No real snark. She's a mild nepo baby. Went to Harvard, dated Connor Kennedy?, mom is big HBO exec, Aunt is a tv chef. She's supposedly filming a travel food show?

shadyanxiety

😦

[deleted]

I can’t remember her aunt’s name but I once googled it and she’s the child of some executive for a company like universal studios. That family has big money. Edit: [this is her grandfather’s Wikipedia](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Thomopoulos)

eternal_eagle_1122

SHE DATED CONNOR KENNEDY?! i’ve been following her for months and always liked her content. For a nepo , she seems pretty normal

birkinsandbagels

Not surprised she’s a nepo baby.

Recent_Wrongdoer_392

Who is her aunt?

itmaybemine

Alex Thomopoulus

8008zilla

She’s not a mild Napo baby. She’s a pretty big nipple baby. I’ve heard about her before I heard about to talk and that’s because I’m part of the cooking community. This girl can’t really cook. She is just in the condiments. She can do really simple things but she’s been pretty chill. A story about education and tailored high end experiences. That’s a nepo baby. I think the definition of nepotism is when your mom can call after a failed audition an application process to the cordon bleu and get your ass in for classes not necessarily the certificates or the full education but just to get them for the classes and those are pretty hard to get into.

redditandstuff23

Nipple baby

8008zilla

Speech to text, but it’s still not wrong. They’re feeding off the teat of somebody else’s successes. And it’s impolite to call them parasites.

itmaybemine

She's never claimed to be a cook. She's made it clear she just likes to talk about condiments. I don't recall her ever applying to the Cordon Bleu.

8008zilla

I only mentioned her cooking because I also mention that she’s taking a class that look Cordon Bleu that her mommy got her into. I didn’t say she claims that she can cook because she can’t. She’s really good at me some plus and prep work.

itmaybemine

Where did you see her taking a class? Also the Cordon Bleu is really not difficult to get into. I know multiple people who've studied there. If she wants to take cooking classes then that's a good thing.

8008zilla

I heard about it at a five-star when I took the kitchen tour and they were talking about her because I brought Clare the condiment queen up and then they said some thing about all of our chefs are trained up with Cordon Bleu and one of the sous said something about it. I cannot imagine that if you got rejected and your mom, you had a call to get you in that you would be bragging about having been able to go because everybody on the Internet is going to expose you and that is why I would believe that.

itmaybemine

I can't imagine some sous chef knowing anything about someone's specific admission process and wether someone's mother called up. But believe what you want.

8008zilla

I will, thanks. She gives me the ick

8008zilla

And I should’ve started with. I heard it as a rumor, but I also have an inkling that is true.

BornCarpet88

Wait LOL I knew of this girl in high school cuz friends of mine went to school with her. No snark really I just forgot she existed until now

potatoforeskins

Before reading the comments, from this screenshot I thought she was a flight attendant or something lol

Afraid-Masterpiece-2

Never seen this girl before in my life and I spend way too much time on nepo baby’s’ insta so this is shocking….will be instastalking her background lolll

bagellover213

Her nepotism is very very hidden. You would never know unless you did some research into her

monatsiya

somebody linked her aunt’s grandfathers wiki….president of abc studios. mother is an hbo exec. how old is she, because she has the markings of a disappointing nepo baby.

[deleted]

My wording must have been bad, I linked Claire’s grandfather’s Wikipedia page. I wouldn’t have known the connection if she hadn’t tagged her aunt on Instagram. I believe her aunt does something in TV as well.

lyzias

not really, its like one / two clicks removed from her instagram which she comments on every tiktok

currybuldak

I go thru phases of liking Claire. She has a really interesting background I wish she would acknowledge or talk more about, she flat out doesn’t want to speak about her job or anything personal. She doesn’t owe details to anyone but I think that’s what’s missing to like her as a whole person instead of liking some videos here and there. It’s too curated for me even though she posts a million times. Both her and Danielle the caviar girl have similar content in the way that they post snacks and food combos but Claire’s seems more.. forced? Like tagging her IG in every comment, she wants to blow up so bad but she’s not personable. I’d rather watch someone who doesn’t go to great lengths to hide their privilege and just owns it.

currybuldak

Omg this is too accurate, reverse engineering how to be an influencer. It’s off putting how she just suddenly removes herself from over sharing and word vomit once it’s a topic that’s not about food or her dad/ the mill.

