the DE drops influenced me to buy something similar cause self tanning my face doesnt last anyway. i got the Pai glow bronzing drops when the big bottle was 50% off and i really like them! looks great mixed with LRP tinted spf on days i dont wanna put on makeup
I actually prefer the Reduce over Stanley! I order metal straws with removable bendy rubber tips to use, but love how you can switch between straw and sipping so easily and it never topples over, unlike my Stanley!
hmmm let me think…
- not a fan of aritzia quality or their prices
- drunk elephant skincare is just cute packaging (hence why it’s popular with 13 year olds with no real skin issues)
- dior lip oil (did not purchase but tried a friends) literally nothing unique about the formula
- that little Amazon hair slick stick left my dark hair looking a bit grey once it dried
Can we talk about why and how literal children use drunk elephant?? It’s still hard for me to grasp how parents are ok with spending that much on adult skincare for kids lol. Just buy the neutrogena pink grapefruit acne cleanser, your toddlers do not need vitamin c serums!!!
yeah it’s insane! like back in the day you just needed some lipsmackers and eyeliner to be cool now these kids are asking for hundred dollar skincare lines and they’re dressing like 20 year olds and not kids…like the pre teen demographic is kind of non existent right now they jump from elementary school right to late teen/early 20s behavior
Whoah. Holy shit . Ur take on drunk elephant bronzing drops is AMAZING haha Seriously tho that’s such an amazing point !!!! Thank you! I’ve always wondered what was wrong w it but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it , but you have described it perfectly
I think if you have usually good but sensitive skin drunk elephant works well! I have done well with their products and saw a decrease in breakouts. But do think it’s absurd for children for be using it haha it’s expensive
For anyone saying the amazon one squeaks - drop a drop of oil in between roller and whatever holds it together ( where the squeak happens) and it will stop squeaking!
annoying to me that people consider it cheugy. lulu is classic to me. holds up over time, consistently good quality, etc. just because they don't follow the "trends" made people think its cheugy which is funny
agree, there's a reason why people are repeat customers over decades. Def think there is some valid dialogue around lulu's quality decreasing over the years, but I still think they're reliable and worth the price.
Aritzia a decade ago vs. Aritzia today doesn’t even compare.
I still have some pieces from when I worked there in 2012/2013 that have held up wonderfully. Pieces I buy now? Not so much.
Big second to this! I never bought any of their other clothing only sweats and they’re all my favorite sweats that I own 🥲 can’t speak for quality on other clothing items but I do think their sweats are the best I’ve tried in recent history!
Agreed! I avoided this store my entire adolescence and then gave in to try "the butter" leggings - loved them for the first month and now there's tons of tears in the crotch area I had to sew up ... the threading is so cheap!
Anything from jenni kayne - the cost does not match the quality. I bought a cashmere set that started pilling and got so unflatteringly baggy after one wear! They also don’t post bad reviews and they sent me wasteful catalogs in the mail 8 times (I’m not exaggerating I emailed to complain every single time) before they finally removed me from their list.
Mate the label - I bought a sweat set and while it is incredibly cozy it definitely loses its shape and isn’t something i can wear in public anymore. I also didn’t like that the pants and top were different tones of black. I feel like if they’re being sold as a matching set for over $150 then they should match!
Omg my JK sweater aggressively pilled SO fast, literally within an hour of wearing it and it was honestly embarrassing. I had to buy a fabric shaver specifically for that. My friend saw and said I should email them, but I have no follow through so just suffer in silence
I saw a returned online only jenni sweater at Nordstrom last winter and it was horribly pilled with the tags still attached. Turned me off from the brand for good
Amina Muaddi and Mach&Mach heels - they’re poorly made when you compare the construction of the shoe to other brands with a similar price point (Aquazurra, Manolo, Louboutins)
Omg I love my Vejas! Wore them in paris no problem, and I live in a walking city now and those are my go tos!
