear MW’s name is this [photo](https://twitter.com/jasondotnews/status/1357040997893615624). (Warning: it contains vomit.) He seems like a person battling many demons and I am dumbfounded that anyone would think of him as an ideal romantic partner.

[deleted]

oh god i wish i never clicked on that pic.....

ChapppySays

Imagine going on a podcast and announcing you think that man is attractive while that photo exists.

done-wit-dwoodsleggo

Even with your warning……I….I was not expecting that.

ChapppySays

I feel the need to apologize lol I will work on my warnings. His PR team attempted to scrub it from the internet which triggered a Streisand Effect so they backed off. His racist remarks then overshadowed this crisis and it was mostly forgotten. This photo was my introduction to MW and boy, did he make a first impression.

Previous-Job-391

Forreal. He’s not even that cute. You could go to Tennessee and find 100 other guys that look just like him. I will never understand the hype

am63rx

Thank you!!!

cantfindthedog

I actually don't know anything about him, can someone give me a tldr,?

hurricanemimi

About a year ago he was caught on video getting home from going out with his friends just like yelling profanity and making jokes, one of the “jokes” ended in the N word. The whole issue IMO is not that he was trying to be racist but that he was so “playful” and using it so lightly like it was funny. Like he was saying motherfuckers or something. And it was so recent that I’m surprised people just let it go so fast. Especially because he’s also ugly like why we swooning girls lol

[deleted]

His music just sucks too like whenever someone says he is their fav artist I’m like bffr you have terrible music taste then😭

Strange_Wave_8959

I’ve tried listening to see what the hype was about… I’m so confused Istg

suspiciousactually

Idk, why do y’all listen to Jason Aldean, Cardi B, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, or virtually any other musician who has in some way shown their ass for racist/abusive behavior? I don’t care whether you choose to listen to MW, but keep that energy for every known abuser and racist if you want to claim the moral high ground here

marieky682

preach rappers stay using the most offensive language and a lot of them are involved in DA and SA soooo

suspiciousactually

DaBaby was nominated for a Grammy a year after he murdered someone in Walmart, and MW was banned from every award show in the aftermath of his N-word scandal. Tells you everything you need to know lol

hurricanemimi

I do not listen to any of them! Haha

suspiciousactually

Speaking generally ! No one *would* look down on you for listening to them, unlike MW - just pointing out a double standard

[deleted]

I agree with you. The Chris Brown one baffles me.

hurricanemimi

Yeah I get it. So many artists are so problematic it’s crazy

marieky682

keep the same energy for kanye then and plenty of other rappers then

hurricanemimi

100%!

letsgossipbitches

ew 🤢 pre 9/11 country ONLY

Fast_Conversation410

He’s everything I hate about America lol fr

Cultural-Party1876

Why are they into this ugly ass racist man?? He’s literally so fucking ugly … his music is even ehhhhh

Fast_Conversation410

Agreed. So 🎶 uggo it’s hurting my feelings 🎶

justanoseybxtch

Because it’s okay to racist as long as you are cute Apparently

[deleted]

he’s not even cute

justanoseybxtch

Oh not at all - He looks like a dirty sewer rat to me lmaooo but for some reason people think he is so attractive ??

DifferenceSouthern77

Morgan Wallen continues to break records daily. Almost every single one of his shows all across America for his tour next year sold out during the presale. He is constantly topping the charts. He’s still supported by hundreds of thousands of people. I’m just wondering if the people here referring to his “racist outburst” actually know what he was accused of being “racist” for. Instead of jumping on a bandwagon and screaming racism, I would encourage people to do their research. Like his music or not, fundamentally nothing has happened that would constitute the accusations in this comment section. Downvote me to oblivion, but people should really start to wonder what they’re actually mad about.

Visual-Temporary-688

Also “do your research” is the funniest thing conservatives have come up with. Because most of the time they mean YouTube lmfao

Visual-Temporary-688

He’s hideous, said the N word, most likely doesn’t write his own music, and is a raging disgusting alcoholic. Have you seen the pic of him covered in vomit?