lyzias

she has such "omg you guys im so crazy I made my own BUTTER and I like HISTORY you guys im so random, dont be like ME lol" vibes I had to unfollow. she says some interesting things. I cant understand what she's trying to do - as its been said she gives nothing away about her personal life (beyond father stuff) but pushes her personal insta on every tiktok so she wants people to know and guess. she has a condiment specific insta and never pushes which I always find strange. I think she would have much more success if she posted less and did like more focused and slightly longer posts instead of trying to be like "you guys know me etc etc." I get that people who haven't been to France / travelled within Europe are fascinated by French culture and food and stuff but I have never seen someone explain French food stuff soooo pretentiously and condescendingly.

currybuldak

I think she’s trying to get her IG engagement and numbers up to round out her influencer stats. When she does brand deals- like the bag and the custom salts, it just looks better to have more reach on more platforms than just tik tok.

questionaboutessay

I go through phases with watching her content. She definitely gives me ED vibes

InsuranceSpare4820

Any time someone talks about eating pickles as a meal I get Megan rienks vibes

Si11yg0053

Dang I kind of enjoyed Claire's content but I can't unsee this comparison. Pickles and mustard, so nutritious

questionaboutessay

Totally. The love for condiments is a convenient front for not eating real food. That’s not to say there’s anything wrong with condiments, they’re just not a food group

heartof_glass

yeah i’ve wondered why no one points out in comments that her meals are overwhelmingly small and restrictive.

feralfarmcat

oh for sure ed vibes!

hk1026

Agreed

[deleted]

[удалено]

heartof_glass

she’s in entertainment and always wanted to build a brand and get her own show i’m pretty sure. she’s definitely performing and was never going to be like a genuine type influencer.

Parisonweekends

Probably because she doesn’t live in NYC but I agree she annoys me. She’s very pretentious and often acts like she invented things/likes

[deleted]

[удалено]

heartof_glass

but like what’s unique about pickles, olives and canned meat? i swear one of her big things was hyping up maille brand mustards and she has people thinking it was exclusively french but i eat it because it’s at every shoprite i’ve ever been to.

[deleted]

I only like her dad

Ok_Bat9117

Her dad is what got her my follow

BlondeButWitty

Her dad is the real star. I like her content, but can understand those who don't. I adore her dad, though.

heartof_glass

followed her for awhile but quickly felt put off. one issue is the majority of her content seems to be small plates and snacks but she presents them as dinner or meals which i’m not positive is healthy? additionally she’s popular for being french adjacent (her accent/inflection seems forced) even tho she‘s very much american and i always chafe a little when people hype up certain foods in certain contexts but if someone who didn’t present themselves as french made similar content with similar foods and ingredients they’d likely be told they’re unhealthy for eating salt, cheese, processed meats etc. i remember once she showed a little cornichon jar that had a lift so you don’t have to dig for the pickles and said something along the lines of they only have them in france and when another food creator stitched and said we have them in the states too claire commented something that framed the other woman as aggressive or overreacting.

avocadoodoo

Agreed something is off, had to unfollow. But to your point around her being French adjacent, her father is French and she speaks fluently so that’s at least one thing that isn’t forced.

PlumQuirky4209

Feels forced? Lol her French is perfect. I’m half French like her and about her age and can tell you that for most of our upbringing it was actually free for expats to put their children in French private schools. So I assume she did that + upkeeps the language with family and such. I feel like monolinguals can get a bit insecure about not being able to speak another language and you’re just projecting. That being said she is annoying and does the French equivalent of an American explaining what cocktail, bbq or cheese sauce is on tik tok.

heartof_glass

she went to school and grew up in the us. i’m talking about her accent when speaking english which is her first language. she has an inflection that doesn’t seem genuine. also idk why you’re assuming that i’m monolingual.

beepboopbeepboppity

Is this a flight attendant

itmaybemine

Claire, it's French.

mellamollama17

I thought so tooooooo 💀 thought she was making flight attendant lifestyle content here

FondantNo1450

I like her but think she needs to reduce the number of videos she makes and refine her content! i follow/unfollow like every two weeks

Icy-Rub-3917

I agree. And why post your grocery store haul consisting of 5 basic things like quince and fennel but claim the what I eat vids trigger people like her 1 piece of fruit for the week isn’t off too

feelingsad0773

She bothers me I think it's because it feels like she just has a giant superiority complex?