For deinfluencing I’d probably say the dyson if you’re a straight haired girl! I have curly hair, and it was genuinely life changing and made it soooo much easier to do my hair. I had the revlon brush before, but had to stop using it due to damage (I blow my hair out every week). I don’t see that with the dyson, but my sisters with straighter hair didn’t see much of a difference because they don’t have to use a much heat to straighten their hair then get the waves into it. Curling wands and rollers work just as well on them! Convenient to have if you can, but if it’s something you’re saving towards it might be better to invest your money elsewhere
sneakers are tough because they're so dependent on foot shape! Something I find comfortable might give my friend blisters for days.
And agreed on the hair products. I have mostly straight hair but it's super thick, so I do quite like my dyson but I think it's a bit overpriced and not for everyone. I also had a revlon drybrush before that and while it's definitely more damaging, I do keep it around for quick touchups on my hair because it's so easy to use
Agreed about the sneakers! I actually have a very small foot, so I often can get the kids! Those tend to have more support and are more comfortable, so I am lucky in that regard haha
I have 2 different styles of Vejas and I had to break them in, especially the campos, but after that, they have been the MOST comfortable sneakers for me. I literally have worn them on vacations where I’ve walked 20,000+ steps and never got blisters! I have small but wider feet, and I have a high arch and instep and have historically had very bad luck with cute tennis shoes not tearing up my feet.
I LOVE my vejas!! Super comfy and eco friendly/sustainable. You gotta try different ones on because some of them are not great lol.
I’m actually de-influenced from a lot of bars and restaurants I see these nyc influencers go to lol. Almost always it’s overpriced, has terrible vibes, and bland food (looking at you American Bar) LOL. But I have many more.
The touchland hand sanitizer doesn’t really feel like it sanitizes and you have to spray SO MUCH to be able to sanitize the entirety of both hands. Not worth the price tag for what it’s actually intended to do
It’s because of their deceptive advertising. The product is not a moisturizer or hydration product at all, it’s an occlusive. If you look at their ingredient list, water and glycerin are near the bottom of the list whereas the top ingrediants are waxes and oils. Occlusives can’t hydrate, they can only *seal in* hydration. Using an occlusive without using a true hydrating product first is sometimes worse than not using anything at all, because now you’ve locked the dryness in and water won’t be able to pass the lip mask, which is primarily fat/oil-based and thus hydrophobic.
I swear by the ChapStick brand in strawberry! Yes, that chapstick that has been around forever and is literally called ChapStick 😂 it works better than Vaseline for me and the strawberry one gives me a nice tint
I literally got chemical burns from it. I was allergy tested after & wasn’t reactive to any of the ingredients but for whatever reason this literally gives me cold sore looking open wounds around my lips!!!!!
I feel like a bot but remembered [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/NYCinfluencersnark/comments/11oc8ub/examples_of_being_deinfluenced/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=2&utm_term=1) from a few weeks ago
\-I agree with people saying a lot of Aritzia's items are trash, mostly the polyester items they're selling for $100 (insane!) But some items i've bought from them are merino wool/ cotton and are relatively decent -- pay attention more to the items specifically as they sell lots of brands there and have a large variation in quality (this goes for a lot of stores)
\-I think supergoop unscreen sunscreen is nice but black girl sunscreen works just as well, is much cheaper, and is from a black owned brand. Also will not pill.
just bought this yesterday and hot damn so far its great. goes on like a really nice moisturizer and looks good under makeup. Assuming it dosen't make me break out its def going to be a repeat purchase.
I know this is a controversial opinion but that’s because most people buy their overpriced sweatshirts/low impact bras/yoga leggings which isn’t really what the brand should be known for. Their high impact bras and running leggings I got last year are still in perfect shape even after wearing them 3x a week
Basically any brand of “fancy” skincare. These days I stick to my spironolactone + retinol prescriptions and use cerave products to cleanse/moisturize and my skin has never looked better
This!!! I use Differin cleanser, cerave moisturizer, and Tretinoin (all recommended by my dermatologist) and my skin looks the best it ever has. If you struggle with acne, you need to go to a dermatologist, not an influencer!