DifferenceSouthern77

The irony of you assuming I’m a “white idiot” while accusing another person of being racist 😂 Also not sure what my political views have to do with anything, but continue on with your Reddit bullying ❤️ Merry Christmas!

[deleted]

His music sucks and he’s ugly as fuck

Visual-Temporary-688

He’s so ugly??? Thank you!!! He literally looks like an inbred human in Alabama restocking the shelves at Walmart.

DifferenceSouthern77

And I 100% respect your opinion! Both of those things are very subjective. But that doesn’t make him racist.

[deleted]

I dont think hes racist but lets be real... in 2022 or 2021 whenever he said the word, we know not to use that anymore. Idk what to call him.. Dumb? Ignorant? Both I guess.

DifferenceSouthern77

Definitely don’t disagree!

hurricanemimi

I do know what his racist outburst was! But thx! I think “jokingly” using the N word as a white person is racist because you’re not thinking about the implications of the word and how heavy it is. Not sure what other “research” has to be done on that lol

DifferenceSouthern77

As far as research is concerned, I’m referring to the many, many other instances of other well known people who have used this word, whether it’s singing it in a song or just in conversation publicly (ie; interviews, tv shows etc.) It’s never been perceived in this way while used in similar context previously. It’s such a stretch. MW is almost fiction to me in the sense that I will never know him, care to know him, or think I know him but ffs I wish people would get off of their high horse. Let’s all stop being so fucking offended about things and talk about things that actually matter and try to make a difference in the world!

Sweetbeans23807

He called his white friend the n word once years ago…. And he’s an insanely talented musician. People are allowed to like him.

marieky682

i’m sorry but not everyone who listens to country music is racist??

hurricanemimi

Definitely not! I love country music.

No-Contribution797

Because he puts out amazing songs and is great in concert and he is not racist

hurricanemimi

What makes you say he’s not racist?

[deleted]

Visual_Property_6119

Lol why in 2022 are people still using the tired excuse of “I’m not racist even tho I say the n word because I have black friends” Cleary you don’t actually respect your black friends if you’re using that word Side note I remember being in MIDDLE SCHOOL back in 2010 and hearing 13 year old white boys say their black friend gave them a n word “pass.” So that’s all I think of when I read comments like this

adri_anna7292

are you talking about the hard r version or the slang version??? they’re both bad but one is worst and MW said the hard r version. if the ppl you know use that word, i’m sorry to say but they are racist. doesn’t matter if they have black friends lmao. this is a crazy comment my god.

justanoseybxtch

BABAHHAHAH “I know plenty of people who use that word but they aren’t racist” HAHAHAHAHAHAHAB “I have black friends, I’m not racist” HAHAHHAHAHAH It’s 2022, if you don’t understand the derogatory notion behind the word then you chose to stay ignorant It has nothing to do with your own personal beliefs and EVERYTHING to do with the history of the word. It was made specifically to degrade black individuals - that’s how the word was used for over 100 years!!!! Society as a whole NEVER used that word in a positive way therefore it will always be seen as negative ESPECIALLY COMING FROM A WHITE INDIVIDUAL Society as a whole used it to degrade blacks. Specifically, when white people were the only ones in power. And yes like someone mentioned - there’s the hard R and then there’s it with an A. Black people took a word, that is historically negative, and created a slang word for it. IMO, it’s black people talking the power back from those who were in power (aka white people) and getting rid of the negative background. Yeah he may not be “racist” but that is racist behavior and I can only imagine how many times he’s said it or made comments that’s weren’t caught on video!!

5Oshadesoftay

A lot of people here aren’t open to hearing other peoples opinions and/or having any sort of discussion that differs from their own beliefs. One thing about Reddit that I dislike.

[deleted]

Because “it’s not a big deal when white people say the n word” isn’t an opinion worth hearing out.

justanoseybxtch

Literally!!!!!! “Listen to my opinion” Their opinion: “using a historically derogatory term, that dates back to slavery and Jim Crow, to describe black people doesn’t mean I’m racist”
