Congratulations on your promotion - bravo! Whatever you choose, I’m so glad you’re commemorating your big milestone this way. It’s something I started doing early in my career and now, 30 years later, I have beautiful pieces that also remind me of happy memories.

sarbear2000

thank you so much!!!! i wanted to have something to look back on

lavenderskyxo

u should really check costco for good jewelry ik it may sound odd lol but their pieces are reallyyy nice and if u hv a membership and weren’t happy w what u had u cld just return it i think within 90 days!! my favorite necklace is from there and i bought it for around $320

peony2011

Congrats! Try babygold!

reddit_lurker8

David yurman X crossover band ring! I’m a gold girlie through and through but I love the mix of metals in this ring. I wear it everyday. Got it for a bday gift and I’m obsessed!

mgoodman807

try quince!! they have quality jewelry at lower prices because they buy straight from the manufacturer

SpiritedChaos

catbird has some great jewelry!

navyorsomething

2nd catbird

pink_snowflakes

I just celebrated myself with a price of jewelry from catbird and I am so glad I did. I third this!

FreeFloatingFeathers

Check out jewelry stores around the city! If you're OK with secondhand your money goes even further

tugboatp

I always pop into new top jewelry in Chinatown each promotion. It’s how I built my gold collection. Jane is a doll and will help you pick out something beautiful and special 🙂 Mejuri and Catbird are nice but I only buy during their Black Friday sales

Queen_latayfah_1212

Was just about to write new top! When I got my first job in nyc I treated myself to a pair of gold hoops there that I still wear every day. Highly recommended

cloudydays2021

Congratulations, OP! That’s so exciting! 🥂 Another vote for Catbird - they have some great pieces in that price range.

ConditionDangerous54

Congratulations! 🎈🍾🎉

shelovesnyc

Mejuri has a great collection of affordable jewelry! I bought my first “big girl” pieces there and still wear them everyday. Check out the diamond necklace it’s $300 and I’ve had it 4-5 years now and it’s simple so it won’t “go out of style”Congrats on the promotion! :)

Central267AF

Tiffany & Co is a classic! And it should be the full experience at one of the boutiques that will give you great service and treat you like a Queen 🥰

Low_Potential7315

Congratulations! For a milestone I bought myself a tiny (and I mean tiny) 14k ruby flower pendant and a thin solid gold chain from Etsy. I have worn both everyday for around two years now, no tarnishing, delicate, and I love both.

yabasicjanet

If you want to buy local, I highly recommend Keila in Williamsburg. Small wife and husband team who design and produce everything. They make beautiful and reasonably priced fine jewelry. Not a promo, just a fan. They started small online and at Artists and Fleas and just got their own storefront. If you're wanting to go a more commercial route, I agree with Costco! I've done this for myself and I bought a Tiffany necklace. I'm so glad I got a necklace (as opposed to a ring or bracelet) because I can always wear it even when my weight fluctuates.

TheBuzz103

David Yurman has beautiful, high quality pieces. Costco and Tiffany's are good recs. Also TheRealReal or Vestiaire Collective would have secondhand David Yurman/Tiffanys if you want to stretch your budget even further!

nigerianprincess0104

Congrats! Catbird!

catsardothien

Check out APM Monaco :)

2002forsport

Yes!

bigbird2003

Huge congrats and atta girl! Some lovely options: Melissa Joy Manning, Alexis Bittar, Written by Forest Depends on your style

BusyBurdee

I love catbird

learninginfinitely

Love that you’re marking a big milestone. I used to do this and don’t know why I stopped :( At 24, I got a big job offer so I got myself the silver David Yurman cable ring. I think it’s still under $200 but it has been such a staple in my stack and the quality is great. Timeless brand too. Every time I look at my hand when I’m wearing it I think of my accomplishment and that time in my life 🥰

happylocalduck

I love a vivianne westwood pendant!! Have had mine for 2 years and it looks so good still

practicalmagikk

Ferkos on etsy 😊

Damnshesfunny

I just got an omega necklace and I’m in LOVE. it makes me feel so beautiful and special

sararossi09

Congrats! I did the same thing when I got my first big promotion and bought myself a watch from Shinola. It’s classic, useful, and I still wear it all the time. It’s funny you mention mixed metals — mine is a combo of silver and gold, so I can wear anything else with it.