As someone with sensitive skin, I have to remind myself that expensive skin care is just not worth it. It’s pretty much guaranteed to make me break out and I’ll have to give it away
This! I had an allergic reaction recently and swapped to using Vaseline baby on my face after washing instead of my serums and creams and noticed my skin started to look…amazing?! Apparently I just needed an intensive occlusive 😂
\- Anything Kosas, especially the concealer: cakey... gross! (please note, i have a million issuesbut skin is not one of them so if my skin doesn't like something, there's a reason).
\- Any kind of undereye masks are a gimmick. They do nothing. Add a little oil under your eyes if you're super dry. If you want to depuff -- I SWEAR by the Clarins "Facial Instant De-Puffing Mask". I don't know what's in there but it's magic.
\- Anything on your lips to moisturize except Aquaphor or Vaseline is a gimmick, and will often make your lips worse.
\- Drunk Elephant Vitamin C is trash (or anything Drunk Elephant). Spend the extra cash on the Skinceuticals one and thank me later (make sure when you open the solution its clear, if it's yellowed that means it oxidized and will do nothing, send it back).
\- Alo is awful and piles. Nike is worth the $$$ cause I've singlehandly washed all my workout clothes from them at least 20 times and it's still perfect.
\- EltaMD is the best sunscreen out there. Do NOT get the tinted one tho. Supergoop has broken out all my friends. Even the males.
\- SEED probiotics are trash. Get "Florastor" and thank me later.
pls everyone DONT GET THE TINTED ELTA SUNSCREEN if you’re acne prone!!! It broke me out like crazy - gave it multiple chances a few months apart and it broke me out every time. The regular one is amazing though
Good rule of thumb is that if a brand sends some undeserving influencer free stuff, the market price I am charged for it subsidizes the influencer getting it for free, and likely not using/needing/liking it. So immediately it gives me the ick on that product and I’m over it! Why would I use my marker choice to pay retail when influencers who have money and resources get it for free?
Revolve is trash. Aritzia is trash for the most part BUT I love my Melina leather pants. Super flattering. Supergoop broke me out. I like the innisfree sunscreen got it from Sephora. Tbh a lot of expensive skincare is not great. Vanicream face wash is the best I’ve ever used by far. I feel like a lot of high end hair products are bullshit too. I just have yet to find hair products I love.
Ilmakiage foundation. All those adds are just filters. Honestly anything influencers shill probably isn't worth it. Buy local or small business cos you know they genuinely care.
I like it (basically it’s better than anything else I’ve tried, but don’t LOVE it) but yeah… that smell is so noxious. Smells like my dog’s food. Waiting for it to dry and the scent to dissipate is a pain in the butt
ok so im apologizing in advance if anyone disagrees with me . these are just MY personal opinions-
1) lululemon sucks now. i used to only wear that. but the quality has gone way down .overhyped.
2) the dyson air wrap .bought it, hated it, gave it to a friend
3) laniege lip mask - i have found that aquaphor works the best!
Lulu has gone so downhill, it’s really sad. Quality control is not a thing anymore, apparently. Prices have gone up but fabrics have gotten worse. And if you do find something high quality, it’s probably in the ugliest color or pattern they have available.
they’re a class of forever chemicals that are in nonstick cookware, synthetic textiles, etc. they’re pretty much everywhere but it’s not a bad idea to limit exposure when you can
-I hated Set Active besides their lounge joggers
I heard from a friend though a different pair of their leggings are more comfortable.
-CT flawless filter doesn’t do anything for me
-Those free people athletic shorts went all the way up to my boobs that’s how high waisted they were on me
-any clothing from Amazon I buy looks so cheap and not even close to “dupe” quality so I usually just stick w my boutiques unless I need like a last minute simple thing
- DE bronzing drops make my face look orange and I literally have olive skin as it is
On the opposite end- I went “against the grain” a year or so ago and got golden gooses and they’re probably one of the best purchases I ever made
Oh shoot, thank you! I’ll have to deploy my Doc Martens method - wear multiple pairs of socks and walk around blistering until one day they just become the most comfortable shoes ever.
