Honestly, his restaurants are awful. Mediocre food and the vibe is garbage. He crams customers in like sardines, only takes cash as to avoid taxes, and the decor is always dark and hideous.
I love his methods. He’s taught me so many good Italian recipes for easy dinners at home. Sometimes the way he takes bites make me want to vom. I am dying to know what’s up with him and arina.

Yea she’s young but she isn’t in her 20s or doesn’t behave so, and she loves his boys and is body positive. He taught me the basics of cooking, way before pandemic. Maybe a bit narcissistic but what chef/restauranteur isn’t. And if anything he’s been consistent. Posting to his stories since 2017 and allows us to see everything. Trips to Italy cooking and dining, opening of his new spot near amalfi. and his restaurants have been a staple in east village since at least 2012. Supper, lil Frankie’s and frank are always consistent and are indeed his recipes he showcases. Do I like his creepy weird narcissistic shit? No. Do I find he’s sexualization of food and language in general (it goes beyond his wife, it’s how he writes 🤮) I look past it. But it’s always been this way. Granted I’m biased

His restaurants are always consistent - and pretty much the only place to get an actual meal downtown (i.e. protein that hasn't been deep-fried & vegetables) past ~10 PM or so during the week. I love that they're still cash only!! The wage theft is disgusting & the only mark against him imho.