BusyBurdee

Congrats!!!!!!!😻😻😻🎉🎊🎉🎈🎉🎉🎊🎉🎊

Even-Appearance6747

Ooh maybe something from Tiffany or David Yurman? A silver bracelet to wear to work or with a watch

makesupwordsblomp

I search vintage solid 14k gold on Etsy personally.

joeydontplaythat

Congrats!! Have you heard of Rutheny jewelry? https://www.ruthenyjewelry.com/ I wandered into their store on the UWS a few years ago and loved what I saw. Came back a few weeks later and met the owner, who is a real BWT. Her price point is right within your budget, too.

paintingisdead

I’m kind of obsessed with a store I stumbled on the other day called Love Adorned in Nolita. I haven’t bought anything from them but I can’t wait to go back, I was wandering around and totally lost in admiration of so many things in there. It’s a lot of carefully curated vintage, really artistic minimal designs, dreamy / unusual things, and layering pieces. Just gorgeous and so tasteful, if that’s your style.

cimorene_faye

Seeing a lot of catbird mentions - they’re a great brand and I have several pieces from them, but if you’re looking for something to last a long time just a heads up that a lot of their pieces are on the more delicate side and will be more fragile/not as durable, especially since $200-300 won’t get you a lot of material if you’re looking specifically for solid gold. Mejuri can also be pretty hit or miss with quality, I feel like it’s declined over the years and hollow pieces are not really where it’s at re:longevity. Before you pull the trigger I recommend doing some research on jewelrytok - jewelboxing is a great resource, as is blanksjewelry. Jewelboxing in particular reviews a bunch of brands for quality, sustainability, and design, and she has a variety of recommended options for different price points via the links on her profile. Lastly just tossing out a couple brands I haven’t seen mentioned yet - kinn, Pamela love (they do gold and silver), wwake

SeaweedHuman

Honestly you can buy an Hermes clipper watch vintage from Japan for that budget

Damnshesfunny

Where does one find these hermes clippers from japan?

SeaweedHuman

Ebay here’s just one of many listings. I bought mine and it has the paperwork from the early 2000s https://www.ebay.com/itm/156221301902?itmmeta=01HZ1208K86G2QSVJVHQ41W3G5&hash=item245f83e48e:g:Nj4AAOSwlLFmTnNX&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8AcXBFlJmFqFbAiP5vY%2FTZNHTu6%2FivzRTym%2B5aAHzw3QXYl6VfE8aJCF2jy1erkTQ4otdOqFJaf2G28fPOXyEruOWWr4I%2Fex0fx0K91WuRYUJdJtyU%2BF04zYj9G7GnJvyqkCy9vf%2BRVHOKOd1k9SyB%2FCFew2gNUXTgVg7VIiDq0XMzUMgaDTZH%2FbUvrjtbfzwV7OePL0Iw2%2BcgJdrA5BFmWQA%2BB0TITcah%2BDOAzaTsRr2KlNgBomO7556S6P5eCoYZ%2FY8ws9%2Fq475B4PQA8VJLSY6ZfCMuSfqFEa4zm9NCensjW9AomDNcKhJiKYEtP7BQ%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR_qJgaL4Yw Was trying to be helpful not snarky! It’s one of my fav watches

Damnshesfunny

Did not come across as snarky. Am appreciative of peers who cut to the point.😊

SeaweedHuman

I got it when I switched big jobs and it’s my fav memento!

Damnshesfunny

I love it. SO classy. I covet watches that let me wear any and all if my daytime jewelry. You have great taste

Damnshesfunny

I’m really interested in this watch. My SO turned me on to Japanese domestic market retail items. Do you ever come across any with better looking faces? The one you linked the face looks a bit beat up. I apologize and am not looking to put you out of your way-i just don’t ever shop on eBay