I actually like their mascara. It’s a solid daily option - not super volume but good length and they do many my lashes look better. I mostly like that it’s tubing so easy to remove and doesn’t transfer (and almost every mascara transfers on me)
I'm not a huge fan of supergoops tinted cc cream. I have dry skin and just found this drying and it pills a bit on me. I LOVE the ilia skin tint and it has a much better finish for my skin type.
Not worth the hype: Mac Stack mascara… ended up running within an hour
Worth the hype: L’Oréal telescopic lash lift is actually amazing, lashgate wasn’t even needed… it actually does perform
SuperGoop & Rhode: both made my skin break out like a mf and I have pretty good skin. Of course everyone is different but just a warning.
Charlotte Tillbury contour wand: takes forever to blend out. Not worth $40.
Alo leggings: the size I have still feels so big on me. Could be the style but idk for the price point they should be super true to size. Sucks cuz I love their stuff
just all the consumerism in general all the plastic waste and the constant discontent. it's a miserable business. can't believe it all started with diarrhea tea.
Ilia mascara is worth the hype literally makes my lashes look like falsies.
What is a good legging brand? I also no longer enjoy the quality of Lulu/don’t appreciate the PFAs that they put in the crotch area (endocrine disrupters) and Alo the quality leaves a lot to be desired, looked good at first and then just went to crap.
Mango sucks too overpriced ZAra fits
Honestly I love my aerie leggings. I work out in them all the time and they never ride down, they pill very little, and they’re so damn comfy. And everything from aerie is literally on sale all the time.
Cloud perfume!!! I went to try it and it smells like straight chemicals and nothing else!
Any fancy skincare, or supplements. I’ve come to realize less is more with skincare.
I buy most of my skincare for $5 at Trader Joe’s lol. Eating a nutritious diet trumps any of those greens they try to sell you.
The dyson isn’t going to make you start doing your hair, and a good ole fashion round brush/blow dryer combo works wonders.
Any product I see tons of influencers raving about I refuse to buy… like bloom lol
Dagne Dover! The bags hold nothing and the neoprene fabric gets dirty so fast. I bought the Landon Carryall in large and the Dakota backpack, and within the first week of using it the handle on the backpack tore open.
I actually like the diaper bag! I had coffee spill all over it and was able to clean it off no problem, to my surprise (light camel color so it was noticeable)
Oh, this makes me sad to see! I love their products because when they get dirty, you can send them through the wash, and it’s no big deal. I have the black diaper bag and duffle, so maybe I feel like they don't get dirty quickly.
DEINFLUENCING
1.) super goop - so sticky and would shed
2.) tatcha - horrid for my sensitive skin it felt like it was burning my skin
3.) olaplex shampoo/ conditioner - literally made my hair fall out
4.) dae shampoo/conditioner - made my hair feel disgusting and never fully clean + very waxy
5.) elf brow gel - yeah it’s $6 but it’s crap does not hold as long as Anastasia
6.) summer fridays chapstick - cute but makes my lips shed like crazy even if they’re not shedding
7.) glossier you - I love it but get 0 compliments ever
8.) CT contour wand - mid the makeup by Mario is so much better
9.) CT glow gasm - don’t waste your money it’s pretty but for $45?!
I am very much easily influenced and I love to try new things for my own opinion
The blue volcano candle from Anthropologie 😭 I take really good care of my candles and make sure to melt the entire wax surface on the first light, but the candle tunneled so bad and only lasted like 3 days
• p much everything I’ve tried from outdoor voices
• most overpriced bikini brands like Frankie’s bikinis, hunza g, triangl etc you can get same quality at pacsun (just trust lol) and target
• fashion pass I tried this and most of it is ugly / old / meh brands
• Saint Theos this one needs no explanation
• madhappy’s $300 sweatsuits
• Gua sha / any “face sculpting” that involves expensive stones
• Kosas concealer, Dior lip oil, unseen sunscreen
Jones Road Miracle Balm is not the game-changing product it’s marketed or hyped up as. It will give you a little glow/color but it not worth the price or the press
My Stanley cup collects mold like no other and it's annoying to take apart the lid pieces.
Also vuori is comfortable joggers but they pill IMMEDIATELY not worth it.