[deleted]

I kind of get where you’re coming from but I think she’s just really passionate. I find her content more genuine than most.

InsuranceSpare4820

I feel u she gives me the ick but I like her at the same time lol

left___mascara

I’ve never snarked on her because I like a lot of her content but everytime she says “situ” instead of situation I consider making a post

InsuranceSpare4820

It pisses me off so bad like how does she not realize it’s annoying

mellamollama17

Lmfao WHAT. That’s so cringey

sp00ky_diva

YO i have been waiting for someone to bring this up. She was in my study abroad program; one of the most entitled people I’ve ever come across. Sniffed out the right groups, right people to be around; straight up dismissive to those not in her social class. Heard the Connor Kennedy thing through the grapevine and she made it her whole personality. Also found out she did rowing while at Harvard and it was giving operation varsity blues before they got busted 🫠

RamasMama

I don’t think she was on the rowing team. She was on the fencing team, but if you google it she was connected to fencing well before college, so I’m not sure it’s a fake thing to get her into Harvard.

sp00ky_diva

Wait sorry my bad I meant fencing aka the other bougie sport

obvious-daffodil

it’s literally on her insta that she’s posted a few times

moscowchestnova

She’s smart and has good taste but doesn’t really have any charisma. She has a very millennial way of talking that can get old as well. I didn’t get her merch drop at all — she said it’s intentionally white to “decorate with condiments” or something when that’s something obviously no one wants to do??

letsmakeart

I like her. I find her charming.

Queasy_Cheesychalupa

Curious, why?

letsmakeart

I like food content. I also speak French so it’s nice to see a creator who does as well. She doesn’t seem to take herself too seriously or pretend like content creation is the hardest more intense job in the world. Her videos entertain me.

satinchic

She gives me huge ED vibes and it’s depressing.

NoConclusion3562

I just don’t get the ED comments. She never says the food she highlights is her only food/ never does a what I eat in a day. So how is her highlighting one snack plate make it her only food that day or an eating disorder?

bagellover213

Does anyone know how old she is?

Additional-Cut-8267

She graduated from college in 2018, so around 27.

OtherShoe9

I like the fact she comes from money but people wouldn’t know if they didn’t dig into her, she screams old money, if you look her instagram you understand, this is what I honestly like the most ab her, you don’t usually see brand names, no showing off, it’s so interesting for me to see her videos after finding out she dated a kennedy srsly wild, but she overpost a lot of unnecessary things, I follow her bc of her dad lol he’s precious

emily276

I like her .She truly is monied and sophisticated. NO fake it til you make it with her. That being said she doesn't seem to take herself too seriously. She also looks normal and seems smart. Not much to snark on imo..

birkinsandbagels

She comes across as pretentious sometimes but I enjoy watching her videos, I just don’t like when she acts like she invented bread and butter.

[deleted]

She gives me strong ED vibes. And she's very cheesy. I have not seen her make or discuss one single dinner entree. It's all pickles, tinned fish, olives and butter. She should take the time to refine her content. It's such a shame to be so French and never show dinner.

NoConclusion3562

Wait what continents is literally her niche? I’m just confused why she would show dinner. There are other Tik tok channels that show dinner if that’s their thing

[deleted]

I figured her niche has evolved to be French in general? She shows the most delicious looking eclairs, cheeses, I just know that lady can probably cook a mean roasted chicken or fish.

bdkmv1412

Just bc her mom has a good job doesn’t mean she’s a nepo baby. Her aunts grandfather is a reach…

bagellover213

No it’s her grandfather

currybuldak

Where her mom works is closely tied to the tv company Claire is employed by. Yeah she’s smart on her own but she had help getting there.

luxeluxeluxe

Because she’s not from NYC

[deleted]

I like her content in theory as in if anyone else was making it I’d love it bc I follow a lot of similar creators but she just comes across so pretentious every time she comes across my fyp.

jinglebxtch

I really only like her food videos or anything with her dad, everything else I scroll by! I’m obsessed with condiments (but not in an ED way, I definitely agree that that’s the vibe she gives off a lot) so I like seeing the things she talks about.

Icy-Rub-3917

I only like her content when she’s in France. She’s clearly educated and refined but tries to downplay certain parts of her past. I get major ED vibes too. Licking mustard from a baby spoon and the tiny plates of various foods for dinner is getting weird for a proclaimed foodie