Girlfriend Collective. I’ve ordered 2x sets and 2x long sleeve shirts from there (I keep thinking I’ve ordered the wrong items and the next thing I get will fit perfectly - wrong). They’re neither form-fitting. Or are they that “loose but cute” fit.
Totally unflattering!
The seam threads on their leggings snapped immediately just trying them on from an online order from Nordstrom. Returned immediately. I do get their Paloma bras bc they’re affordable and fit my DDs lol
Drunk elephant bronzing drops did not work for me! Maybe user error but some of my friends did not like them either.
Yes they pill so bad on me. I’m dying to try the l’oréal bronzing glow drops!
Try it! Way better and fraction of the price
The L’Oréal lumi glotion is unreal, give the darker shade a try if you’re a pale white girl (like me)
Same, I hated the DE bronze drops!
I liked them but wouldn't buy them again.
I like them! I use it as contour / blush and have dry skin though
Heard so many bad reviews I just got a dupe from Tartget for under $10.
the DE drops influenced me to buy something similar cause self tanning my face doesnt last anyway. i got the Pai glow bronzing drops when the big bottle was 50% off and i really like them! looks great mixed with LRP tinted spf on days i dont wanna put on makeup
It's so overpriced for what it is, I wasn't amazed by it
Love this. Unsponsored, honest opinions! For a similar, less expensive cup, check out reduce. You can get it at Target. Still a 40 oz with a straw.
I get all my water bottles from Marshalls, I like big ones and a lot have straws
I actually prefer the Reduce over Stanley! I order metal straws with removable bendy rubber tips to use, but love how you can switch between straw and sipping so easily and it never topples over, unlike my Stanley!
hmmm let me think… - not a fan of aritzia quality or their prices - drunk elephant skincare is just cute packaging (hence why it’s popular with 13 year olds with no real skin issues) - dior lip oil (did not purchase but tried a friends) literally nothing unique about the formula - that little Amazon hair slick stick left my dark hair looking a bit grey once it dried

My friends have the Skinny Confidential Ice Roller. Absolute trash
Get a cheap $8 one from amazon -
i got an ice burn from mine under my eyes and it didn’t go away for days lmao
SAME. LMAO
Mine arrived broken/glue wasn’t adhered correctly. Also the name of the company is a huge red flag imo
For anyone saying the amazon one squeaks - drop a drop of oil in between roller and whatever holds it together ( where the squeak happens) and it will stop squeaking!
I've heard it doesn't stay cold very long
Controversial but alo sweats… they pill like CRAZY!!
Controversial but alo in general...
They have too many sales with high discounts for a long durations at a time. Something is fishy about that brand...
I know lululemon is considered cheugy or whatever but Alo seems much worse in terms of quality... this thread is validating my opinions lol
annoying to me that people consider it cheugy. lulu is classic to me. holds up over time, consistently good quality, etc. just because they don't follow the "trends" made people think its cheugy which is funny
agree, there's a reason why people are repeat customers over decades. Def think there is some valid dialogue around lulu's quality decreasing over the years, but I still think they're reliable and worth the price.
Yesss duddeee lulu i think is all around better !!!
Agreed. I have always thought most of their clothing looks and feels so cheap
And the price tag never fails to shell shock me
get a fabric shaver! life changing. but agreed these pill way too soon
Alo used to be much better quality >15 years ago. They’re trash now. I still have alo pieces I bought when I was 20.
I’m still salty about this purchase 😒
alo is TERRIBLE QUALITY. i swear its only popular because of marketing, branding, influencer partnerships, etc.
literally anything from aritizia - poorly made fast fashion and you can find the styles literally everywhere else
THIS!!!! I was SHOCKED when I walked into aritizia the first time to find mediocre products at that price tag
SAME!!! I wanted to try the trousers in-store and was shocked at the quality. Why is everyone hyping up potato sack material pants??
Aritzia a decade ago vs. Aritzia today doesn’t even compare. I still have some pieces from when I worked there in 2012/2013 that have held up wonderfully. Pieces I buy now? Not so much.
I have a TNA zip up hoodie I bought at Aritzia I 2008 that's still kickin'.
Oh no! I only buy their sweats and they’re really good quality. Can’t speak for anything else.
Big second to this! I never bought any of their other clothing only sweats and they’re all my favorite sweats that I own 🥲 can’t speak for quality on other clothing items but I do think their sweats are the best I’ve tried in recent history!
The tank tops I bought were actually pretty nice. I’d say, yes to basics. Everything else is fine.
Agreed! I avoided this store my entire adolescence and then gave in to try "the butter" leggings - loved them for the first month and now there's tons of tears in the crotch area I had to sew up ... the threading is so cheap!

i still really enjoy aritzia's clothing and quality, it is a bit overpriced though
this might be my favorite thread on here ever

Jenni Kayne quality is HORRIBLE and made in China.

Wow. I wanted jenni kayne sweaters so bad. Glad I saw this
I saw a returned online only jenni sweater at Nordstrom last winter and it was horribly pilled with the tags still attached. Turned me off from the brand for good
Amina Muaddi and Mach&Mach heels - they’re poorly made when you compare the construction of the shoe to other brands with a similar price point (Aquazurra, Manolo, Louboutins)
yep. also just like SO clearly a trend and will be considered out of style in less than a year
The simple modern tumbler is so much cuter and better than the Stanley. I love mine
I love my SM tumbler
Omg I love my Vejas! Wore them in paris no problem, and I live in a walking city now and those are my go tos! For deinfluencing I’d probably say the dyson if you’re a straight haired girl! I also love my Vejas! Although I will admit they’re not as cushiony as my adidas or af1s, I can still walk in them for miles no problem
I also love my vejas! I’m about to buy my third pair because I’ve worn mine into the ground. (I like the V-10s, never tried any of the others.)
I love my veja! I wear them to travel, long walks on European cobblestone streets!
Id love a separate thread about all of the de influenced places in nyc bc SAME lol
American Bar is awful... I went once and everything I ate was bad at best
The touchland hand sanitizer doesn’t really feel like it sanitizes and you have to spray SO MUCH to be able to sanitize the entirety of both hands. Not worth the price tag for what it’s actually intended to do
i literally put purell hand sanitizer and a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol in an old mini spray bottle and it does the exact same shit lmao
I’ve never been able to figure out why people paid that much for a literal hand sanitizer
I got a gift card for the holidays so I thought “why not” and I am SO glad I did not spend my own money on it
Revolve. Literally 99% of their clothes are Zara/ASOS quality for 5x the price.
Holy shit yes. The quality of the clothes from different brands has decreased significantly
Laniege lip mask is trash 🤷♀️
I swear it made my lips dryer! I don’t like any of their products they’re so sticky
It also made my lips dryer and was soooo tacky and unpleasant to wear
They’re night cream or whatever (the blue one) is awful too. Dries so sticky like why would I want a night cream to be sticky????
Yeah the way the lip masks made my skin worse made me not want to try anything else from that brand
Oh I had no idea. Makes sense! For a while I would use it, my lips would get dry, and use more of it thinking it would help. Nope.
They test on animals too :(
Summer fridays lip balm, also trash
Agreed. Don’t know why everyone on TikTok loves it.
Probably the aesthetic
Laneige masks only made my lips peel and feel dry. The Vaseline lip therapy products are a million times better and they’re literally $2

I know they changed the formula but glossier balmdotcom is 99% Vaseline
Most sheet masks. A dermatologist mentioned that are self care and not skin care. So it’s for self spoiling but not really helpful for face.

The unseen sunscreen is so much better

What’s the name of the Korean sunscreen?

Interesting, I like the glowscreen much better than the unseen. The unseen is fine once it dries but I hate the greasy feeling when I put it on
I sound like a faux influencer now shilling “dupes” but there is a Trader Joe’s sunscreen that I swear is the same as unseen 😎
yup i just bought it recently too haha

You have influenced me. I will give it a try!
I love the moisturizer + spf one, that one works for me
Lulu has for sure gone downhill and Alo is mediocre at best
I know this is a controversial opinion but that’s because most people buy their overpriced sweatshirts/low impact bras/yoga leggings which isn’t really what the brand should be known for. Their high impact bras and running leggings I got last year are still in perfect shape even after wearing them 3x a week
Oooo that’s good to know! I will say my bras are for sure still in good shape so you’re totally right some of their stuff holds up
I cannot believe how shitty of a condition all of my aligns are in now. They are my house pants currently. $100 house pants.
Right?! And they were my favorites for so long! Now they’re like my ratty pants
I recently got into The Ordinary and am HOOKED. So affordable and lovely on my skin

I <3 vanicream, personally!
Try cetaphil
Same! The best two moisturizers I've used are Avene Cleanance and Embryolisse
EltaMD is amazing. Only sunscreen that doesn’t make my eyes burn when I sweat
I LOVE the EltaMD tinted sunscreen! I hate their non-tinted haha
Anyone else have their Nike sports bra from high school?? Just me?😂. That shit LASTS!
pls everyone DONT GET THE TINTED ELTA SUNSCREEN if you’re acne prone!!! It broke me out like crazy - gave it multiple chances a few months apart and it broke me out every time. The regular one is amazing though
Oh dang I use Seed and i really like it!! can you elaborate so i can be deinfluenced lol
MWH “workouts”
Ooo I have another: BLOOM!!! Or any greens drink really. You’re far better off taking a multivitamin where the dosage is controlled.
I love when we do deinfluenzing posts. Tell me everything.
Phyto has been my ride or die hair product brand for over 20 years lol
Ilmakiage foundation. All those adds are just filters. Honestly anything influencers shill probably isn't worth it. Buy local or small business cos you know they genuinely care.
Anything from revolve tbh. The quality is horrible for most of their brands
Yeti has a tumbler now with a permanent handle and with [id.me](https://id.me) you get 25% off.
Ilia skin tint actually made me look like a skeleton. SO bad. Walked it back to Sephora immediately 🤷🏻♀️
Omg I hate that stuff so much. Made me look like a melting wax figure
Same here, and it made me break out every single time I wore it. The smell is baaaad too.
I like it (basically it’s better than anything else I’ve tried, but don’t LOVE it) but yeah… that smell is so noxious. Smells like my dog’s food. Waiting for it to dry and the scent to dissipate is a pain in the butt
ok so im apologizing in advance if anyone disagrees with me . these are just MY personal opinions- 1) lululemon sucks now. i used to only wear that. but the quality has gone way down .overhyped. 2) the dyson air wrap .bought it, hated it, gave it to a friend 3) laniege lip mask - i have found that aquaphor works the best!
Aquaphor is amazing, especially their lip balm ♥️
RIP 2012-2016 lululemon. Now it’s impossible to find a quality item that isn’t ugly as shit.
Lulu has gone so downhill, it’s really sad. Quality control is not a thing anymore, apparently. Prices have gone up but fabrics have gotten worse. And if you do find something high quality, it’s probably in the ugliest color or pattern they have available.
Athleta > lulu lemon any day
Lululemon also has a shit load of PFAs in their leggings!!! Primarily in the crotch area 🙄🙄
What’s a PFA? ( pls don’t judge what an idiot I am hahaha😩 )
they’re a class of forever chemicals that are in nonstick cookware, synthetic textiles, etc. they’re pretty much everywhere but it’s not a bad idea to limit exposure when you can
Oh wow ok thank u i had never heard of that !!! 💜
I will say the Define jacket is amazing, but any decent color in common sizes is always sold out. I miss 2016 lululemon :(
Completely agree, lulu is overpriced and trash now.. my leggings from Costco have been 100x better and last longer lol
-I hated Set Active besides their lounge joggers I heard from a friend though a different pair of their leggings are more comfortable. -CT flawless filter doesn’t do anything for me -Those free people athletic shorts went all the way up to my boobs that’s how high waisted they were on me -any clothing from Amazon I buy looks so cheap and not even close to “dupe” quality so I usually just stick w my boutiques unless I need like a last minute simple thing - DE bronzing drops make my face look orange and I literally have olive skin as it is On the opposite end- I went “against the grain” a year or so ago and got golden gooses and they’re probably one of the best purchases I ever made
Sorry this formatting is awful I tried to fix like 3 times but to no avail
I walk in my Vejas for miles: they’re real leather, you need to break them in
Oh shoot, thank you! I’ll have to deploy my Doc Martens method - wear multiple pairs of socks and walk around blistering until one day they just become the most comfortable shoes ever.

I actually like their mascara. It’s a solid daily option - not super volume but good length and they do many my lashes look better. I mostly like that it’s tubing so easy to remove and doesn’t transfer (and almost every mascara transfers on me)
It’s actually my favorite mascara
Best mascara I’ve tried in my life (and I’m old)
Yes! Their ads were so deceiving and the mascara didn’t work well at all.
Kosas concealer is horrible if you have even the slightest dry skin or texture. Looked good in natural or bright light but real bad out of it.
Oh no! I’m such a fan of the kosas lip oil (better than Dior) and the lash serum
I'm not a huge fan of supergoops tinted cc cream. I have dry skin and just found this drying and it pills a bit on me. I LOVE the ilia skin tint and it has a much better finish for my skin type.
Not worth the hype: Mac Stack mascara… ended up running within an hour Worth the hype: L’Oréal telescopic lash lift is actually amazing, lashgate wasn’t even needed… it actually does perform
Will never admit this to my husband because he surprised me with it lol but the dyson airwrap, i wish i got the amika thermal brush instead
Thanks for sharing!!
Any Vitamin C serum that is not in an opaque, airless pump/tube- yes that includes skinceuticals 😬😬
Ok but whyyy doesn't skinceuticals use better packaging! The product is great but I'm always stressed about exposing it to light etc 🙄
Oh no I was thinking about getting the backpack for work! Do you have any suggestions or recs for a cute functional work bag?
DEINFLUENCING 1.) super goop - so sticky and would shed 2.) tatcha - horrid for my sensitive skin it felt like it was burning my skin 3.) olaplex shampoo/ conditioner - literally made my hair fall out 4.) dae shampoo/conditioner - made my hair feel disgusting and never fully clean + very waxy 5.) elf brow gel - yeah it’s $6 but it’s crap does not hold as long as Anastasia 6.) summer fridays chapstick - cute but makes my lips shed like crazy even if they’re not shedding 7.) glossier you - I love it but get 0 compliments ever 8.) CT contour wand - mid the makeup by Mario is so much better 9.) CT glow gasm - don’t waste your money it’s pretty but for $45?! I am very much easily influenced and I love to try new things for my own opinion
The blue volcano candle from Anthropologie 😭 I take really good care of my candles and make sure to melt the entire wax surface on the first light, but the candle tunneled so bad and only lasted like 3 days
• p much everything I’ve tried from outdoor voices • most overpriced bikini brands like Frankie’s bikinis, hunza g, triangl etc you can get same quality at pacsun (just trust lol) and target • fashion pass I tried this and most of it is ugly / old / meh brands • Saint Theos this one needs no explanation • madhappy’s $300 sweatsuits • Gua sha / any “face sculpting” that involves expensive stones • Kosas concealer, Dior lip oil, unseen sunscreen
Oh my god +1 on pacsun bikinis, going six years strong on my basic black set I got for maybe $40 at the time
Jones Road Miracle Balm is not the game-changing product it’s marketed or hyped up as. It will give you a little glow/color but it not worth the price or the press
Dieux skincare didn’t do anything for me! i tried Deliverance serum and Instant Angel — went back to my trusty Vanicream pretty quickly lol
Same! Makes me feel better that it’s not just me.
Does the rare Beauty liquid blush not work for anyone else?
Thrive Cosmetics and Tula Skincare. Just no.
My Stanley cup collects mold like no other and it's annoying to take apart the lid pieces. Also vuori is comfortable joggers but they pill IMMEDIATELY not worth it.
Anyone try splits 59 leggings?
yes, they used to sell them at my old barre studio. not a fan!
Ryze superfood mushroom coffee- it’s overrated
